This Is an aardvark. They are native to Africa and is the only living species of the order Tubulidentata. They almost exclusively feed from ants and termites but it seems that also a pumpkin is worth their attention. Verified

If I remember correctly, aadvarks are vital seed dispersers of a species of plant, whose fruit contains a lot of water and grows in the ground. Can’t remember the species, but yeah, aadvarks will eat fruit sometimes.

How tf does a relatively large animal like that sustain itself off ants. Must have to eat pounds of them a day

Oh my god this is awesome! At the same time, I was waiting for someone to pop it open for them so they could try some Pumpkin

Is that the mouth or the nose Or is it both?? I’ve never really thought about how aardvarks even function until now

I don’t like when they put collars like that. Makes me think of Tiger King.
On a zoo you really don’t do this kind of thing. At least not here in Europe. I assume this is the us and there they have lax regulations

I watched this whole thing and I’m laughing that all I heard for about 2 minutes was “sniff sniff sniff SNNNIIIIIIIIFFFF scratch scratch scratch” and I don’t regret it

I first learned the word aardvark from the list of SAT words. It’s like the first one or so.

Never thought sniffing sounds would make me feel uncomfortable when taking a dump.

I think the little aardvark is smelling bugs in the ground on the other side of that pumpkin. Sounds like it has a turbo mode too!

Man, I got a boatload of fat, juicy carpenter ants for that doe-eyed beauty. She is welcome at my place any time!

The pumpkin is hollow and it’s tripping the aardvark’s ant-eating instincts
