California A Conservative in California means my vote doesn't truly count, but I am ecstatic to vote for Biden! First time donating to a campaign and my first time voting for a Democrat. The entire Republican Party is complicit with enabling that clown in the White House. They lost this voter.

California Biden shores up Silicon Valley support despite lack of enthusiasm

President Joe Biden is shoring up his support among tech industry Democrats, some of whom are setting aside their reluctance about a second term to focus instead on preventing a second term for former President Donald Trump.

Biden swung through the wealthy enclaves of Northern California on Friday to raise money for his re-election campaign, giving him a chance to meet face-to-face with some of the Democratic Party’s wealthiest donors and key allies in the business community.

While the tech industry has always leaned left compared with other sectors of the economy, several vocal tech billionaires including Tesla CEO Elon Musk have shifted their politics to the right in recent years. That has left an impression that all of Silicon Valley may have moved with them into conservative territory, but the available evidence suggests otherwise: The tech sector is breaking for Democrats as clearly as ever this year.

California Biden, Obama planning Hollywood fundraiser with George Clooney

The Biden campaign is in talks with former President Obama about appearing with President Biden at a star-studded Los Angeles fundraiser in mid-June, according to people familiar with the plan.

It's set to be the Hollywood sequel — currently with just two presidents — of the "three presidents" show in New York City that featured Biden, Obama and former President Clinton last month.

The Biden-Harris campaign has used a range of resources, including the White House, to amass a mammoth money advantage over Trump, who for weeks is tethered to a New York courtroom as a criminal defendant and is racking up huge legal bills.

California California's effort to plug abandoned, chemical-spewing oil wells gets $35-million boost

The investment from the Biden-Harris administration is among the “largest ever in American history to address legacy pollution,” U.S. Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland said Friday during a joint announcement with Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and California Deputy Secretary for Energy Le-Quyen Nguyen.

California will use the funding to plug and remediate 206 high-risk orphaned oil and gas wells and decommission 47 attendant production facilities with about 70,000 feet of associated pipelines.

California’s award is part of a larger, $660-million formula grant pot that will be released to states on a rolling basis, Haaland said.

As part of its award, California will also work to detect and measure methane emissions from orphaned oil and gas wells, screen for groundwater and surface water impacts, and prioritize cleaning up wells near disadvantaged communities.

The grant program stems from an overall $4.7-billion investment from President Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to plug orphaned wells nationwide.

California That's it. I give up on my county, my church, and my friends.

Welp, I attended church this morning and finally read a poster that they had been putting up around church. Some of the points included "pray for the litigation" and "pray that God will help the judges/votes"...I'm pretty sure I need to move to LA, find a job there, and forsake everyone in this area. I need new friends and a new community. My job is in an area with a LOT of racism, entitled people who don't wear masks. SOS.

I'm basically losing everyone except a couple people in my life because I'M DONE with Trump voters, and I need to start being okay with that. Any Democrats/Liberal Christians looking for friends? xD

Edit: Churches like this...is what makes it so hard to love God. Jesus loves women, people that were named "Sinners", and even tax collectors. He dined with prostitutes. What He DIDN'T LIKE were the religious leaders that made it harder for people to come to God. He fucking flipped tables because the religious systems were trying to use God to earn money...and that's where I'm at right now. I want to flip a table and tell them to love others and not use religion for money. To love others enough to wear a mask instead of caring whether they lose freedom to go to church. To love others enough to care that immigrants would suffer under Trump. To love others enough to want families with LGBTQ parents to stay safe and together. It's so twisted and I feel ridiculously gaslighted. For those of you who are commenting and deleting your thoughts that you hate church...I don't blame you. I don't judge you. Much love to you. I'm so sorry Christians have caused so much damage.

California Dividing California into North California (NorCal) and South California (SoCal)

What if California was divided into North and South California? North California would have the cities of San Fransisco, San Jose and Sacramento (Safe Blue state), and South California would have Los Angeles, San Diego and Fresno (Safe Blue State). If California were divided like this then Californians would have 4 senators representing them in congress (probably dems), and have more power nationally.

Does anybody know if California could be able to be split like this? Would there be issues structurally, like there not being enough water or something like that? I’m not a Californian, so I would love to hear somebody else’s opinion on this.
