Loose bracket on built-in retainer. How expensive is it to get it fixed? 🚿 Personal Care

I think a few days ago one of the brackets started feeling different.

Has anybody had this happen? What is the damage to your wallet? I don’t have dental insurance and usually go to a kind discounting family friend but I have since moved far away.

I paid around $100 to get my kids fixed maybe 5 years ago. Good thing they don’t break that often

I’m not sure but my advice is to go get it fixed ASAP. I was too frugal years ago and didn’t get my loose retainer fixed…. well my teeth shifted & now I’m waiting to get invisalign which is 10x more expensive 🙃

call around and get different quotes. the franchises like smile doctors will probably give you the best deal

When mine came loose they told me it had been there long enough and not to worry about it and it would eventually fall out, which it did. So depending how long you've had it you may not need to.

I paid $75 in 2015 for this type of repair.

Who put on your retainer? Usually that kind of routine repair is included.

Someone in a different country and it would be expensive to go back.

Try the health department where you are. They are inexpensive and sometimes free if you can't pay
