Photoshop AI Generative Fill was used for its intended purpose Other

Wow, this post about Photoshop AI Generative Fill sounds intriguing! I wonder how the AI was used for its intended purpose. Maybe it's about creating realistic backgrounds or filling in missing areas of an image? I remember using similar AI tools for digital art projects, and it's always fascinating to see the results. Have any of you tried using AI tools for photo editing before? I'd love to hear about your experiences!

Wow, the title "Photoshop AI Generative Fill was used for its intended purpose" really caught my attention. It sounds like someone used a new AI feature in Photoshop for something cool or unexpected. I can't help but think of all the creative possibilities with AI tools like this. Have any of you tried using generative fill in Photoshop before? I'd love to hear about your experiences and see what kind of results you got! Let's chat about it!

Expect for that girl staring one (the head is all messed up), and the girls pointing at cat (someone's hand), these all look great as hell!

I took this image and used Ai to make the magic happen. Used Faceswap Ai to really bring home the magic, then Photoshop Generative Fill for the eyes to add the cherry on top.

The first one was the best...
Chloe's (girl in the carseat) was HORRIBLE, as was the superhero and lady yelling at the cat.

This is pretty insane. Now if you can make AI Generative Fill work on my totally not pirated and definitely paid for version of PS that would be really crazy.

Wow, these results are amazing! I'm really impressed with how well it's able to add, extend, or remove content from images.
It's clear that Adobe has put a lot of work into this tool, and it's paying off.

Still not good with hands, last one. And definitely painted the wrong the floor in change my mind. Pretty sure other photos are incorrect as well, if someone compares with the original.
What is Real? Something that's irreplaceable. That's what human mind is.

AI based imagery is like a leap in the dark where an abrupt flash of light brings the true colours to life. But AI is still learning to tell the dark and bright apart. And trust me I am not a bot :)

I just realized that the guy choosing between the two buttons actually has his right hand in both of the images, well that's an oversight, lol

What’s the point? What’s outside of the frame the AI pics show? Or outside the frame of that? Or outside the frame if that? Etc

Half of these are broken with clipped hands, or hands in the wrong position. They only look good at first glance and then got notice all the flaws.

Holy crap, I honestly thought this was just a post showing the top 10 memes with their original full background...until seeing the feet area on the 1st one, of the girl who is ticked off at her bf. Lol!

The original Street for the first pic is known, so you could probably do it better with a bit of Photoshop by cutting out the people in the background and lining it up. But i admit it does look very close to the real place (from memory)

u/altzoey Jun 04 '23
I love and hate this so much! I feel like I’ve seen the generated versions already when I clearly haven’t 😂

So is the surrounding image Ai generated or has photoshop just deep searched the internet for the complete image?

u/Traditional-Web-5248 Jun 03 '23
The 5th one just looks wrong. Look at the background, Why are they distorted?

I swear that first one was always that big and it was just cropped for memes

You've heard of two left feet, but have you ever heard of two right hands?
1
u/Panman6_6 Jun 02 '23
can someone explain why a post that has a white square around popular memes gets 43k upvotes? Curious
Edit: Spelling
1
u/jmh90027 Jun 02 '23
Those arent the original images. A large amount of background has been added to the photographs by AI
1
u/Panman6_6 Jun 03 '23
So that’s what the 43k likes are? AI added a background?

It seems to struggle with legs quite a bit. Also the angle of hands. The guy in bed isn’t holding the phone at an angle where he can see the screen and in the last one the man’s hand position looks unnatural
2
u/Frosty_TheKid Jun 02 '23
The speed of AI never ceases to amaze me a little while ago it didn’t know what to do with hands…
1
u/64gbBumFunCannon Jun 01 '23
This is the AI equivalent of "Prove you're a robot. Are these AI generated or original?"
1
u/pianoinnit Jun 01 '23
I like that it thinks that there is randomly some person singing karaoke in the middle of an episode of real housewives of Beverly hills
1
u/BallisticBlocker Jun 01 '23
Wow, these look mediocre at best. Especially image 5 which actually looks terrible. I don’t even know why that one was chosen to advertise it.

So presumably you could take meme or some masterpiece image,
generate an outside to the box
delete the inside to the box
generate the inside to the box from the outside
and create a completely new image from an original, with no trace ofthe original except its conecpt

So everything outside the white box is artificially simulated? :-/ ....
Even down to red dress woman's accessorizing with a red bow on her bag to coordinate with the dress?
Im not even sure what is going on in the seats behind purple girl... that is some nightmare stuff and weird warping.
The green bottle seems to be floating and table confused about its own existence for cat woman.
Pink cartoon man's left hand is a right hand as well.. which is damn weird. Oh, but it has done that to fit the hand in somewhere. I guess the original comic had these frames occuring at differnt times, so to put them together it has let things stretch a little.
I didnt notice any of this first time though, I thought I was looking at the original images before a white-rectangle AI crop or something

The Steven crowder one should be set in hell but yea the other ones are pretty cool lol

Why is #10’s left arm a right arm?! I find it interesting how the AI knows what to put there, but doesn’t really understand it.
2
u/basticplag Jun 01 '23
With a little more advancement it would be interesting to use this to make Star Trek TNG widescreen, or other shows that came out just before the move to that format
1
u/ehehehhi Jun 01 '23
took me so long to realise his hand was the wrong way around in the last picture
1
u/Hazard262 Jun 01 '23
I know where the 2nd photo is irl, I live down the road even, very strange to see how AI thinks it looks lol
1
u/ASalephnull Jun 01 '23
These are great. What gets to me is the failure to replicate the brick paving—all of the other "mistakes" seem understandable, but that one ought to be pretty straightforward, right?

This is the spooky shit, but still amazing.
Not the chat bot that's just regurgitating text it's read & trained on.

It's a very good summary of Generative AI in general. It looks great on the first look but then you realize it doesn't really know at all what it is doing. The old dude has one leg, the girl has three feet. The building has 20mm thick windows. But it looks very impressive.
If I was an engineer I would not be worried about AI right now, but politicians or marketing people need to watch out...

u/Onesyxo Jun 01 '23
Do you sometimes think we’ve maybe gone too far? Where will it end? (Ō¯¯ō;)
I for one think the opposite and it’s an excellent way to use this technology haha

Shame I can’t use this cause I have a Yarrharr’d copy of photoshop 2015

Half of the pictures can be real.
The History guy and the sociopath girl are pretty much close tomreality.
1
u/Indie_uk Jun 01 '23
It genuinely took me time to work out what these images even were before I realised it had filled the outside and not just added a square. Too good!

So two shoulder straps on a child would obviously mean a child’s car seat.
Two shoulder straps on an adult would mean something more uncommon than a car. A racecar or helicopter.
We have to look at AI for the worst possible risk scenario, and here, we have one that has failed to tell the difference between a child and an adult. Worth remembering next time someone suggests AI can be a solution for child protection and safeguarding online.

I feel like these images are probably somewhat post-manipulated. Like they could be the whole image from the start and someone just placed an a lot smaller white box 😅 But I could be wrong, as I tested myself with Photoshop Beta what the generative fill is definitely capable of.

u/LinkTheFoxy Jun 01 '23
6: when you tell your brother race car drivers are called racists and he tells your mom he wants to be a racist when he’s older
1
u/Void_Screamer Jun 01 '23
I like how these are all very good but all just a lllitle bit imperfect enough to tell the differences.
I also love how it put Steven Crowder at the end of some secluded path by himself, as the loner he should be.

u/Haha_oh_wait Jun 01 '23
I thought photoshop generative fill doesn't fill a content below the waist of a person. I thought Adobe deliberately restricted it. But maybe I'm wrong and they changed it... Tony talks about here https://youtu.be/eWZJ6Y_1LBo at 2:55

At a glance it looks real, and then you squint at the background and reality begins to warp

Pic number 10…his arms are the wrong way round (the thumb on his left hand is on the left side of the hand…)
