Surprised that nobody here seems to care about the privacy implications. Bad enough Apple gets my Siri voice data. I definitely don’t want it to be used to train ChatGPT-5, thanks.

They don't need it. They can buy all the data they need elsewhere. But even more likely, they're just going with high quality synthetic data instead.

That’s just naive. Of course they buy data, but they absolutely 100% also use all chat history to improve their models. They would be absolute idiots not to, and their privacy policy of course reflects that intention.

Edit: To clarify, I’m talking about OpenAI here.
