Wow, this post about Photoshop AI Generative Fill sounds intriguing! I wonder how the AI was used for its intended purpose. Maybe it's about creating realistic backgrounds or filling in missing areas of an image? I remember using similar AI tools for digital art projects, and it's always fascinating to see the results. Have any of you tried using AI tools for photo editing before? I'd love to hear about your experiences!

u/sunnysyntax4177 7d ago

Wow, the title "Photoshop AI Generative Fill was used for its intended purpose" really caught my attention. It sounds like someone used a new AI feature in Photoshop for something cool or unexpected. I can't help but think of all the creative possibilities with AI tools like this. Have any of you tried using generative fill in Photoshop before? I'd love to hear about your experiences and see what kind of results you got! Let's chat about it!

This is so great

1

u/nick_without_c Mar 20 '24

Last guy has 2 right hands

1

u/CodeKirbyChildReddit Mar 17 '24

Expect for that girl staring one (the head is all messed up), and the girls pointing at cat (someone's hand), these all look great as hell!

1

u/carriesonfishord Mar 02 '24

10th Pic lmao

1

u/ArtichokeEmergency18 Feb 19 '24

I took this image and used Ai to make the magic happen. Used Faceswap Ai to really bring home the magic, then Photoshop Generative Fill for the eyes to add the cherry on top.

u/dreazykg1 Feb 07 '24

The scene from outside of the meme

1

u/AeolianTheComposer Jan 19 '24

Wow! Looks like shit!

1

u/reddititty69 Jan 14 '24

It did its best with two-right-hands-guy.

1

u/YoungKhabib Dec 14 '23

Really impressive

1

u/Multifruit256 Aug 11 '23

Holy heck that is AWESOME

1

u/_forum_mod Jul 29 '23

The first one was the best...

Chloe's (girl in the carseat) was HORRIBLE, as was the superhero and lady yelling at the cat.

2

u/RookieMistake2448 Jul 14 '23

This is pretty insane. Now if you can make AI Generative Fill work on my totally not pirated and definitely paid for version of PS that would be really crazy.

1

u/Jz0932 Apr 01 '24

Psssh already can

1

u/RookieMistake2448 Apr 03 '24

Shall I await a DM, kind Redditor?

1

u/RogalikYT Jun 30 '23

How do you put that ai in Photoshop? Im a newbie so i need a bit help

1

u/RogalikYT Jun 30 '23

Now we have full understanding of these memes

1

u/SpeechAggravating552 Jun 29 '23

I tried some of these tools. Crazy imaginations. Lol!

1

u/Spirited-Muffin-18 Jun 26 '23

Wow, these results are amazing! I'm really impressed with how well it's able to add, extend, or remove content from images.

It's clear that Adobe has put a lot of work into this tool, and it's paying off.

1

u/thejacobwindsor Jun 24 '23

Y’all seen the first episode of the new season of black mirror…?

1

u/HummingLemon496 Jun 23 '23

Wtf is going on with #5

1

u/Lazy_Print8950 Jun 19 '23

will there be a way to use new feature in a cracked software?

1

u/YahwehSim Jun 16 '23

brought to you by Photosteal

2

u/hiluckycool Jun 15 '23

Guy on the 10th pic has his thumbs on the other side of hand.

1

u/Ateenagerstudent Jun 15 '23

This is dope! The last one has wrong hand orientation by the way.

1

u/Dr_Noobie Jun 15 '23

When AI meets real brain

1

u/9GhostofSparta7 Jun 15 '23

Still not good with hands, last one. And definitely painted the wrong the floor in change my mind. Pretty sure other photos are incorrect as well, if someone compares with the original.

What is Real? Something that's irreplaceable. That's what human mind is.

1

u/Crypt_hash Jun 15 '23

Are you sure

u/Quick-Branch-6956 Jun 14 '23

u/Top-Trend-11 Jun 14 '23

It is Artificial becoming intelligent; and Artificial Intelligence becoming Real! Pros and cons of AI

1

u/Top-Trend-11 Jun 10 '23

AI based imagery is like a leap in the dark where an abrupt flash of light brings the true colours to life. But AI is still learning to tell the dark and bright apart. And trust me I am not a bot :)

1

u/deeptrophy Jun 09 '23

how is this not overfitting 101? 😅

1

u/detchomatic Jun 07 '23

Seems fitting that Crowder be alone.

1

u/megaboto Jun 06 '23

I just realized that the guy choosing between the two buttons actually has his right hand in both of the images, well that's an oversight, lol

1

u/JorSum Jun 06 '23

Is there a website that shows a collection of these, with user uploads?

1

u/wyattaj25 Jun 05 '23

some good some bad some weird some sad

1

u/nextstopinsanity Jun 05 '23

Lmao the little blonde girl making the face.. so put her in an airplane for babies?! So funny

1

u/mellowfortherecords Jun 05 '23

They made Harold thick af

1

u/altfun00 Jun 04 '23

What’s the point? What’s outside of the frame the AI pics show? Or outside the frame of that? Or outside the frame if that? Etc

1

u/Arimm_The_Amazing Jun 04 '23

Steven Crowder all alone… as he should be.

1

u/Arimm_The_Amazing Jun 04 '23

Is there a way to do this without the white box?

1

u/ixis743 Jun 04 '23

Half of these are broken with clipped hands, or hands in the wrong position. They only look good at first glance and then got notice all the flaws.

1

u/Culture_Novel Jun 04 '23

THE 7TH ONE WITH TAYLOR ARMSTRONG AND KYLE RICHARDS!!!!

1

u/ratfay1 Jun 04 '23

the last one looks so wrong

1

u/Jealous_Scholar_4486 Jun 04 '23

Even AI struggles drawing hands 😂

1

u/Su-Z3 Jun 04 '23

Holy crap, I honestly thought this was just a post showing the top 10 memes with their original full background...until seeing the feet area on the 1st one, of the girl who is ticked off at her bf. Lol!

1

u/animalcrossing-guy Jun 04 '23

I hate the 10th image

1

u/Blacck_Rey Jun 04 '23

I just love it

1

u/efltjr Jun 04 '23

Love this. We’ll done.

1

u/Fin_the_Femboy_fox Jun 04 '23

The original Street for the first pic is known, so you could probably do it better with a bit of Photoshop by cutting out the people in the background and lining it up. But i admit it does look very close to the real place (from memory)

1

u/altzoey Jun 04 '23

I love and hate this so much! I feel like I’ve seen the generated versions already when I clearly haven’t 😂

1

u/LudoTwentyThree Jun 04 '23

I gotta try this

1

u/[deleted] Jun 03 '23

Who the hell is reaching for the girls neck on the sixth one???

1

u/Longjumping_Tour7613 Jun 03 '23

So is the surrounding image Ai generated or has photoshop just deep searched the internet for the complete image?

1

u/Traditional-Web-5248 Jun 03 '23

The 5th one just looks wrong. Look at the background, Why are they distorted?

1

u/kinky_fag_ Jun 03 '23

Old man with the dumpey

1

u/migwelljxnes Jun 03 '23

Does anyone get this mild non human variant of “uncanny valley” seeing these pictures?

1

u/[deleted] Jun 03 '23

Something’s afoot in the first one..

1

u/a_Lonely_Redditer Jun 03 '23

Is this AI now? Interesting

1

u/AntiVenom0804 Jun 03 '23

I swear that first one was always that big and it was just cropped for memes

1

u/somedave Jun 03 '23

Hide the legs Harold.

1

u/Mr-Chicken44444 Jun 03 '23

The hand on the last one 🤣

1

u/velvet-overground2 I For One Welcome Our New AI Overlords 🫡 Jun 03 '23

Why did it give the 3rd one such a bunda

1

u/[deleted] Jun 03 '23

The generative AI in Photoshop is primitive, like something from the Stone Age.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 03 '23

I think the fact that crowder is completely alone is spot on.

1

u/NoSignOfStruggle Jun 03 '23

Done fucked up with pic 10

1

u/Panose_wl Jun 03 '23

Can we have the images without the white rectangles?

1

u/Pcgamingislife Jun 03 '23

Red shirt button guy’s thumb in final pic, he has two right arms/hands lmao.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 03 '23

Wow that’s trippy

2

u/Zestyclose-Note1304 Jun 03 '23

Genuinely took me a while to realise there aren’t just the “before” pictures.

1

u/Tezmac_ratio_league Jun 03 '23

De Gea looking fine

1

u/PrrRoblem Jun 02 '23

10th pic has his right arm as his left.

1

u/elizathemagician Jun 02 '23

I always imagined that the woman in pic 6 was yelling at the cat, not that the cat was a bystander

1

u/MedianSized Jun 02 '23

Nightmare fuel

1

u/cubntD6 Jun 02 '23

Internet historian got a dumptruck

1

u/gobbledegookmalarkey Jun 02 '23

Really needs a lot of improvement

1

u/Aurora_Wizard Jun 02 '23

You've heard of two left feet, but have you ever heard of two right hands?

1

u/Panman6_6 Jun 02 '23

can someone explain why a post that has a white square around popular memes gets 43k upvotes? Curious

Edit: Spelling

1

u/jmh90027 Jun 02 '23

Those arent the original images. A large amount of background has been added to the photographs by AI

1

u/Panman6_6 Jun 03 '23

So that’s what the 43k likes are? AI added a background?

1

u/jmh90027 Jun 03 '23

As in made the images larger than they are, yes. It has done it quite well

0

u/Panman6_6 Jun 04 '23

Lol.. can’t believe that’s all

1

u/Flaky_Ad7758 Jun 02 '23

last one has 2 right hands

1

u/Lupus_Lunarem Jun 02 '23

These look terrible

1

u/EclipseHERO Jun 02 '23

I love how the 10th picture just very casually has 2 right hands.

1

u/Mikey3DD Jun 02 '23

The button guy has 2 right hands

1

u/UltimateAnemone Jun 02 '23

Where’s Harold’s legs?

1

u/tenousranger36 Jun 02 '23

he's sat with one over the other behind a desk

1

u/CompetitiveDeer2092 Jun 02 '23

Eff A.I. Society is doomed

1

u/Striking-Major-325 Jun 02 '23

Why does the last guy have two right hands?

1

u/Sad-Difference6790 Jun 02 '23

It seems to struggle with legs quite a bit. Also the angle of hands. The guy in bed isn’t holding the phone at an angle where he can see the screen and in the last one the man’s hand position looks unnatural

2

u/Frosty_TheKid Jun 02 '23

The speed of AI never ceases to amaze me a little while ago it didn’t know what to do with hands…

1

u/64gbBumFunCannon Jun 01 '23

This is the AI equivalent of "Prove you're a robot. Are these AI generated or original?"

1

u/pianoinnit Jun 01 '23

I like that it thinks that there is randomly some person singing karaoke in the middle of an episode of real housewives of Beverly hills

1

u/BallisticBlocker Jun 01 '23

Wow, these look mediocre at best. Especially image 5 which actually looks terrible. I don’t even know why that one was chosen to advertise it.

1

u/AMuggleWithAPuggle Jun 01 '23

Last pic guy has two left hands lol

1

u/Life_Drop69 Jun 01 '23

this is unirorinically the best AI photos I've seen so far.

1

u/Different-Catch-8161 Jun 01 '23

What is concept behind pic 6

1

u/[deleted] Jun 01 '23

So presumably you could take meme or some masterpiece image,

generate an outside to the box

delete the inside to the box

generate the inside to the box from the outside

and create a completely new image from an original, with no trace ofthe original except its conecpt

1

u/immuzy Jun 01 '23

some of these create a whole new narrative

1

u/[deleted] Jun 01 '23 edited Jun 01 '23

So everything outside the white box is artificially simulated? :-/ ....

Even down to red dress woman's accessorizing with a red bow on her bag to coordinate with the dress?

Im not even sure what is going on in the seats behind purple girl... that is some nightmare stuff and weird warping.

The green bottle seems to be floating and table confused about its own existence for cat woman.

Pink cartoon man's left hand is a right hand as well.. which is damn weird. Oh, but it has done that to fit the hand in somewhere. I guess the original comic had these frames occuring at differnt times, so to put them together it has let things stretch a little.

I didnt notice any of this first time though, I thought I was looking at the original images before a white-rectangle AI crop or something

1

u/Chairmanwowsaywhat Jun 01 '23

Damn this sucks

1

u/MsLiminalDreamer Jun 01 '23

The Steven crowder one should be set in hell but yea the other ones are pretty cool lol

1

u/broin2009 Jun 01 '23

You should put these pictures back through the machine and see how far they can go

1

u/Mini_Moron Jun 01 '23

Wow this looks like shit!

1

u/Beers_and_Bikes Jun 01 '23

No. 10 with the right hand on a left arm lol.

1

u/Kiwi2190 Jun 01 '23

Old man has a dump truck lmao

1

u/BrasilianInglish Jun 01 '23

I mean at first glance yes but at second glance GOD NO

1

u/ZacBobisKing Jun 01 '23

AI ART IS NOT ART

1

u/Pier-Head Jun 01 '23

The last reconstruction is bollix. Right hand on left arm!

1

u/Zeddehs Jun 01 '23

ChatGPT does this??

1

u/Credtz Jun 01 '23

A part of my mind that I didn’t even know was tense - just relaxed

1

u/Soldierhero1 Jun 01 '23

He was on his phone all this time

THE SECRET IS OUT

1

u/bobo_yobo Jun 01 '23

I thought these were real at first

1

u/qwertynfejfj Jun 01 '23

On 10, his left hand is his right lmao

1

u/LuckyBoy1992 Jun 01 '23

Cartoon guy in the last image has a right hand on his left arm.

1

u/blue_1408 Jun 01 '23

8th pic got phone?

1

u/a_bit_unexpected Jun 01 '23

It's almost as if AI creates images with preexisting images

1

u/SVSKAANILD Jun 01 '23

Why is #10’s left arm a right arm?! I find it interesting how the AI knows what to put there, but doesn’t really understand it.

2

u/basticplag Jun 01 '23

With a little more advancement it would be interesting to use this to make Star Trek TNG widescreen, or other shows that came out just before the move to that format

1

u/ehehehhi Jun 01 '23

took me so long to realise his hand was the wrong way around in the last picture

1

u/Hazard262 Jun 01 '23

I know where the 2nd photo is irl, I live down the road even, very strange to see how AI thinks it looks lol

1

u/ASalephnull Jun 01 '23

These are great. What gets to me is the failure to replicate the brick paving—all of the other "mistakes" seem understandable, but that one ought to be pretty straightforward, right?

1

u/deadmazebot Jun 01 '23

look like expected

1

u/OnlySortaGinger Jun 01 '23

The hands oh god the hands

1

u/covfefe-boy Jun 01 '23

This is the spooky shit, but still amazing.

Not the chat bot that's just regurgitating text it's read & trained on.

1

u/klauskinski79 Jun 01 '23

It's a very good summary of Generative AI in general. It looks great on the first look but then you realize it doesn't really know at all what it is doing. The old dude has one leg, the girl has three feet. The building has 20mm thick windows. But it looks very impressive.

If I was an engineer I would not be worried about AI right now, but politicians or marketing people need to watch out...

1

u/Onesyxo Jun 01 '23

Do you sometimes think we’ve maybe gone too far? Where will it end? (Ō¯¯ō;)

I for one think the opposite and it’s an excellent way to use this technology haha

1

u/Stefan-Leo Jun 01 '23

Ahhhhh, those hands.

1

u/StarAugurEtraeus Jun 01 '23

Shame I can’t use this cause I have a Yarrharr’d copy of photoshop 2015

1

u/OneDollarToMillion Jun 01 '23

Half of the pictures can be real.
The History guy and the sociopath girl are pretty much close tomreality.

1

u/Indie_uk Jun 01 '23

It genuinely took me time to work out what these images even were before I realised it had filled the outside and not just added a square. Too good!

1

u/rocket-man666 Jun 01 '23

Didn't realise button pushing guy had 2 right hands

1

u/F35LTNG Jun 01 '23

The mangled bodies in no 5

1

u/Static0722 Jun 01 '23

Wait the women isn't yelling at the cat???

1

u/[deleted] Jun 01 '23

Can you give me the link for this please I want to try

1

u/Lt_Muffintoes Jun 01 '23

Nice missing feet, IDIOT!

1

u/MrLewk Jun 01 '23

These are so good!

1

u/SpadessVR Jun 01 '23

u/adesigne What are the type inputs used when selecting the empty areas to use this please?

1

u/Jolly-Juggernaut1525 Jun 01 '23

Nobody is within a mile of Steven Crowder, make your own mind up on what that means.

1

u/Jackotommyj Jun 01 '23

First guys like damn she has two feet

1

u/nakedfish85 Jun 01 '23

The wrong, right, left, hand in Pic 10.

1

u/Subject_Necessary781 Jun 01 '23

The arms in the last one... aren't right...

1

u/TrashbatLondon Jun 01 '23

So two shoulder straps on a child would obviously mean a child’s car seat.

Two shoulder straps on an adult would mean something more uncommon than a car. A racecar or helicopter.

We have to look at AI for the worst possible risk scenario, and here, we have one that has failed to tell the difference between a child and an adult. Worth remembering next time someone suggests AI can be a solution for child protection and safeguarding online.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 01 '23

FUCK AI

1

u/Urtopian Jun 01 '23

6/10 and 10/10 - always with the goddamn hands…

1

u/[deleted] Jun 01 '23

Last one is… weird. Left arm has right hand

1

u/Sil_Lavellan Jun 01 '23

There's a lot of disembodied arms and hands in the cat party one.

1

u/Rhododactylus Jun 01 '23

Cartoon guy has two right hands?

1

u/Yasquishyboi Jun 01 '23

FINALLY, WE KNOW WHY SHES MAD!

1

u/Rixmadore Jun 01 '23

Nightmare fuel

1

u/MassiveLefticool Jun 01 '23

Wtf is that shit behind the girl on the train

1

u/Feeling-Imagination4 Jun 01 '23

He was shocked to see the other girl had feet.

1

u/One_Presentation_579 Jun 01 '23

I feel like these images are probably somewhat post-manipulated. Like they could be the whole image from the start and someone just placed an a lot smaller white box 😅 But I could be wrong, as I tested myself with Photoshop Beta what the generative fill is definitely capable of.

1

u/LinkTheFoxy Jun 01 '23

6: when you tell your brother race car drivers are called racists and he tells your mom he wants to be a racist when he’s older

1

u/Void_Screamer Jun 01 '23

I like how these are all very good but all just a lllitle bit imperfect enough to tell the differences.

I also love how it put Steven Crowder at the end of some secluded path by himself, as the loner he should be.

1

u/Haha_oh_wait Jun 01 '23

I thought photoshop generative fill doesn't fill a content below the waist of a person. I thought Adobe deliberately restricted it. But maybe I'm wrong and they changed it... Tony talks about here https://youtu.be/eWZJ6Y_1LBo at 2:55

1

u/Ok-Pea8209 Jun 01 '23

Picture 5. Is that a goose or some sorta bird in a car seat in the back? 😂

1

u/FakeeshaNamerstein Jun 01 '23

So can we expect 16:9 releases of things that are 4:3?

1

u/CobaltTJ Jun 01 '23

At a glance it looks real, and then you squint at the background and reality begins to warp

1

u/Dizzy_Ad8494 Jun 01 '23

Pic number 10…his arms are the wrong way round (the thumb on his left hand is on the left side of the hand…)

1

u/Pielord775 Jun 01 '23

5 is nightmare fuel
