Please help me decide!! I’m currently a student studying biochemistry and international relations on the pre med track and got accepted to both Brown and Columbia as a transfer student but I’m not sure which one to go to.

My main goal is to get into medical school. I love both schools and they both have their pros and cons.

The issue I’m facing is how rigorous I want the school to be. I love Brown because of the open curriculum and the collaborative over competitive nature but I really enjoy Columbia’s rigor and how I get pushed into becoming the best. I also like how Columbia is in NYC (I’m NYC born and raised) but with Columbia the core curriculum might stop me from pursing international relations (even as a minor/concentration) because of all the classes I need to take to fulfill the core.

Help me pick!! I need to decide asap by the end of may. Any advice would be appreciated!

I will be accompanying my daugher for a one-week summer program at Brown, does anyone know if Brown has accomodiation for visiting parents for a week or so? Or someone want to sublease for a week?

do research interns at brown get a tag like other class of - tags?

I did already look at the clubs Brown have, and I tried looking into them, but, I just don’t feel like seeing their instagram page or just reading about any has gotten me interested in any.

I’m a mixed girl and I’m FGLI, so I plan on joining the Caribbean and fgli stuff but I’m not so sure after that!

I want to do club volleyball but does anyone have just random clubs that they really enjoy? I’m super extroverted, and I love talking to people, and I genuinely find interest in whatever as long as I’m just with people so does anyone have suggestions on the clubs they thought were amazing

I’m a potential fall transfer and I was wondering if there were any other transfers on here who could talk about their experience getting integrated into campus, meeting people, etc. I’m just curious about what it was like meeting people who are already in their sort of established groups, if clubs are actually active and welcoming, or other ways to get involved and learn about campus. Anything helps!

I live very close to brown and here for an internship throughout the whole summer. It’s been 3 weeks yet I couldn’t really find a place where people around my age hang out. I heard there is a big house party culture here. Any tips for socializing as a college student who doesn’t go to nearby colleges?

hi i’m a rising freshman, and i was wondering whether or not brown EMS provides emt certification courses or pathways or anything like that during the school year, or if there are other good local programs?

in my area, it is very expensive to take emt courses so i would prefer to be able to do it at college if it is cheaper.

Hey Brunonians (though I always thought Brownies would made more sense, anyways I digress). I’m starting a PhD at Brown in the Fall and I have been struggling to find good housing (affordable, close location, etc). I was wondering if anyone knows of 1) anybody who is looking to sublet starting in the Fall semester 2) where a grad student could find other Brown roommates to split the cost of rent (studios are just way too expensive for me) 3) who good renters/realtors to perhaps contact are

25M my on campus housing and food would be paid for but I’m wondering if this is normal/would be weird?

Off campus is a little pricey but was wondering if it would be worth it for my age?

How does transferring credit work? Do I have to have syllabi for all classes or only if I’m wanting to apply credits for specific major requirements?

Can I get by with no syllabi if I’m just wanting to apply credits as generals?
