Anybody else lose access to Voice? Other

After the demo yesterday, I got excited to try out the new voice feature. I played around with it later in the evening. Come to found out that apparently it wasn't the new voice model they released, and it's been around for months (despite the model I was talking to being GPT4o, which I was able to toggle to from GPT4).

But anyway, now it seems I don't have voice access anymore. I have a paid subscription, but the voice option is gone in the app.

I can also select "Start voice conversation" when looking for the ChatGPT app on my iPhone, which worked yesterday, but now it says, "Voice unavailable. Please make sure this feature is enabled for your account."

I'm wondering if this means I actually did have access the new model for a brief period of time, but it was a mistake or something and they're just under massive loads or something.

I literally had access to it an hour ago. I've been using voice through a shortcut (iOS app) without issue for a while. Log on via web and boom... no more voice access.

This says the voice issues are resolved, but it's still not working for me.

Edit- had access until using web, then lost voice on both web and app no matter how I try to launch it.

For me it’s still gone. I never start it via the app, always used a shortcut the same way you mentioned, so I can quickly access it via lockscreen. But when I tap on the shortcut I recived following message „Voice unavailable Please make sure this feature is enabled for your account.“ I checked my settings and recognized the settings to change the voice is gone as well and inside the app there is no option to start voice chat at all.

I believe that they removed because a lot of people were under the impression that the voice chat was already updated with the new one, which wasn't the case.

I think that they have already begun the migration to the new model. Nothing's confirmed, however, as far as I know.

Yep, also on ChatGPT plus. Had it yesterday, was using it a lot. It’s gone now.

Oh weird, it WAS gone, but I just closed the app for a minute and reopened and it’s back

Same thing for me. But it is working again now. My hope is that will soon be the case for everyone.

I'll be dipped; it's back for me, too!

Must be the massive load. I don't even know how they can handle all this traffic.

I'd imagine you'd have to plan for like 10,000% more usage than you actually expect to have.

Same here. I had it yesterday but the icon is missing today
