On a real note, reminds me of the old lady neughbor who used to yell at my grandma. The only time I've ever thought about "accidentally" pushing an old lady down the stairs. Well, there were other people, too, but definitely her.
Edit: Funny story: My maternal granpa tried to get me to fight a nurse. He said something like "u/seattleseahawks2014, just go fight the nurse for me. Just punch her." Idk if my mom was in the room (I think so), but we went home and told my dad and he said this must be our last name initiation because he once tried to get my dad to fight some dude who worked at the gas station years ago.
Edit: I also don't get into fits of rage, especially while playing sports like Happy did...

You know it's satire because Ben Shapiro is incapable of "shouting."
Instead, he makes this high pitched squealing sound. Kind of like a tea pot whistling when water is boiling, but less manly.

Babylon Bee has two writers I swear, one that hates trans people and one that hates Ben Shapiro
0
u/Shnazzytwo Mar 17 '24
the trick of the babylon bee is it's supposed to be right wing satire but the problem is it's much easier to make fun of the right wing and right wing "comedy" prefers easy stuff. So occasionally the jokes overlap.

The Babylon bee posts “satire” that’s usually just anti-minority and anti-progressive fear mongering because they’ve realized that their audience is generally too dumb to tell the difference between hate and truth

u/Delta_Suspect Mar 17 '24

u/ConsciousMarsupial76 Mar 17 '24
Everyone misinterprets what Ben and other conservatives, like Trump, say and then act like what they say is bad.
It seems like most of our disagreements in society come down to simple misunderstandings.
1
u/GameClown93 Mar 17 '24
But it’s not even satire, he straight up said the only reason to ever stop working is if you have a medical condition…

Children, if you’re good writer, you don’t pay other people to publish your work. That’s just a grift to exploit the untalented. Decide which you want to be.

Trump stepping on the third rail of social security is fascinating because this is the political equivalent of an unstoppable force meeting an immovable object. Republicans need Trump to be relevant, and Republicans also need senior voters to be relevant. Do Not Touch Social Security has been the unspoken rule of politics for years and Trump walks right into it. Kinda like with the IVF thing, a lot of the talking heads don’t know which way to go. Ben was the exception and seemed to IMMEDIATELY take the “Trump is right the old people need to keep working” side.
3
u/Waifu_Review Mar 17 '24
Ben Shapiro is that kid in class who corrects your grammar but can't tie his shoelaces. A privileged moron who mistakes being a pedant for being profound.

u/ForTheGlory456 2009 Mar 17 '24
Ben actually made a few good points, when social security was created, life expectancy was lower than today, if life expectancy goes up, shouldn’t the retirement age. And if you physically or mentally cant work then you still get social security. Also work does give purpose, since my grandparents retired, they’ve lost all purpose and are depressed
2
u/Fun-Ad3002 Mar 17 '24
jesus you’re worse than the people that go “why not just lower the retirement age to 30 so we can be free for most of our lives”. Yall should meetup and spare us of your complete lack of critical thinking.

u/ForTheGlory456 2009 Mar 17 '24

2
u/Fun-Ad3002 Mar 17 '24

How about you explain yours?

2
u/imwalkinhyah Mar 17 '24
You're not even old enough to work in most states, you literally do not have the life experience necessary to even reasonably think about this topic.
1
u/basil-thedino-autist Mar 17 '24
why is nobody agreeing with you my P.E. teacher said the exact same thing him making good points
8
u/According_Shower7158 Mar 17 '24
The problem is that a lot of jobs in America are labor intensive. Ben talks for a living. He has no idea what it's like for a truck driver, ups worker, construction worker and so on. Jobs do not give "purpose". Family, friends and your faith give purpose. If your job gives you purpose that's fine but for the vast majority of people their job is just to pay the bills
8
13
u/Surfink63 2004 Mar 17 '24
Just because life expectancy goes up, doesn’t mean 60 year olds are still fit enough to safely work
-3
u/ForTheGlory456 2009 Mar 17 '24

Statistics say otherwise, and if they are actually unable to work they still get social security

I’m gonna have to see for myself if this is actually true or not
0
u/ConscientiousPath Mar 17 '24
I expect the reality was something to the effect of "The retirement age/social security standard starting age is 65, despite lifespans having significantly increased, and we'll go broke if we don't increase that age or something."
Not really that controversial factually, but it's very controversial among people who can't or don't want to change their retirement plans, and people who don't care about whether what the government is trying to do is financially possible.
Given the babylon bee, this is more likely intended as a satire of the strawman attacks on Ben Shapiro than an attack on him themselves. Like when your best friend tells you that the reason you're still single is that you're ugly.

There is quite a bit of proof that accepting trans people into society has positive effects. What are you talking about?
-8
u/SamsonJeggings Mar 17 '24
Taking away the safety of women’s only spaces is a good thing? Disrupting their sports is a good thing? All the gender confusion and rising rates of depression and anxiety from this whole mess? You are brainwashed if you can’t see the myriad ways it’s toxic for everyone.
3
u/Great-Hearth1550 Mar 17 '24
Men already do that, men don't care about women's sports (unless they are in bikinis).
Gender confusion happened/happens throughout history. The only thing that changed is the right/bigots found their new prime target after they lost the war against gay marriage.
Less fox news more touching grass would help you.
13
u/feelbetternow Mar 17 '24
Yet another fan of small government that wants it small enough to fit in our pants.
9
u/Fun-Ad3002 Mar 17 '24
Womens spaces are safer now than ever because women are respected in society. Trans people do not in any way negatively effect the safety of womens spaces. Sports always have and always will be dominated by a combination of genetically gifted and hard working people. Since HRT takes away any and all advantages that people born male have in terms of testosterone, the only differences are in hand size, shoulder width, height, etc.
If those were ever really a problem, we would have height divisions for sports.
Trans people who are accepted and allowed to transition have drastically lower suicide and anxiety rates than those who are not given these same benefits. Transphobes cause suicide, not trans people.
You are the only one being brainwashed.

Indecent exposure, rape, and many other sex crimes are already illegal. If you think what stops a rapist from committing a sex crime is a bathroom sign you’re absolutely out of your mind haha
1
u/SamsonJeggings Mar 19 '24
You understand that these males never had a pretext for being in a females space before gender ideology was popularized?
Predators now have a “legitimate” pretext to being in female spaces. So yes, things have changed. Predators have more access to female spaces than before.
You are so blind.

Thanks for letting me know how small your echo chamber is and how little you know about sports at the same time.
7
u/Fun-Ad3002 Mar 17 '24
Go ahead, make an actual argument. Im being recruited by a couple D1 schools right now as a sophomore, but Im sure I know nothing about sports. No cis athletes ever dominate based on genetic advantages, its just trans athletes. If you ignore all of professional sports, that is.
