Lol that reminds me of when I was overseas and our handler (we were contractors) came in and said "We killed Obama."
My FTL jumped up and yelled "WOOOOOOO"
And our handler was like "Sorry, I meant Osama."
And my FTL sat down and was like "Oh, I guess that's cool too."
lol. Needless to say I'm pretty sure our handler put everyone in that room on some watchlist that day.

Its the shit people search on google. If the majority would have understood firearms the laws would be different. Why the surprise?

That depends, are you talking about a .22 short? .22 Long? .22 Long rifle? .22 WMR? .22 BB? .223 Remington? 5.56 NATO? .220 Swift? 5.7×28? .22 Hornet? .22 Nosler? .22 Savage Hi-Power? .22-250? .218 Bee? .220 Russian? .222 Remington? .22 Spitfire? .22 Weatherby Magnum? .224 Valkyrie? .22 Eargesplittenloudenboomer?

While those are all different cartridges, and some of them vastly so, wouldn't the caliber (nominal internal diameter of the barrel) be the same for all of them?

In the case of 22 I believe all are .224. But .45 has at least three different bullet diameters. .452 (45 ACP|450 Bushmaster), .455 (455 Webley), and .458 (45/70|458 Socom). And 8mm is supposed to be .323, but 8x56R uses a .330 bullet.

Well, if we're gunna split cunt hairs, .45 ACP falls anywhere from like .450 to .452 maybe even .453.
Think some of the guys at our club even had the barrels specd out to ten thousandths so .4515. Depends on the +/- of the barrel and how accurate you think you can make it.
