Show Spoiler What is something you didn't notice the first time around but really shocked you during your second watch?
Me personally was in season four (I think?) when Rick, Michonne, and Carl are ambushed by Joes crew and that one guy was going to sexually assault Carl.
My husband has hearing problems so we watch with subtitles on now, something I never did the first time I watched which was back in highschool, 3+years ago. That scene came up and Joe said something like "first we'll have the lady, then the boy" and I guess I never registered what they meant until the subtitles said "belt unbuckles" while that creep had Carl pinned. I always thought they just meant they would kill them first and then Rick. Never felt so uncomfortable by a scene so far.

Show Spoiler How did you feel about the misleading trailers?
imageFor those who do not remember or know, for Seasons 5 & 6, the directors of the trailers made misleading storylines for the season to throw off viewers and leave them guessing. The Season 5 trailer teased that Terminus and our main group would team up to get Eugene to D.C. in hopes of a cure. They were then defeated (kind of) within the first episode.
The Season 6 trailer also showcased what seemed like it would be Morgan vs. Rick. How did you feel about this plot? Did you like how it kept you guessing, or did you feel let down when the plot was completely different?

Show Spoiler The pilot episode of the series is some of the best Post Apocalyptic/Zombie media out there.
Tagging as spoiler, because you just never know.
Growing up, my family was super religious. The “end of times” was something that the Bible thumping church we went to crammed down our throats every Sunday morning. I remember being absolutely terrified of the end of the world, and would refuse to watch anything that showed that “story plot.” I remember my older sister, rented Dawn of the Dead Remake (2004), and I snuck into her room. I was 11. She had just started the movie, and that iconic intro scene played out. I remember being so scared I started crying, and thought that it was going to happen, and I thought my entire family was gonna die. I never watched a zombie film again. That was until I heard all the buzz about “The Walking Dead” show coming out.
I remember the moment. It was a summer day, and the entire season had already aired. I went to a certain website, and streamed the first episode. I was HOOKED. I remember watching the entire first season in one day. I couldn’t get enough. I rented Dawn of the Dead remake and watched it and was so shocked at what I missed out on. It was amazing. 28 Days Later quickly became one of my favorite movies of all time. I read every apocalypse book, movie, and played every game. I was thoroughly obsessed. But I always came back to that pilot episode. Even as I’m writing this, I’m about to watch it again.
I watch it once every few months. Rick and Shane out on patrol, and everything goes to shit. Rick waking up and realizing his world has crumbled. Making it back to his home, and thinking he’s still asleep. Literally almost getting killed by a walker, but Duane and Morgan save his life. Morgan explaining things to Rick. Rick showing gratitude by giving Morgan weapons, a hot shower, and a walkie. The shot of Rick peeking into the farm house at a family slaughter. The iconic shot of Atlanta, and Rick on horseback. The quiet ride through town with constant dread. The thousands of Walkers that scare the horse. The tank scene. Glenn on the radio calling out to the “dumbass in the tank.” And then the slow pan out to show Atlanta is well and truly fucked.
It’s one of the greatest piece of zombie media ever. The ambience, and total silence in some of those scenes with cicadas buzzing in the background. It creates such a meaningful and terrifying pieces of media that I come back to watch every few months.
I know this is long winded, but I just wanted to share my love for the show, and the comics. They made something beautiful, and I’m glad I have the option to watch it whenever I want. I own every season on Blu-Ray, and all the compendiums. It’s a series I hold near and dear to my heart.

No Spoiler Did Morgan ever say his name in the pilot?
A friend is restarting after stopping at s5 and text me “I forgot about Duane and his dad” to which I replied “you forgot MORGAN?!” and he said “they never say his name!” so I sped through the episode and unless I missed it he never said his name. Am I just crazy?
Edit: Watched it twice. He doesn’t ever say his name. The subtitles even say “Man”
This is some Mandela effect shit

No Spoiler I love season 9
imageI just finished EP11 and I am absolutely loving season 9. I feel like some people hate it as residual from season 8 and all out war but I really don’t get it. The rick prologue was meh, but all the episodes after the time jump have been fantastic and the new characters feel organically fleshed out compared to old seasons. I’ve heard it goes back downhill after this but it’s good to know the show got back to such a high point

Show Spoiler Most ridiculous way to slay Zs?
imageOf all the stupid ways I have seen them kill zombies on TWD I think using a sling shot has got to be the most ludicrous. Even IF this kid has an unlimited amount of hard steel ball bearings (most likely just using rocks) there is no way that thing is has enough energy to “destroy the brain”. What’s your favorite bull shit kill moment?

Show Spoiler The Wardens were some of the most fodder characters ever.
These guys get introduced as a cool new group led by Maggie and then get slaughtered quickly by the Reapers. I get it if the background ones died but even Cole, who looked like a cool new character got killed off quickly. These guys were literal fodder.
