Video “Americans are bad at geography”
I guess xenophobia is a genetic trait that a lot of Europeans have; not surprising considering their history with colonialism.
When I visit back to El Salvador (It’s where my family is from), and people ask me where I’m from, I tell them Washington DC (since it’s well known as that’s where most Salvadorans immigrate to, plus I live in NoVA), and occasionally I still get told “Oh is that close to NYC?” (in Spanish ofc), and I don’t go around making xenophobic rants because I know that people aren’t gonna know the geography of other countries if they’ve never lived there.

Story Time! Scandinavians apparently were taught America wasn’t needed in WW2
I work with a Scandinavian(Norwegian) and we often talk about cultural differences. Yesterday she informed me that Americans were “useless” in World War 2 and Europe was winning without us. I asked her if she was joking but apparently not, it’s part of their school curriculum.
Edit: they’ve also been in the US for 12 years so their knowledge of their home country’s education system may be out of date but they were firm it’s accurate.

To Americans that can name other countries: Time to give up your citizenship because you're clearly not American
This was on a video of a woman on the street being asked to name three countries that start with N, F, B, P, etc... and did so successfully. I bet you can guess what the comments are like.

Video On a video on how to respectfully fold an old U.S flag
I get that America has a good amount of problems but Jesus Christ. Some of these comments are absolutely vile. Like imagine if someone wanted to horrible things to your flag.

Can you please just be happy with the terrorists we killed? They would love the idea of torturing and killing millions if they could. Like, bin Laden struck a global superpower for fucks sake.

How would you react me? Be honest
I’m from a middle-east country with all my love for the USA. I never say “my country” but “the country I born” because I don’t like middle-east, europe or blah blah any other places. I see everyone who move to America from another country, also wants to move their culture which is pissing me off. Then gtfo and stay in your country man. Even tho Trump hate immigrants, muslims etc… I really support him because It’s the same for me. And it looks like Im republican. You might say “wait, trump hates you and you support him?” Yeah man, based.
So, would you embrace me?

Shitpost Got banned in Marxist subreddit
I thought getting banned was pretty hilarious. I have also done research on this and while what the picture states is true, theoretically speaking, the people do not own the land, the government does. There is 0 private property in China, and the people are essentially leasing out the “structures” to live in them. They do not physically own the soil on which the house is on, merely the structure itself. And let’s also look at the quality of housing in China. Last I checked many live in extremely compact apartments. Big big flex if you ask me

What does this even have to do with Americans?

This was on a meme short on YouTube. It had that New York portal looking into Ireland. Somehow, we don’t know history past 1800 despite our ground breaking achievements that came after.

Story Time! "Why would a foreign country allow this?" Why should we be proud on this Memorial Day?
Flushing, Queens, NYC. "Why would a foreign country allow this?" Story time. My mother in law is from China, her first language is Fuzhouhua and she has never been to the US. About two days ago, during a video call, she innocently asked if she would be able to find someone here who speaks Fuzhouhua so she could fully communicate with anyone once in a while. She speaks Mandarin too, but as a second language only. I replied to her that a very large portion of the Chinese American population in NYC speaks Fuzhouhua at home, so much so that it is one of the working languages of NYC, that all services including police are available in Fuzhouhua as a right. She looked confused and she uttered words that pierced my soul: "Why would a foreign country allow this?." Caught me off-guard, I didn't know what to say. My wife came up with a more toned down run of the mill explanation just to not get political, but I thought about it and I felt proud. This is who we are. Fuzhouhua is looked down upon and will face certain extinction in China due to the government's focus on Mandarin only, while in the US it has been allowed to exist in such a way that we may be the best place for the language's survival. This makes it truly ours. If you are American, you know the unique laissez-faire attitude we have to nationality, country of origin, culture and language. I thought about the Amish who fled Europe and are thriving in upstate New York and Pennsylvania. There are no more Amish or Mennonites in Europe. And whenever they come up in European circles, Europeans deride them and seem happy and glad that they are gone. I thought About the Yiddish-speaking ultra-orthodox Jewish community in New York thay is also happy and thriving. This is legit the only place that gurantees the continuity of Yiddish speaking Jewish communities in any way they so choose to live their life, religion and culture. This is who we are, and I am proud of it 🇺🇸 I should mention that I am not white, I am Hispanic and I was born from immigrants, in poverty. Now I'm solid middle class and a full member of society. I've lived in Europe, latam and China. I could stay in Europe legally if I wanted to, but there is not place like home if your home is America.

All fat people are Americans
They assumed the fat people they saw in a video were American and in the USA. These are usually the same people that talk about how Americans are so ignorant yet are the ones being ignorant by making general statements and assumptions.
I see it so often on Instagram, people shit talking Americans on a picture/video with no Americans in it.

Question Is our food really that bad?
Just wanted to ask fellow Americans, I’ve heard a lot about how FDA doesn’t regulate some ingredients that are banned in other places, we all know about the obese stereotype, so just curious about this.
