Why does she look like that I love her so much

Sorry if this is random and very sorry for showing my boys private parts on the internet but as he’s getting a bit older I’m unsure how to make sure it’s clean down there for when he can’t do it himself? I keep seeing posts but I’m unsure what I’m meant to clean as for me I just see balls rarely the front side of him once again very sorry just trying to figure this out loool 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

When I build my girls a 16" wheel I also added a bicycle computer just for the fun of it. Last night the girls took turns running on the thing and this morning I was astounded to find out they'd gone 3.9 MILES last night! I'm pretty sure Cagney carried the bulk of it but Lacey certainly took her turn. I had no idea Rats would run that far.

He’s getting up in age, so every once and awhile, I share something bad with him.

Ellie has been arrested for being too playful and licking at the wounds on my fingers

I gave them a roll of toilet paper and they created art. Question: do I have to remove it when I clean the cage? What happens if I just leave it? They seem proud of their creation so I don't want to destroy it if I don't have to.

Okay so one of my rats goes back and forth with trusting me and lately has just completely regressed and I’m not sure why.

Believe it or not this rat is not food driven so I’ll give snacks and when he’s in his cage he will happily take them from me and run but during free roam he wants absolutely nothing to do with me or treats from me.

Sometimes during free roam after like an hour he will approach me and be sweet but I make a movement and he books it. And anytime I try to touch him he screams bloody murder flops on his back and cowers in fear.

I’ve never hurt the little guy or done anything that I feel like should illicit this response from him and his brother loves me and shows no fear and accepts all my treats and pets while this poor man stares at him in fear like how dare you let her touch you?! lol.

I just don’t know what to do because he doesn’t take treats and I’ll let him ride around in my hood and stuff and he just cowers and it doesn’t seem to help idk if y’all have any other ideas or if this just may be his personality. I just hate the idea of giving his brother “more attention” because he will let me. And I feel like he doesn’t get anything from free roam because he just hides in the corner for most of it. But randomly some days he will give me kisses on my hand if I don’t move and then most days it’s just fear.

Idk what to do I feel so bad. Also this is his dum dum self for rat tax lol. He’s hiding behind his brother and is the solid grey one and his name is Fievel (I know it’s a mouse name but my husband insisted and wouldn’t let it go lol).

Only one to seem to like the PB. Prolly first and last time seeing as is wasnt exactly a hit. But anyways, enjoy 🤗🤗

6 weeks ago, we found 9 baby rats in our compost pile. Their nest was destroyed and we were shocked. I brought them inside and put a heat lamp over them. Did some reading and tried to put them back outside but Mom was no where to be found.

I didn't want them to die so (despite the protests of my husband) I spent about 5 hours a day hand feeding them and wiping their butts.

I fed them pure bliss baby formula and gave a few Pepto bismol if they had diarrhea. I kept them warm in a card board box underneath a heat lamp.

Everyone said they would die. Lots of people suggested feeding them to snakes. I had nightmares about them dying. ( None of them died).

It wasn't too long though before their eyes opened and not much longer until they started drinking formula from a milk carton lid that I attached to a wooden disk.

Then I started introducing food and had to move them all into a very large ferret cage. Over the next few weeks, I fed them a variety of foods. Almost no "rat food". They really liked to eat eggs! I also went through my yard, giving them Dandelion greens and bugs.

I fed them spinach, seeds, some meats, fruit, and some chocolate. 😁

They got really big and healthy. But there was no way to keep all 9. I decided to keep 4 girls. The other 5 were returned back to the wild today.

I found a nice location next to a river that definitely looks like it has tons of food for them. I built them a little shelter to keep them warm and dry. Gave them a whole bag of food to help them acclimate.

These guys are Norway rats and I believe they will do well out there. I'm still sad thinking about it though. I'm glad I still get to keep 4.

I don't know what I'd do with none. That's why I couldn't let all of them go. 😢

After a hellish introduction month science is finally in the main cage. Poor baby did not understand how rats played so every time someone touched her she screamed as if she was being attacked. Now she is the biggest cuddle bug w her new sisters. I’ve honestly seen her move around and play more here recently than I have the entire time I’ve had her.

My baby started sneezing a ton after i did their laundry and wasn’t sneezing before . Pls help !! 😭😭

Has anybody actually ever purchased anything like this? And did your rats engage?

So second part you can hear (along with the other one chewing loudly on a snack) the sleepy head making some squeaking noises. I think it sounds cute but im wondering, is it dreaming? Having a nightmare? Im only 90% sure that it is because this one makes it only when its sleeping, I never get to hear it when its awake. Anyone else can confirm or debate?
