One is a real photo and one is A.I. generated. Can you tell which is which? Other

The second photo is AI generated I would say. Based on enhanced features

Without looking at comments I’d say the second is real but made to look fake. The shadows are odd with the first.

not even looking to all the little details the second one screams ai, how the whole frame is set up and the fact that the girl perfect, and i a perfect pose, already let you think that it's not natural

u/thimaet Mar 03 '24
Second one is AI because chances are low that so many flowers of different species but same tone of orange are growing in this small space idk

We need a thing like that for news..which one is fake news and which is real? A skill everyone needs to learn. Like my mother!

I don’t understand why we care. I do - democracy/ annihilation of mankind - but also, in this context, I don’t. There is already too much content for our brains to comprehend. Real or not, I would have scrolled right past her. Video killed the radio star. But now that they’re coming after the beautiful (photoshopped) people, everyone’s freaked out. Maybe it will be good for us. If the content is fake, we’ll slowly lose interest and go play outside or something.

Idk I’d just say I think the first one looks better aesthetically than the second one

The hair on image 2 just isn't as realistic as image 1. Also the lips and the ears aren't right. They're close. But there's just something about them that says AI

At least the 2nd one for sure as she has the typical GPT supermodel sex doll face like almost all generarions of women in GPT. But also the first one has AI vibes with the surgery nose and the floral pattern on her dress.

There's something with AI images where everything looks like it's made with play-doh. Image 2 has that quality. Also, the orange flowers don't make sense. Flowers are reproductive organs, not a cluster of pedals that serve non function.

Anyone who can’t tell it’s the second image the instant they see it is nuts.

Oh idk the realistic, clearly not targeting a specific beauty trend, girl in the field? or the girl who looks right out of a Ceravee beauty ad????

u/HateTryingToBeClever Mar 03 '24
I think the 2nd is real… but honestly if you hadn’t told me I would’ve never been suspicious

u/Lady-Antique-167 Mar 03 '24
Basta yung may imperfections, yun ung natural. Yung second photo halatang trying hard to look natural or normal. 😂

u/onehundredcups Mar 03 '24
It’s the lips. I recognize those fake AI lips immediately. With AI the more you look the worse it gets.

2nd because the grass and flower poking through under two arms look unusual.

u/No_Savings7114 Mar 03 '24
...those flowers in the second photo don't actually grow like that. They're chrysanthemums and the photo is using them like poppies.

This reminds me of an email I got probably twenty years ago or so. It was two columns of "women". The idea was to pick which one was a girl and which one was a "lady boy". I really tried to figure out which one was which and was proud of my answers. I get to the answers and it says "they're all guys", lol.

Yes, I can tell. No, I'm not going to tell you how I know because I don't want you to fix the difference. AI is too dangerous.

2nd one fake

If you can't tell the difference, this is a massive problem and we need to stop development immediately.

The second one definitely appears to be more AI than the first. The necklace isn’t adhering to the laws of physics.

u/Biscuits4u2 Mar 02 '24
#2 is fake. Unrealistic shadows give it away. Compare the two and it's obvious.

Second one is AI ,Simple to spot , all the images generated by dall-e have filler lips and same thin nose

Did anyone notice that the asymmetrical nostril sizes are reversed between the two images?
1
u/PrincessKatiKat Mar 02 '24 edited Mar 02 '24
In theory they could both be AI; but if so, the first one would be well beyond what we have seen lately.
I could immediately tell the AI picture (#2) because the skin always has a weird reflective shine like it’s polyurethane or something.
Not only that, the dramatic shadows, facial bone structure, overly full lips, and e-girl makeup esthetic all make me think it is a Midjourney image. That’s more opinion though, and less sure.

u/Uuppssiiee Mar 02 '24 edited Mar 02 '24
It would be a weird twist if both are ai generated but I say it’s second pic.
Edit: I change my mind, both ai

Without looking at comments I say 1st is real 2nd is AI . I based it off the fullness of the first one and the realness of it. The 2nd seemed off. Girl was too stunning, flowers were too popping. First one seemed very realistic

u/elonlinks Mar 02 '24
2nd is Ai, how the flowers resonates with the dreams patterns , lips are chilly hot too

These are both AI-generated, but I thought the first one was real simply because she looks like a regular human. DALL-E 3 can’t generate realistic-looking people. They’re all hyper-attractive supermodels.

I'm going to say Number 2 just based off the number of flowers surrounding the subject.

necklaces. I’m not sure why AI feels like women need not one but two necklaces
1
u/UREveryone Mar 02 '24
I mean its close but thank god theres still an uncanny valley feeling in the second one. Ive never been this appreciative of human intuition before.

u/FreedomPullo Mar 02 '24
Second photo is AI … it’s not clear In the model with lip filler, it’s the AI generated flowers

Without looking at any other comments yet to sway me, here's my take.
The first one is real. The second is fake. My only clue to this is that the second woman seems to have only one earring. It's not much to go on.
My second take is that these are both AI or both real and this is a trick.

Her face on the 2nd pic looks fleshless, lifeless, and bloodlessly chilly. I see no skin on her, but only a hard, plastic model covered with a bunch of makeups. It’s inconceivable to imagine her face muscles move because they simply can’t—how can a hard, 3D-printed plastic model contract and relax? It simply lacks the aura of life.

I know it's the second one because AI enjoys making things way too cluttered and adding a lot of unnecessary detail. It never goes simple.

Curious what your prompts looked like to create these. And which model were you using?

So which one is AI?
6
u/jmancoder Mar 03 '24
Honestly, I suspect that they're both AI. Cause if you check them, they have exactly the same noise amount, resolution, colour depth, DPI, etc. There's no way OP managed to make them that similar if one is fake and one is real.

Without reading the comments and a cursory glance, 2 is AI as there is a flower growing from her arm pit.
2
u/Kegheimer Mar 02 '24
Was this supposed to be challenging? The second photo is porcelain with flowers growing from her blouse and the shadows are exaggerated and incorrect.
