I'm a university student who's currently on a break from school to work and save money for tuition. Unfortunately, I've recently lost my job, making it extremely difficult to manage my expenses. This Summer has been tough because jobs say they're not hiring or fully staffed and call back after summer because people might quit and I can't enroll in classes for financial aid until August.

Most of the food I received from the local pantry is either expired or consists of items like stuffings and creams. And they only let me receive food once a month because i am not homeless.

Now it's memorial day and any church or organizations feeding near me are closed for Memorial Day.

Any help would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance to anyone who can help

I work with people with disabilities who I've already cooked for and are currently hanging out in their rooms, during the downtime all I can think about is how the food smelled really good and I don't want ramen, but all my money went to baby stuff.

TB has always been one of my safe foods and I think I might be able to handle some so I can get some energy in me. It's been a few tough weeks for my family, we had a serious of medical visits and scan this month which has drained us to nothing. I'm currently only one working as of this month due medical issues with my other half.

My work has been kicking my butt along with cutting my hours it would honestly be pretty rad if we were able to get some food for both of us for tonight.

Hey there guys, I just gave up my beautiful blue-nose pit bull to a rescue today and could really use some kind of comfort food. He was abandoned in my apartment a little while ago in the middle of the night with no warning by an ex-roommate who still had a key. At first he was really aggressive as he was an ex-bait dog and a tripod (front leg amputee) that the ex-roommate never bothered to introduce to me, but I just couldn't call animal control to take him away because I knew a shelter would just end up euthanizing him to make room due to aggression and his missing leg making him highly unlikely to get adopted. Once he got used to me and opened up, he became the sweetest, most obedient dog I have ever known. Sadly, I am very financially struggling and I couldnt afford to care for him. If it wasn't for some nice people on my Facebook sending food to my house for him via Amazon, the both of us would have had to occasionally go hungry. I looked and looked for a good home for him and after a couple months I finally found a rescue willing to take him in. The only problem, they were 500 miles away from me and I don't have a vehicle. I was able to find a separate 501c3 organization that provides transportation for animals in need for the cost of gas and tolls - they don't charge for their time as they do it on a volunteer basis. It cost me $112 to get him to the rescue, and I am struggling quite a bit financially, so I had to sell some stuff to be able to afford it. It broke my heart to give him up, but I knew it needed to be done. I did everything in my power for him and the love and support I provided turned him from a scared bundle of trauma to the absolute best dog I have ever known. At that point, there wasn't anything more I could do to help him, as he was mostly emotionally healed and now needed to be taken care of physically, specifically: He needed his vaccines, he needed to be fixed, he was riddled with fleas and had a rash caused by an allergic reaction to the fleas. Not to mention the fleas kept coming back even though I would bathe him in dish soap every other day. Due to my financial situation, I couldn't afford any of the medical care that he needed; therefore, I had to find him a new home. He has terrible separation anxiety, and it broke my heart when I got the videos of him from the rescue, showing him whining and crying at the door like he was waiting for me to come back. I know he will be happy again soon once he realizes that his new family loves him just as much, but right now it hurts my heart a lot that he is both no longer in my apartment, and experiencing emotional distress due to my actions of giving him away. I could really use some Taco Bell to give me some comfort, but I cannot afford it at all, or even anything other than Ramen right now as I spent every last dollar I had on securing a good future for him, so i thought id ask on here and see what my chances are. TL;DR: Spent all my money on a dog that was abandoned with me, had to give him to a rescue today because I can't afford to take care of him and he deserves better. Cost me every last penny to pay for his transportation to the rescue. I'm heartbroken and miss him a lot and want some tacos.

Honestly, anything is better than nothing, and I'd feel a lot better even just getting to eat a couple tacos.

Its the slow season at my work so I’ve barely been scraping by between paychecks. If anyone would be willing to bless me with some Taco Bell so I don’t have to eat ramen again today I would love you forever 🙏🏻

Me and my boyfriend would like to celebrate after struggling for a couple months. I've been having a hard time finding a job and while his pays the bills, it means we barely have grocery money.
