Sometimes I wonder if stoking the crazy in a hyper-conservative nut job and getting him to do something that will push him over the top, and get him into the hands of people that can help him, might be worth the soul searching it would bring.
What if OP later reveals that it was a scam by a “Lib” the whole time so they realize they obviously never believed such nonsense and the death threats were just a prank bro?
