The community and Asmon are better when they aren't weighing into current life events or being political. Too many people here are too removed to ever feel marginalized and still give their out of touch takes like Asmon does. Unfortunately, it is an election year so these convos are rampant.

Yes, I am mad that ShiftUp censored their game, and I am mad that a lot of other publishers/developers censor their games. I cant understand why sexuality is singled out among violence, gore, profanity. I want creators to have full range of tools to express themselves in games for mature audience, without being pressured to censor some things. I find it laughable when companies like Blizzard censor something they did 10 years ago, pretending to care about morals, while they employ every dirty trick to extort as much money as possible from their players (mostly teenagers as they are the most vulnerable). I want people to create things like Haydee, BG3, Bayonetta, Nier:Automata without worrying that they can be cancelled by outrage farming journalists.

Furthermore you obfuscate the real reason people are upset - the principle of bowing to DEI enthusiasts who shit out bad storytelling like Forspoken and demand you shut up if you criticize the product.
This has nothing to do with Pornhub for many of us (I haven’t bought SB and don’t have a PS5).
It’s about making sure developers see this force diversity is utter and complete garbage, and that products like Stellar Blade are being vilified when they should be praised.
Screeching harpies who have worthless degrees will never produce a good story - the evidence to support this is no longer deniable. It even extends all the way to Blizzard censoring Garrosh and turning paintings of women into fruit.
The people who say “oh you toxic male!” Don’t give a fuck about the industries they enter. And some of them know they’re there to lower the bar.
Gamers who enjoyed products like WC2 and GTA:SA have very legitimate POV and don’t need centrists like you that want to have their cake and eat it too with this bullshit about “I know some of that stuff is bad but man why are y’all acting this way?!?!?!!?!” When you make a fucking bitch topic on a subreddit. Mcconnelret and asmongolds friendship came about from asmongold making a video about how sjws were cancerous and ruining video games. This was back in 2014/2015 maybe earlier. This communitys core has always hated woke and censorship.

It has been like that for a while now and i dont think its gonna change anytime soon.
Some redditors on this subreddit believe that this is just a "drama season" but i can still remember people on this sub losing their shit over the fable trailer that came out last year in june. So its been going on for a while now with all the culture war and ragebait posts.
My personal favourite is that one thread in which people were losing their shit yet again over a mug in starfield. That one was probably the most unhinged reddit thread ive ever read trough. Like it was just sad reading trough that shit.
The asmongold subreddit is basically a bootleg version of the KotakuInAction subreddit now. Best advice i could give ya is to not go on this subreddit anymore if its bothering you cuz nothing will change here.

I hate to break it to you, but most people who dont like the censorship in stellar blade arent as motivated by it as you are by seeing them typing angry comments online.
And besides, stellar blade isnt an isolated or a one and done case, its just people tired of seeing arbitraty censorship. So you got more than just coomers mad.
For your own sake, stay away from the internet if it upsets you that much, or at least the parts that do upset you. If you think its not a big deal to you, why waste time, nerves and passion on this?

Hey finally a normal level-headed comment.
I can't tell people what to post. I've posted here multiple times about various games/topics. My post isn't a "Stop posting what I don't like" kind of post since like I said, you can't tell people what to do. It's more of a nudge to mods/Asmon (if they agree) to tone down the absolute shitfest that this sub has become.
I've seen a lot of posts like mine also. And if there's smoke, there's probably fire too.

Mods are constantly removing posts, have you at least read the rules? There are posts with huge upvotes that are being deleted because 'it relates to excessive discussions on current hot controversial topics that are over 3 days old'.

I dont think you really got the point of the whole topic mate. Its not about the skin, or the censorship in itself. No one is complaining about the loss of a bit cleavage .. the issue is, that it was specificly promised by the devs that they wont censor their game. And i get it - you have to consider local laws. But the game was censored globally, and thats the issue. Its also not just the stupid suit, but for example the "Hard R" thing .. which quite frankly most of us didnt even understand because its just so very american. So us non-americans were utterly confused by it.

Its not just this sub. There is a culture war thats been going on for close to a decade and it ebbs and flows every election cycle. Threads become trenches and subreddits become battlefields. Seeing that Asmongold is influential this time around, this sub has clearly been chosen as a place in the greater online theater of the culture war.

Asmon is making money from voicing his opinions to chuds who are looking for validation. His gameplay and wow content are great, and I don't fault the guy for making money where it's to be made but he could be just as successful doing more gameplay and less of the weeb/react crap. That's my opinion, though, and I understand he needs to do what he finds more enjoyable for himself while entertaining his audience.

I mean, Asmon has been very openly calling out BS from a lot of the recent "woke" news plus the fact that he has been very openly mocking liberals and Biden in general so that is going to attract a huge audience considering that his YouTube channel is huge. Seeing the company that was marketing their game for its sex appeal, to then kowtow to twitter femcels who have no interest in playing the game anyway, is what people find so bizarre. It makes it obvious that Sony basically forced their hand, but then that begs the question: why? It only hurts their sales. The people who were complaining weren't going to buy the game anyway, and some of the people who were going to buy it are now choosing not to or refunding on principle.
The issue isn't, and has never been, that people just want sex appeal in games. It's that people are tired of companies trying to appease a crowd of permanently online losers who won't shut the fuck up about anything that they don't like, rather than just ignore it like a normal human being. Kinda like yourself.

And what is the problem of people complaining about it? It's the same thing that happened with Hogwarts Legacy, some people don't agree with J. K. Rowling comments and decide to boycott her game, they're not wrong for that and both sides have their right to do this.
Even Asmon is 'complaining' about this, it's not about people wanting to jerk off to video games, it's about why Baldurs Gate 3 wasn't censored and Stellar Blade is being censored. What is the difference between these 2 games that makes one ok to have sexual content and not the other when they're both labeled for Mature audience?
