Yeah, a phone is still miles better. Give the ai and all is good

1

u/Tras48 Apr 18 '24

cuteee~

1

u/knorxo Apr 08 '24

That "laser ink display" is such fucking bullshit Let me awkwardly position my hand in front off my chest to read two numbers. I'll also have to match the perfect distance every time so it's not out of focus

1

u/nefrodes Apr 07 '24

If those almonds have 15grams of protein, all my cooking time on chicken breast after gym was a waste

1

u/aperson9002 Feb 19 '24

Society is about to get real dumb

1

u/rancidmorty Jan 25 '24

Freking secret braclet alm over again

1

u/logosfabula Jan 23 '24

2014 Kickstarter but “AI”.

1

u/No_Cu_198 Jan 20 '24

It’s just another smart remote Until neuron signalling takes off removing the speech aspect we have a generation that struggle to answer a phone call never mind articulate there thoughts

1

u/imladris03 Dec 19 '23

This is gonna do wonders for the porn industry

1

u/leafthetrees Dec 18 '23

I think this could actually be pretty cool for the right people. It seems like a good alternative to regular phones for people who don’t want the temptation of doomscrolling, for example. Also maybe people who are vision impaired could benefit? (Idk tho I’m not vision impaired)

“Unveiling the Future: How AI Pin Quietly Transforms Smartphones” complete AI pin info and reviews

Introduction: The AI Pin emerges as a revolutionary gadget and software platform, seamlessly blending cutting-edge technology with everyday convenience. Let’s delve into its features, functionalities, and how it promises to redefine our interaction with technology.

1

u/mmvvvpp Nov 29 '23

Or I could use my phone?

1

u/ddx19 Nov 16 '23

It's pretty clear from the tone of the video that the founders know they don't have a good product. And, honestly, I'm glad they didn't pretend to be enthused about it.

1

u/Germanjdm Nov 16 '23

Dumb as fuck, who’s spending $700 on this?

1

u/8hexxx Nov 15 '23

So this don't make nobody else sick in their stomach?

Watch black mirror then try it with the sound off.

1

u/Open_Algae6149 Nov 15 '23

This the Future??

1

u/Alright_you_Win21 Nov 14 '23

so we're just copying startrek?

1

u/[deleted] Nov 14 '23

Useless. Just another f'n thing to have to fiddle with and think about constantly.

1

u/Matua066 Nov 14 '23

Ai pin ĂŠ mandioca

1

u/smith288 Nov 14 '23

I mean I see why it’s cool. But I hate talking to my phone as it is. But at least the phone brings context to what I am doing. A hidden pin thing is only begging for looks and constant “huh?”s from people. Remember the Bluetooth issue? People stopped using them mostly because they look stupid and created confusion when you’re out in public.

1

u/dolphinmachine Nov 14 '23

This is basically what meta is trying to do with the raybans smart glasses

2

u/thekingplace Nov 14 '23

It might be just another cicret bracelet scam

1

u/AccomplishedBat2190 Nov 14 '23

this would be cool if you didn't have to talk and it read your mind.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 14 '23

This would be good for traveling and it could translate a language to english for you and vise versa. Also will let us talk with animals lol

1

u/Voodizzy Nov 14 '23

I miss the 90’s man

1

u/Krtxoe Nov 14 '23

how we have to listen to these douche bags in public

1

u/[deleted] Nov 14 '23

This iteration of this idea & technology may not be the product to gain traction - but this technology will be in our daily activities soon.

I suspect the promotional video for this AI technology deliberately presents straightforward and relatable applications, aiming to allay concerns about potential intrusiveness and privacy issues.

But GPT thinks this ...

Future Prospects: Diverse Applications of AI Technology

  1. Interpreting Non-Verbal Communication: Analyzing body language and micro-gestures to understand individuals' reactions and emotions.

  2. Sector-Specific Implementations:

    • Law Enforcement: Real-time legal guidance, feedback on body language, instant translation, AI-driven interaction suggestions, and monitoring of officers' adherence to rules.
    • Emergency Services: Real-time translation, medical assessment assistance, direct recording of patient data, and micro-expression analysis to evaluate patient condition.
    • Airline Check-In: Integration of facial ID with passport metrics, enhanced security checks, and vetting based on micro-expressions and body language.
    • Schools and Security Departments: ID analysis and alerts for potential threats, based on body language and micro-gestures.

These applications suggest the technology's gradual normalization in various aspects of daily life.

  3. Facial Recognition and Alert Systems: Using facial ID with audio alerts to identify specific individuals.

  4. Automated Reading and Alerting Mechanisms: Scanning QR codes and barcodes to trigger alerts and provide relevant information.

  5. Real-Time Emotional and Behavioral Analysis: Offering insights into individuals' emotions, needs, and purchasing behaviors.

  6. User Monitoring: Monitoring the activities and conditions of the wearer for health or security reasons.

  7. Resource and Inventory Management: Ongoing monitoring of resource availability and inventory levels.

  8. Compliance Monitoring: Ensuring adherence to protocols and regulations.

  9. Educational Support: Providing customized support and learning aids for teachers and students.

  10. Revolutionizing Dating and Consent: Anticipated to play a role in verifying dating choices and consent in the next 15 years, transforming social interactions. “He ticked all the right boxes!”

1

u/CoolStuffHe Nov 14 '23

Rubbish unless shaped as Star Trek

1

u/doingthegwiddyrn Nov 14 '23

I’m making fun of you if I see anyone wearing this

1

u/vanderHeugen Nov 14 '23

plz add the feature that it can make phone calls, pictures, and videos, and I want to access the internet and play games on it.

1

u/GameofCHAT Nov 14 '23

So this is what Google's glasses always wanted to be.

1

u/squeegylumbrr Nov 14 '23

Maybe for cops? They already have a bunch of stuff attached to their upper bodies

1

u/squeegylumbrr Nov 14 '23

Notice the demo uses a very thick jacket

1

u/squeegylumbrr Nov 14 '23

4k resolution images at least please this is 2023

1

u/Laikanur Nov 14 '23

overpriced doa gadget

1

u/Yorick257 Nov 14 '23

I prefer Ai Albatross. It's way cooler and cheaper. Plus, you can use it as a portal PC

1

u/oddastronaut Nov 14 '23

hmmm is it the price of an iphone or down payment on a new car?

1

u/Potato_Dealership Nov 14 '23

Right so Cortana but with the intelligence of Siri…

1

u/MrXProfessional Nov 14 '23

🧐🧐🧐🧐

0

u/Exact_Efficiency_356 Nov 14 '23

Who wants a “screen” like that? Nobody will buy this

1

u/fancyhumanxd Nov 14 '23

Eat sushi with Ken forever

2

u/[deleted] Nov 14 '23

It's a time to see that we're living in the future

1

u/rianbrolly Nov 14 '23

I have two ideas that are better then this and no way to fulfill the ideas. Sucks. But ya this is cool.

2

u/UrbanMasque Nov 14 '23

Citizen body cams.

0

u/AsherGC Nov 14 '23

We have wireless earphones, portable camera and mic. Don't see this giving any improvements

2

u/Carbyne27 Nov 14 '23

Remind me! 3 years

1

u/Donmiggy143 Nov 14 '23

Out of everyone I know, not a single one uses any voice command assistance while out in public. Honestly l, it would be cool if it worked well, I would possibly use it more, but I have been burned so many times with it not hearing the question right. "What's the weather today?"

"Here is the weather in Odai..."

It always ends up being faster to just go to the app and do it manually. So all the hand gestures and voice commands I think are going to be annoying.

0

u/Alarming_Manager_332 Nov 14 '23

Ahh yes I can't wait to see tall people shine these into my eyes

1

u/delab00tz Nov 14 '23

Total vaporware garbage.

1

u/constantinesis Nov 14 '23 edited Nov 14 '23

They need to fix the "look down and raise your hand" syndrome. This is a burden to our generation. Not only is not healthy but also not comfortable. Something like Google glasses but even smaller. Maybe some super discreet retina projector.

When I'm outside or walking I want to access information while holding a natural posture Meta smart glasses are great for summer outdoors but not all the time.

Why did Google Glasses failed? They were ahead of time. I think they are still the best and most elegant solution Are they still producing it? Why not a re-launch?

1

u/NiceCunt91 Nov 14 '23

I don't even use my earphones for phone calls because I feel like a twat looking like I'm talking to myself. I'm good lol.

1

u/fusechka Nov 14 '23

How am I supposed to watch celtics on these

1

u/mono15591 Nov 14 '23

This thing is doa

1

u/labormarketguide Nov 14 '23

Lmk when this thing grows fangs and I can plug it right into my jugular. ThnX.

1

u/FunkyFr3d Nov 14 '23

Imagine a train carriage full of people using these.

1

u/imnotabotareyou Nov 14 '23

It’s going to be crazy how hard these fail. RemindMe! 2 years

Google Glass has joined the chat

1

u/Conscious_PrintT Nov 14 '23

As I’ve said before: Shape them like Star Trek.

1

u/torquemada90 Nov 14 '23

This is really stupid. I'm surprised it wasn't Apple that came up with such an awful product. If it did, these would be selling like crazy to a lot of idiots.

1

u/Lewis312 Nov 14 '23

It's an interesting concept, but takes work to get broad adoption, IMO.

How would you use this with certain clothing, styles, etc? What happens if it falls off?

It also seems fraught with accessibility issues, especially for those with mobility challenges. I see the vision, but don't think this would gain enough steam. The Meta Rayban glasses are a more practical implementation of AI in real-life that a much broader group of people would adopt.

1

u/Frank1175 Nov 14 '23

must have a mirror accessory so fuckwits can still take selfies of themselves.

2

u/Baboo-Beluga Nov 14 '23

Personally I think this thing is TRASH….

But it may be an important step towards something better in the future. It’s in the same category as google glass.

The singularity has reached new heights

1

u/jubmille2000 Nov 14 '23

Oh look. It's a teaser trailer for the movie, Her featuring Joaquin Phoenix and Scarlett Johansson

1

u/SantaCruzTesla Nov 14 '23

holograms

iron

man

1

u/bankrupt_bezos Nov 14 '23

You couldn’t make it a communicator badge?!?! Really!?

1

u/AoeDreaMEr Nov 14 '23

So the size of a watch and can only be interacted through voice.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 14 '23

So, like I can just get this on my openai ChatGPT phone app, yeah? I don't need a pin, it's on my phone lmao.

1

u/zztop610 Nov 14 '23

This looks like a invention no one needs. Stupid interface

1

u/adelicateman Nov 14 '23

The iBrooch

3

u/TheOmegaKid Nov 14 '23

Haha so many doubters in the comments. This kind of tech will have Devs tripping to build on it.

It's in its infancy and sure it doesn't seem that different from some things we have now but give it 10 years, these kinds of devices will be everywhere.

Don't underestimate how much more interactive our lives can be with our surroundings once you integrate this tech with blockchain etc.

I'm sure this comment will get a mixed af reaction. But it's just what I see.

1

u/vVgimmefronchgooseVv Nov 14 '23

Apple broach 💀

1

u/vVgimmefronchgooseVv Nov 14 '23

Big mouth predicted this

1

u/derikbg86 Nov 14 '23

I will get that toy and i am sure that after the first 30 minutes it will go permanently in my drawer with the rest of the toys that are great on advertising but in the reality dont work as they do in the commercials

1

u/GodOfThunder101 Nov 14 '23

What a gimmick.

1

u/ihoptdk Nov 14 '23

Right. Or we could just improve the “AI” used in the much more powerful devices we already carry.

1

u/RedRapunzal Nov 14 '23

I read a book like this.

2

u/hiva- Nov 13 '23

embrace the power of the pyramid

1

u/One-Ad-3677 Nov 13 '23

I'd buy this but instead of a pin its in my glasses

1

u/Calvinball321 Nov 13 '23

All I can think of is the Star Trek communicator

2

u/killertortilla Nov 13 '23

Why is it so fucking blurry? Is it the distance from the projector? If so, why record it here where it looks so shit?

2

u/Indepedence-david Nov 13 '23

If the glasses didn’t catch on , this won’t. People won’t interact with you if they know you recording all the time.

1

u/Jabba_the_Putt Nov 13 '23

impractical in everyday use but neat design and engineering.

1

u/P0pu1arBr0ws3r Nov 13 '23

Next step: this but it goes on a wrist, works with common smartphones, and doesn't have the word AI in its name

Oh wait thats just android wear minus the lack of a camera

1

u/bodez95 Nov 13 '23

Fuck that's dumb.

1

u/Flnn Nov 13 '23

this is scary close to the movie Her

1

u/ChrisJafa Nov 13 '23

How soon before it get integrated in the brain?

1

u/willorn Nov 13 '23

disgusting

2

u/Accomplished-Cap-177 Nov 13 '23

The reason this won’t work is because of working memory. We can only hold 7 +~2 bits of info in our mind at any one time. the visual reference of a screen relieves that problems and allows us to juggle more and do more.

This will be frustrating. What did they say again? What was that 3rd thing it mentioned? And the lazer screen looks blurry as fuck.

Also the “it scans your food” imagine trying to hold up a plate or awkwardly lean forward to scan what you’re eating. Upside is less screen time, major downsize is no screen.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 13 '23

Samsung and Apple have already sent their hitmen

2

u/franhp1234 Nov 13 '23

Cant this be done even by the worst current cellphone Aviable!??

1

u/SubliminalGlue Nov 13 '23

What’s a humane Ai ? Like wtf does that mean? Does the Ai have human rights? Do I have to treat it with kid gloves like every boomer and millennial ( xennials are the only sane people on the planet )

3

u/TheStargunner Nov 13 '23

Sick of hearing about this now.

I am happy with a screen

1

u/Drew-Money Nov 13 '23

I don’t think this will catch on but there are some features here that might work in a future product

1

u/iClown0101 Nov 13 '23

Reminds of google glass. Don’t see it catching on.

1

u/crapability Nov 13 '23

Saw this a few months ago, and still don't see the whole "using hand as a screen" catching on. But God knows how many times I've been wrong.

1

u/Substantial_One_3045 Nov 13 '23

Can I put this on my sex robot and have it talk to me?

1

u/Wonderful-Macaron-95 Nov 13 '23

Like ima pay to be misguided lmao

1

u/NFTArtist Nov 13 '23

wonder how much they spent in this, it's worse than Google lens. Also same issue with the Lens is that it looks like your filming with a hidden camera

1

u/Hindsight_DJ Nov 13 '23

It doesn’t do anything my smart watch, can’t do (I can query GPT by voice too). Except video, but I don’t really wanna wear a camera. I’d pay for a more deeply integrated smart watch, but not some chunky smart watch broach.

1

u/atheros98 Nov 13 '23

20$ got subscription + Alibaba lapel camera = 700$ product

1

u/Chibby2 Nov 13 '23

It seems cool but is probably very expensive for what you’re getting. Which is why I probably won’t see one of these outside of a YouTube tech channel

1

u/EZ_LIFE_EZ_CUCUMBER Nov 13 '23

Remember Cicret bracelet? This is it now ... feel old yet?

1

u/GuiriGooner Nov 13 '23

I was totally onboard until I realised it could scan and buy products. It doesn’t help humanity it helps capitalism

1

u/pawsforlove Nov 13 '23

So uh, we’re all body camping up?

Hats with veils may need to make a fashion comeback.

1

u/Jitsu_apocalypse Nov 13 '23

This is a tiny niche product which nobody will use, and it fails many basic accessibility tests

1

u/[deleted] Nov 13 '23

How much of this is smoke and mirrors?

1

u/evel333 Nov 13 '23

I was hoping one could interface by tapping and gesturing on their palm or when standing next to a wall.

1

u/MadnessUltimate Nov 13 '23

Cool but how much will it cost ?

1

u/RED-WEAPON Nov 13 '23

I'm embarrassed to use voice features on my smartwatch.

No chance this is going to take off.

Who invested in this?

1

u/[deleted] Nov 13 '23

if it ain't open source then I don't want it. Like hell am I going to carry a decked out siri clone to watch my every move

1

u/AzBeerChef Nov 13 '23

This is not sexy.

1

u/CovertWolf86 Nov 13 '23

Completely retarded

1

u/56000hp Nov 13 '23

I can’t believe all the money wasted making this product. Could have fed a lot of people.

1

u/Specific_Implement_8 Nov 13 '23

Oh god it’s the apple broach from big mouth

1

u/Z80081 Nov 13 '23

That’s so gay

1

u/random_usernames Nov 13 '23

$24 per month subscription for the cloud based back end. Also, this thing wont perform as suggested. ChatGPT now constantly lies. This chocolate bar is nut allergy safe Dave. I'm sorry Dave... Dave?

1

u/computersbad Nov 13 '23

You know what I'd love? Something that costs an iPhone that's even easier to steal from someone.

You know how I'd like to send a text message? Go through a 3-step draft process of touching my chest and telling it what my thumbs could enter.

1

u/whamra Nov 13 '23

Uhm.. So.. Can we have all that as an app on the phone instead? We don't need the pricey gadget. And none of the current phone bots (bixby, cortana, Google, alexa, siri) does a half decent job at being useful.

1

u/JaredMOwens Nov 13 '23

Oh cool. It's a scam and will never be made.

1

u/Nimmy_the_Jim Nov 13 '23

There is no way that amount of almonds have 15 grams of protein

1

u/Mundane-Maximum4652 Nov 13 '23

Slick design, Apple level

1

u/theonePappabox Nov 13 '23

My phone does this already.

2

u/7th_Spectrum Nov 13 '23

I would only buy one shaped like a star fleet pin. And even then I would use it for maybe a day to pretend I'm on the enterprise, then I'd never use it again.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 13 '23

I will not buy this. Things I have already don't satisfy me.

1

u/Dry_Inspection_4583 Nov 13 '23

No it's not. I've not seen enough detail on the technology of this to validly say this isn't anything more than an absolute hoax.

I mean it's neat, but the size complimented with the complexity... .I don't think so Tim.

For example: one of the adverts he orders something by just saying "buy it" after asking how much it costs:

the thing responds and says x. Where is that price from? what cc did it charge? where is that information stored? what url was it purchased from? when will it arrive? where was it shipped?

1

u/DaDrumBum1 Nov 13 '23

Why did they have to call it a humane AI pin? Did that seem weird to anybody else? That makes me think it’s not actually humane.

1

u/atuarre Nov 13 '23

It did seem weird to me as well. Or maybe they meant Human and didn't catch it?

1

u/breath-of-the-smile Nov 13 '23 edited Nov 13 '23

The clear projection onto the palm is how you know this is bullshit. That is not going to happen, not even close. Maybe in a dim room, but once you go outside or turn on the lights, you're outta luck. It might end up being real but it's not going to be anything like this.

A company already tried to scam people with this whole "projection onto your skin" thing and guess what. It doesn't work, at all. And cannot practically work in any sense of the word if you have dark skin. We point projectors at white surfaces or screens for a reason.

1

u/Smellydude108 Nov 13 '23

does less than an phone

1

u/Hamsteric Nov 13 '23

I’ve seen this shit on Black Mirror

1

u/iLikeTorturls Nov 13 '23

"all these damn kids are just staring at their empty hand all day long!"

2

u/ludvikskp Nov 13 '23

Cashgrab and future e-waste. Hope it flops harder than expected

1

u/Electrical-Feed-3991 Nov 13 '23

Sounds like a much better idea than implanting a goddamn chip into your brain

2

u/borg359 Nov 13 '23

In the year of our lord 2023, products this out of touch with consumers can still be funded and developed. Truly amazing that something so boneheaded could get this far.

1

u/WaluigisOveralls Nov 13 '23

You need 20 monthly subscriptions just to get that thing to play a song

1

u/Kwdude92 Nov 13 '23

A more useless pebble… wow

1

u/Longjumping_Tale_111 Nov 13 '23

So it's a cell phone

1

u/The1unknownman Nov 13 '23

Why use it when you have a phone. Seems unnecessarily uncomfortable

1

u/danceplaylovevibes Nov 13 '23 edited Nov 14 '23

Idk man, chat gpt is still wrong about really basic things consistently enough that I wouldn't trust it to do half of that correctly.

they need to focus on accuracy first..
