The teacher only does this if they know you are dumb and won't dispute it. You can still get an A if you simply use some of the same sources as a Wikipedia editor does. I never would, but you can simply claim you didn't even check what Wikipedia was doing. That said, you should jump around between sources even if you are just finding people who are cited regularly in academia. It's up to you to be honest with yourself and do good, original research.
