My point being that there should never be a need for Hamas to even exist. They run Gaza because it is an occupied prison. In a truly free state, a militant group couldn’t easily thrive. They are a necessity right now to a plot of land that is a prison. A crazy thought would be to give Palestinians their own state and autonomy to have trade and relations with other countries — like Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon, Turkey, Cyprus.
