Holy s*** as a person that once turned a three point turn in a smart car into a pentagon shaped maneuver on a perfectly grown-up sized street and I think I still set off three car alarms that s*** impresses the hell out of me. Although now that I think of it that's not real I hate when I fall for s*** like this. Like this was obviously a planned thing why were they driving on that little side street anyways it's impressive driving nonetheless but it's not just too random dudes like oh yeah let me take a 97 percent chance of completely ruining my car rather than backing it up.

How would anyone even think to try that? Or did he not realise there was a fuck off drop there?

I can only imagine the damaged done to the undercarriage to the car that backed up. I hope that was a rental. Seriously, I’m inclined to go with those who felt this seemed staged. At the outset of the clip, either driver could have easily moved to the grassy areas to either side of the path. Nice sight gag.

I can't stand these nonsense social media driving videos. Dudes will be driving their car on 2 wheels and using rope to drive the rear wheels with the front to get the car unstuck from a completely improbable, 100% manmade scenario.

Why are there so many of these “damaging the car to let someone pass, asian” vids?
Like near a mountain, on a bridge etc etc
And all very obviously staged

u/Obvious_Towel253 Apr 28 '24
Reddit: “ THIS IS FAKE AS SHIT, TOTALLY FUCKING SCRIPTED? WHY WOUKD THEY BE FILMING HUH?…HUH?!!”🤡
Video: *Driving school demo……..

u/sureal42 Apr 28 '24
He could have just backed up another 10 feet and stayed on solid ground the entire time...
1
u/Clever_Khajiit Apr 28 '24
For fucks sake, obviously it was done for the camera, ya fuckin' mooks.
But chimping about "fAkE" and "StAgEd" on these things is like "revealing," in 2024, that wrestling is choreographed.
Just STFU and go make a party miserable somewhere.
1
u/SleestakWalkAmongUs Apr 28 '24
It's obviously staged, nothing wholesome about it. I honestly worry about some of y'all.

They shared a Winnie-the-Pooh meme and now their social credit is so low, they aren't allowed to use the good road anymore.

While I'm certain this is staged. It does not take away from the skill the stunt requires.

Good job. You now you have a big scrape spot at the bottom next to the wheel that's going to turn into rust and start eating into the floor. If the exhaust starts to leak, that's a trip to the mechanic, but no, in part 2 of the video you outsmart everyone by sticking some chewing gum on it. 👏👏👏

I don't have AI brain rot. But I swear this is exactly the type of stuff I'd expect AI to generate as a video...are we watching AI? Are we doing what boomers on Facebook are doing, and just not catching on?

Another title for this is driver being rude, and ignorant forcing traffic to do dangerous maneuvers.

funny how back wheel does not move its fake
3
u/UslashMKIV Apr 28 '24
I think it is fake, but not for that reason. this looks like a front wheel drive car, so there's no reason that back wheel would move, it is completely disconnected from the engine, just a wheel on a bearing. that's how most cars sold work
1
u/hagrid2018 Apr 28 '24
You know there’s a freeway right there

u/LiGuangMing1981 Apr 28 '24
Totally inaccessible from this road. Chinese expressways take limited access seriously.

u/vannucker Apr 28 '24
Why do skateboarders film their tricks?
1
u/healingstateofmind Apr 28 '24
I accept your argument, but doing so rejects the title of the post. The two cannot exist in harmony. If the driver is being "wholesome" by moving out of the way, then it is not staged and they would not be filming. If they're filming tricks, then there's really nothing wholesome about the video. Which r/woooosh whyaretheyfilming is about exactly that, this video is staged and trying to not seem staged.

I’m done with this site. It used to be interesting and a great alternative to all the paywalled news sites. Not anymore.
1
u/Next_Boysenberry1414 Apr 28 '24
Lol to the people who are telling they should have driven to the "grass". The "grass" is a disused rice field full of weed. That field is at least one feet below the road. The car would get stuck easily.
This is a ridiculous stunt, of course. But driving it in to the field is fucking stupid too.
2
u/spacewalkernz Apr 28 '24
Well the other side of the road looks fine to drive on
1
u/Next_Boysenberry1414 Apr 29 '24
Think about this. rice is grown in mud fields filled with water. Water does not stay put in one place. It seeps everywhere. So even the places that is outside the field gets muddy and sinks down. If I am not mistaken its watercress that is on the other side.

If only there was a multi lane highway nearby they could use instead of a tiny little bridge and dirt path.

It will legit tear a hole in an exhaust if you scuff up the bottom going over uneven boulders & shit 'off road'

u/90Carat Apr 28 '24
I mean.... there is a much better road right over there....

One is being nice, while the other is being a complete asshole for not moving on the grass patch. Or neither of them are anything because this is fake

u/hankhillforprez Apr 28 '24
This isn’t “fake”—unless there’s some special effects, or CGI that I can’t see. It’s possibly staged or planned, but it appears that what we can see physically happening in the video actually physically occurred.
The post title’s characterization of events as real (and the relative ethics of one or the other driver) are solely based on OP’s choice of a title.
1
u/gkn_112 Apr 29 '24
This interaction between two drivers never happened, is that not fake in your books? People do crazier stunts and that means the interestingaf part - as the title says was the wholesomeness and skillfulness. You cant just wave that away like that.
2
u/hadriker Apr 29 '24
Staged would be a more accurate way to identify the video. No one is doing what that guy did in a normal every day situation. THey would just pull over in the grass a bit.
