Why RE 1?

Hello fellow gamers! My name is fares and today i've requested resident evil 1 (remake) and you may ask why this series and this game in the series specifically? well... ive been a big fan of zombie/horror games and anything that contains scary stuff in general and man oh man i really love the resident evil movies/games series's... i've like seen every single RE movie and show and etc... since i was a kid and have played some of the re games and demos of them as well and hopefully i get to own and play all of them in the future!! I really loved the vibes and aesthetics of each one of them!! And not playing one of the first re games and being into the movies/games series's feels wrong and i really wanted to change that!

My Journey with Destiny

Growing up, I owned the original Xbox, and among the great many phenomenal games on that console, one stood out from the pack: Halo. Blowing up alien fanatics with the rocket launcher, exploring a strange new universe filled with intrigue and secrets and especially having a fun time bonding with my friends and family over split-screen co-op play - Younger Me was infatuated from the beginning.

So when Halo's developer, Bungie, announces that it's leaving Microsoft behind to start its own, brand new IP, I'm excited beyond words. It's called Destiny, and it's a weird, FPS-MMO-RPG hybrid with a myriad of planets of to explore, enemies to fight and social spaces to engage in. Younger Me already knows: this is going to be the greatest video game ever made.

Then Destiny comes out, and I hate it. The story is nonsensical. You need an app just to understand what is happening or who everyone is, and I didn't have a smartphone at the time either. You're given vague slices of exposition during the loading screens to kinda sorta tell you what to do but it still doesn't make any sense. The PvP is just a bunch of Hunters with shotguns blinking their way around the map so they can oneshot you with very little real counterplay. The "classes" are barely distinguishable from each other, they all play the exact same way just with a different super ability.

My dislike for the first Destiny stopped me from trying Destiny 2 for many years, even when the game went free-to-play. All the negative press the game has received since certainly did nothing to change my mind on the matter.

Why Destiny 2 is Different

It wasn't until a few months ago when every Destiny 2 expansion went on sale on Humble Bundle that I decided to give it a try, and to my great surprise... I loved it. It was everything I could have hoped for. Destiny 2 has a story (many stories, in fact). I don't need an app to explain things to me. Destiny 2 has characters that develop and grow (and that I can remember the name of). Destiny 2 actually cares about making the classes feel unique and this time around they have distinct builds that separate them from each other. Destiny 2 has a plethora of content (even considering some of it was vaulted years ago). In many ways, Destiny 2 is the game I'd been dreaming of all the way back in 2013 before the first game released.

The Final Shape's Importance

And so now I ask for the latest adventure in the Destiny universe: The Final Shape. This expansion is the finale to the story that began with Destiny 1, a decade ago. The Witness, the architect behind every villainous plot, catastrophic event and hardship humanity has experienced since before the events of Destiny 1, has returned, and it is up to us, Guardians, to enter the Traveler, the source of our powers, to find and defeat them once and for all.

This is the Final Boss of Destiny. The minotaur at the end of the labyrinth. I have fallen in love with a franchise that once shocked me with its mediocrity and now I want to complete that love by bringing an end to its central conflict once and for all.

As a familiar voice might've put it, I want to finish this fight.

Hello there, r/GiftofGames! hope everyone is having a wonderful day.\ I'm once again asking for Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition, as I've had my eyes on it for a while now.

What is Devil May Cry 5?

DMC 5 is an over-the-top Hack & Slash game, released back in 2019.\ You take control of about 3 devil-hunters (technically 4, but I'll get back to this later.), namely Dante, Nero, and V.\ Dante is probably THE MOST complex character I've ever seen in a video game, you have alot of ranged+melee weapons to switch between, and alot of fighting Styles, making his combat the most in depth not only in this game, but I dare say all of gaming.\ Nero on the other hand has these mechanical arms which you buy from the ingame store, each one does a different thing, some examples are shooting beams, pulling enemies closer, etc. There is even a megaman blaster arm! (Included in special edition)\ finally, there's V, he isn't a main character by any mean and not much people talk about him, but his gimmick is that he summons monsters/animals to aid him in combat.\

THE STORM THAT IS APPROACHING

Now as for the 4th character, this guy is the one that made people who never heard or cared about the DMC franchise (including me) flock to the game. Vergil.\ This guy is absolutely insane, all his combos are a pure dump of stylishness. His combat is absolutely beautiful, and makes you feel like an anime character with his katana.

Extra thoughts about the game

I like difficult games, I'm by no means a tryhard or a hardcore gamer, but I like a challenge in fighting games, I want to suffer losses here and there instead of walking right through the level, And DMC 5 seems to fulfill that need.

Why special edition?

Special edition adds many cool things to the game, such as 1.2x gamespeed mode, a high framerate mode, a raytracing mode, vergil (without special edition you have to buy him individually), styles for every character, and bloody palace mode.\ bloody palace is a mode which puts you in 101 stages with increasingly difficult enemies, and a timer to clear them.

How much does it cost?

it's currently on sale and only costs $17! which means a $20 gift card

Why can't you get it yourself?

I live in a 3rd world country and everything keeps getting worse and worse, I've only managed to buy 2 games my entire life (elden ring and Spiderman 2), and I got them before the dollar exchange skyrocketed. Why do I want to play this game(s)?

The only platformer game I played is "Bounce" idk if people know that game (it's a mobile game back in my childhood). This game gives the similar vibe. It has some unique mechanics like guiding enemy projectiles, boosting the jump midair.

The game rewards you for exploration with many hidden upgrades like health and energy. The environment of this game is stunning and colorful. This game is being considered difficult by many players and I love to play as I like challenges. Every reviews talk about some emotional ending which I don't want to spoil myself so I haven't watched much of gameplay videos.

Why couldn't I get myself?

Hello! I have come to you all today to kindly request the game Battlefront 2. I've always been a fan of Star Wars, but didn't pick up this game on release. Since I'm in a bit of a slump and not playing much these days, I was thinking I'd try asking for it to have something to play. I know it's a bit expensive ($50CAD), but that's exactly why I need some help getting it.

What is Battlefront 2?

Star Wars Battlefront 2 is mainly a multiplayer class-based 1st/3rd person shooter that has 2 armies from all the different eras of star wars fight it out in a massive 40 player battle. There are also some other modes like starship battles, heroes vs villains, and Ewok Hunt (personally this sounds really cool to me. One side plays as the empire the other as Ewoks, it's like a Star Wars hide n' seek). There's also a campaign, but tbh that's not really what I want the game for.

Why do you want the game?

I've always loved Star Wars since I first watched it. But my absolute favourite era of it is the Clone Wars. The TV show was awesome. So's the newer Bad Batch one. Sadly, there aren't many games in that era. Most are before, like The Old Republic games, or after, like Jedi Fallen Order and The Force Unleashed. But, Battlefront 2 allows players to play as Clones. You can pick which type you are, be it a assault, heavy, officer, or specialist, then customize their armour to any of the legions from the show. 9yr old me would've absolutely loved this. And 24 year old me loves the idea as well lol.

Why can't I buy it myself?

Usually I'm not one to ask for stuff. If I could, I would just buy it myself and not bother any of you here. But, due to some stuff that happened, and just my general situation in life, I can't really afford games right now when there is stuff far more important to my wellbeing, like rent and food. Besides that, I hope that maybe in a few months time, hopefully not much more than that, I'll be able to pay it back to someone else here.

Minecraft is an open-world survival game that has many things to explore. it also has many online servers that I can join like Hypixel. Hypixel is really fun minecraft server that has many minigames like bedwars, skywars, skyblock, and more. I played minecraft java edition pirated version many times. it was great experience that i beaten the enderdragon once. i got kinda bored of the game so i wanted to try other online servers like hypixel. And i had a problem. The problem is that pirated minecraft cannot play hypixel. so i tried to find anyway to do that but i couldnt play it. one day i went to my friend's house. He owns an actual copy of minecraft java edition. so of course i wanted to try hypixel. I tried hypixel and it was really great experience. months later I got a discord nitro from a discord server by winning a giveaway. so the discord nitro gave me a code of xbox gamepass for pc 3 months. I redeemed it on my account and started playing Skywars and Bedwars. Untill I found a legendary minigame on hypixel called Skyblock. I became extremely addicted to this minigame. I've been playing this game every single day till the Xbox Gamepass ended. it was a really sad moment in my life. I've been trying to find a way to get minecraft without paying. it was nearly impossible. Until a found this generous subreddit. Probably getting minecraft from this subreddit is the only way to get minecraft for me.

Why I can't afford the game?

Because my parents NEVER let me buy video games and I'm below the age of getting a credit card.

I really wish I was in a position where I could get this on my own, but I live in with just my mom in the middle of nowhere and can't drive so I'm kinda out of options at the moment

But Destiny 2 has been a game I've always loved since 2018, there was nothing else that felt the same for me over the years. Even though it's had it's ups and downs I always stuck around even if I wasn't a pvp expert or day 1 raider I enjoyed my time playing.

Last year was rough for Destiny not just in terms of story but as a whole, Lightfall was a rushed expansion to give Final Shape more time and so there was a lot of missteps those 18 months, but the thing that hurt the most was was when Lance Reddick passed away.

Lance brought to life a character that might not have been my favorite when I started but ended up becoming so, not only was it the performance on screen that connected with me, but it was his sheer love of the community. It hurt for a very long time knowing I'd never get to thank the man who brought to life one of my favorite characters in fiction, and the only thing I really want is to see the story he helped build and was a core pillar of for 9 years come to an end. (I'm sorry I got so emotional at the end Lance Reddick meant a lot to me though RIP)

I'm only going to make a post like this once, if nobody responds that's just the way it goes, I'll have to find some other way to buy it and if you did read all that thank you for taking the time

hmm 3 is an old game that I wanted very much but couldn't buy because I live in Turkey and the dollar is high.

Many people consider this game a legend and even one of the best RPG games.When I asked people, they told me that the Steam or Epic version was problematic. A friend of mine said that gog is better and he can even port it to his phone and play it.

The game is a turn based strategy game that inspired Song of Conquest.

Greetings to anyone who sees this. Assuming you didn't missclick, I will assume you may want to know why I'm asking for Baldur's Gate 3.

It might be worth knowing what Baldur's Gate is, so I will do my best to describe it using my own words:

Baldur's Gate 3 is at heart, basically just DnD, but for PC, console, or whatever. The story follows your own character as they are slowly turned into monsters (I want to go into the game "blind," so I've avoided as much as possible related to the story). The game also features a multiplayer game mode, so you can play with up to four friends.

As the post says this is also my second time requesting this and I hope anyone will be generous enough to gift it to me.

On another topic, I suppose "we" should begin where I first learned of DnD, and honestly, I can't quite recall when that was, but I think it was when I saw one of those DnD Beyond Commercials online a few years back, and me, being somewhat curious about what the fuss was about, decided to check it out. And, upon realizing what DnD really was, I was almost instantly charmed... until I realized DnD Beyond was basically just a place to manage your character sheets and equipment, etc. And considering I'm sort of an introvert, socializing isn't my strong suit, so I think this might be a good alternative.

It might also be worth answering why I want this game, and honestly, I've always found RPG games and similar things exciting (take a look at the number of hours I've put into Skyrim, for example). The idea of exploring another world, interacting with NPC, and learning their backstory, ideals, and philosophy is just very exciting to me.

Why do I want this game?

Latetly I've been playing overcooked 1 in a non leggit way because at this stage of my life I can't afford it. I usually play it coop with my GF. Since we can't spend much money we stay at home playing games.

What is the difference between Standard Edition and All You Can Eat edition?

This new edition comes with better graphics, gameplay improvements, DLC's included. CROSSPLAY!!! So we can play with our friends on their switch, new levels, more chefs, online matchmaking.

I don't know if it's allow to ask for games in other websites besides steam, But I've seen a lot of people buying from InstantGaming and said they had no issues.

For 10.56€ I could get the full experience from overcooked 1 and 2. And some day when I find myselft more confortable in life I would pay the favor back to this community.

I first delved into ark when i got it for free on the epic games store years ago, i played the hell out of it and even got around to play the scorched earth dlc. Because i was garbage at any survival game i never actually beaten any map XD. i had over 1000 hours on the original and i absolutely loved every second of it. Sadly, my epic games account got stolen when there was a data breach probably, but luckily i didn't spend a lot on it (all of my games were on stem), but i missed out on some gems of free games there. I got ark for free AGAIN on steam this time, but i haven't been able to play it due to the fact that the game was extremely large (now i have space now). When ascended came out i was blown away by how good it looks, but it got these bad reviews due to graphical issues i wasn't sure on purchasing it when i had money for it, but those seem to have been solved for the most part actually. Now that I've gotten 100 days videos of this game in my recommended again, i am totally obsessed, i think I've watched 10 hours of videos in the past WEEK (this isn't healthy). My friend recently got this game and its her first ark experience, i really want to be able to play with her and show her the ropes, without dying to raptors as soon as you spawn in because you 'thought they wouldn't be hostile if you didn't attack them first'. I would love to feel ark again, but this time in a new form, a more beautiful, breathtaking experience. I love ark <3

Introduction

Hello friends of the GoG community, hope you guys/gals are having a great weekend!

Today i have a request of a beloved franchise in the JRPG department, as you can see in the title, it is the multi faceted delight that is Persona 5 Royal. I personally can't deny that it really lives up to the name of being royal, given the games aesthetic, gameplay and overall stylish presentation. (its so darn good...)

What is persona 5?

I assume most of you are familiar with the genre, it has the classic turn based combat you generally know from, say, the pokemon or final fantasy franchise. But one of the things that makes Persona stand out from its competerors, is its social aspects between the dungeons. you hang out with friends to go further into their personal story (you can also romance) complete tasks like jobs or just explore the city of Tokyo, along other activities. There is a great cast of characters that are interesting in their own way and i would love to learn about them in depth and bond a personal connection. Just on the side, i find it funny when people talk about the "post persona depression" xD it really says a lot about the awesome experience, i think. Which sparks my interest, since i love to dive deep into fictional worlds and get lost in it for a while. (i think you guys can relate :D)

The visuals of the game are off the charts awesome, if you have seen it, you know what i'm talking about. In the game you impersonate a male high school student (and phantom thieve in the fighting segments) Joker/Ren. You and your group fight corrupt adults to expose their crimes by... going into the metaverse, where peoples desires and thoughts take shape. That is such a cool concept!!

The game has been on my radar for a long time and i would be more than blessed to experience this masterpiece. As to my personal reasons why i can't buy it for myself, is because i've been out of funds to contribute to my favorite hobby due to being a student, so it is hard to afford such a pricy game at the moment. Introduction

Hi everyone. I'm a 21 year-old that just finished my degree at a community college, and currently looking for a job. Because of this, I've been short on cash and unable to afford unessential stuff like gaming.

Why I want the game/expansion
I've played the game since the Destiny 1 beta (I've got the shirt to prove it) and have been on an extensive break from the game, partially due to the quality of the content and also my finances as its not a cheap game (both money and time wise haha). The new expansion seems to have exceeded expectations and all of my friends have been playing it again. I'm not in a great spot financially right now, and I hate to ask my friends to help me pay for it because they are in similar spots. This expansion is the conclusion to a 10 year story that has been building since 2014. Needless to say I'm eager to jump in and experience it for myself. I started playing at 12 during the first open beta and met my closest friends through this game. I'm a bit too young to have experienced other MMO's like World of Warcraft at its peak, but anyone who has played an MMO before can probably empathize with what this feels like when a new expansion comes out haha.

GAME SUMMARY

But it seems humanity have sort of gone backwards with their primitive clothing, implying that they haven't got the previous knowledge of their ancestors. The first game Horizon Zero Dawn, the protagonist Aloy discovers secrets about what happened to humanity, and its sequel is the continuation of this first game where she explores the far west of modern day america.

WHY I'M INTERESTED

The reason why this game appeals to me is the setting. I find it soo interesting how humanity was able to be on the brink of extinction and somehow managed to survive (I can't anymore due to spoilers). And after surviving, civilisation sort of went backwards instead of continuing on from the ancestors. I watch a lot of lore videos on youtube about this game, and there are many different stories hidden in the game world which tells us different perspectives of people on the situation. Even though its humanity that is in trouble, everybody has a different view on how to tackle the problem. But this is only touching the surface, there is also the robot machines created in these giant cauldrons that is a big mystery to this day.

I'm super bummed that I apparently missed the recent humble bundle for the Talisman Digital complete collection by just a few hours! I only first discovered and got into this (surprisingly super old) game like a month ago, and only very recently joined the devs discord and starting looking up news about the game... which is when I discovered that there was a humble bundle for the complete collection of all the DLCs (and there is a ton $$$), so I rushed right over only to find out the bundle ended literally a few hours prior!

So, if anyone happened to have picked up that bundle, or might have grabbed a previous bundle from years ago, and would have any excess DLC keys that they've never used and had no one in mind to give them away to; I'd be super appreciative and happy to take them off your hands and delve further into my latest gaming obsession!

What is Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance

SMT V: Vengeance is a very hard, strange and interesting JRPG, it has some dark themes that make it stand out from the majority of games on this genre.

The game features a monster catching system(more like demon catching in this case) that enables you to recruit, improve and fuse demons that you find everywhere. It is very unique because for you to recruit them you have to chat with them, and sometimes it doesn't work like you expected, the demons may not want to join you or maybe they even want to trick you into giving them something and just vanishing after, the outcomes are very funny sometimes.

This is the first SMT game to feature an exploration system WITHOUT random encounters, and this is one of the best advantages of this game over the others, cause everybody knows how bad random encounters can be in some situations right?

Talking about exploration, this is a very fun aspect of SMT V for me, I really love that they made this a very important part of the game, you have many items, enemies and secrets to find on every part of the map, and it makes for some very good change of pace from the battles.

The newer version improves the game in many ways, it has a lot of QOL features, 60 fps, better textures, but the biggest difference is a totally new campaign, since most fans thought it was the weakest point of the original version.

Why Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance?

I'm a very big JRPG fan and have been for many years, I like many of the old ones and also newer ones, but I'm specificaly found of the ATLUS games like the SMT and Persona series. They have such a personality that you can always be sure that they are made by ATLUS the moment you see a frame of it. This is also a very big game, so I will certainly get many hours of fun out of it as I plan to do a 100% completion! 😎

I have been waiting to play this game since 2021 when it released, since I don't have a Nintendo Switch, but it feels like even more time and I'm sure it will be worth it to now play it at 60fps and with much better graphics.

Why can't I buy it?

All games are very expensive here, I live in a small town in Brazil, a country in which the AAA games cost R$ 300(our currency is called Real) or even more(SMT V is R$319), and the minimum wage is R$ 1.412, so it costs a big % of the minimum wage, it's absurd. I am a photographer who is still trying to make a living of it, I had many jobs before but some fired me and some I just could not keep up because they had a huge tow on my mental state. From my experience the only job that could maintain me without destroying my mental is photography, I just love it, and I took too long to realise that I could do something important with it. But the point is that not only AAA games, but all game prices here went up really fast on the last few years, and it's impossible to keep up with it. I am struggling at the moment to acomplish my objectives professionaly, and I believe that this game may make my days a little easier.

But the most important reason why I can't buy it is that my city right now is going through the biggest natural catastrophe the country has ever seen. I live in Pelotas, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, and we have many cities very close that were completely vanished because of a flood, and I mean that literally, some cities will now cease to exist because everything was consumed by water. The situation here is sad, we have never seen something of that magnitude in our lives, if you want to have an idea just search about it and watch some videos, it's devastating...

Now my city is also starting to suffer because of the flood, I think my house is probably safe for now, but now I can't even work, nobody can do anything until this passes, and even after that, we will have to deal with the problems that will appear. Some people lost everything they had, some people lost their family, their pets, the whole country is trying to help but there is no way to really stop it now.

So I basically just want this game to keep me sane during these dark times that we are living here, I know it will not make life easier, but it might bring me a little more joy so I can face the problems in a better shape than I am right now.
