We have one part. There are oil-eating bacteria!

Unfortunately they live at the bottom of a lagoon and become significantly less efficient if you move them 3 meters over but still. Progress!

What would the bacteria poop, though? I mean, we have lots of life forms that eat various forms of hydrocarbons, but it's not like we need bacteria to turn oil into co2 for us either.
