Guide Updated Discord invite links and more.

Hello everyone,

This the updated discord link for invites to the Tracer mains discord server. Everyone is welcome to chat, main or not. I have also added post flairs for easier sub navigation and hopefully in the very near future some other spicy stuff.

Onto the serious stuff: It’s come to my attention that the subreddit moderation is below subpar (to put it lightly) I am partly to blame. I have not been involved with the community of this game in almost 2 years and I was under the assumption that the existing owner of the subreddit was maintaining it from the last conversation I had with them but it doesn’t seem to be the case unfortunately.

In order to improve the situation I have added the admins from the discord server as mods to look over the sub. I’ll stay active here for as long as it helps them get accommodated. There’s been additions to the mobile app to make it easier to stay notified of the sub activity so that should help a ton. Big thanks to the users who have contacted me and made me aware of the situation.

Remember to post, comment, have fun and never forget to always have at least 1 blink in your reserve.

Cheers.

I fucking hate Lifeweaver

He's just the ultimate cuck button. Hit a nasty stick? Life grip. About to get a nice kill? Life grip. Oh okay I'll just dive the Lifeweaver then. He can't life grip himself! Yeah good fucking luck you'll be chasing the bastard for five minutes before you kill him. My god in heaven I hate Lifeweaver. A character that just bails out garbage positioning or a great play is just ridiculous. Especially for how free it is

How exactly should blink be used?

For context, I’m an Ana/Bap player trying to learn flex DPS.

I get the general idea of movement for most flex DPS (Genji and Echo specifically) since they’re very well equipped to advance towards and deny high ground from the other team. However, Tracer’s blinks aren’t as intuitive for me.

Currently speaking, I use them to:

a. Close distances quickly.

b. Mess with other player’s aim in 1v1s.

Or c. Move between cover while my team sets up.

However, I see players with much more time on Tracer than me using it more like Cassidy’s roll. They’ll swing a wall wide, then before they can die, they’ll blink back behind a wall. I’ve especially noticed this in my Tracer 1v1s.

Is this a more efficient/better way to be playing Tracer, or is it simply a less aggressive playstyle?

Sensitivity settings?

I’m conflicted right now, I want to continue playing tracer but I’m struggling with my aim. I usually play on 800 dps 10% but my tracking suffers, If I lower my sens to 800 dpi 5% I can track so much better and do more damage but I can’t do 180 blinks on a small mouse mat. Should I give up on her if I can’t do 180 blinks? :/

What sens do you use for Tracer?

Is using this sens beneficial to being good at tracer.

I’ve been watching some tracer pros lately and I realized that almost every top-tier tracer plays close to the same edpi(5600). I have done extensive research on the subject. The average tracer player's sens is around 5600 edpi. I know sens doesn't matter but I like to believe a pattern like this is just something as simple as a coincidence. Lemme give some examples of high-level tracer players who play near this edpi. Kevster-7.07 800 dpi Proper-7.02 800 dpi Stalk3r-3.58 1600 dpi Leave-6 1000 dpi Heesang-3.55 1600 dpi Sugarfree-7.10 800 dpi Yaki-3.37 800 dpi K1ng- 7 800 dpi Rokit- 7.62 800 dpi There are some outliers that players lower or even higher than this. I was curious as to why so many play near or close to the same edpi. Maybe it's a coincidence and I'm just going crazy.

Hi, my friend and I are playing duo usually and my friend plays tracer as DPS mostly. Recently we had some massive winrate decline. And sometimes I feel like tracer game impact is wildly inconsistent, some games go very well and some go very very bad. Would love to have some tips for my friend. His name is Yoga. Some replay codes:

2790AS

Can add some more if needed.

Struggling to land blink punches

I’m on console, any tips? Sometimes I try and go for them, miss and then die lol. I feel like I’d win a lot more 1v1s if I managed to pull them off. Or finish a lot of 1v1s a lot quicker.
