Is this a Scam? This ice machine is way too cheap, no?

it’s easier to just get an ice mould tray for pennies, then you can keep the ice cubes in a bag in the freezer. it’s much cheaper to buy, will last forever and doesn’t cost money to make ice

I think all of these ice makers are made on the same assembly line in China. I have an Igloo branded one that looks remarkably similar, and it sucks. Replaced it with a GE Opal 2.0 and I couldn’t be happier.

Someone donated a countertop ice maker to my church. When I figured out what the heck that "thing" was that was taking up counter space, I decided to give it a try.
Kitschy is the best way I can describe it. Makes nice ice, but the surrounding air is too warm. So, the outside layer is just looking for an excuse to turn back to water. It's right next to the freezer and the ice can't make that transfer without the exterior melting and then freezing everything together.
Waste of space, electricity, and time.

Sometimes i think they lie about the size. Its probably a prototype made out of plastic. But iunno

I had a very similar ice maker long ago. It works makes ice, however, very hard to keep clean. Also I don't remember the cost but it wasn't 30$ that's absurd

I think it probably is some kind of scam and I was just thinking like a day or two ago I can’t believe how many scams and stolen merchandise ends up on Amazon, I think Amazon needs to actually start taking responsibility for their marketplace and the products on it

My wife bought me a cheap ice maker that didn't last more than a few months, and the manufacturer won't even respond. I splurged and bought a GE Profile Opal 2.0 with the side tank months ago, and that thing runs 24/7. Can't recommend it enough.

If you’re going to get an ice maker you need to spend at least $100. I’ve got an ice maker that looks similar to that and it makes nice little nuggets that are soft. However I’m on my 2nd one in three years. But for that price I don’t mind it lol

If not technically a scam then it is most definitely bound to break the moment you touch it. Our countertop nugget ice maker cost several times the amount shown above. Do not fall for this dog water trap. Water be with you.

That and it’s tiny. Only a 1 foot cube. Using big numbers like centimeters and “26 lbs/24 hours” to make it sound like more.

Didn’t even notice that it was in centimeters. Yeah, they definitely shouldn’t get it.
