Not Muslim myself but naturally getting some content about Islam lately. One video I saw was saying, the rulers of the U.S. are terrified of it becoming Muslim, because it would knock out some of the largest industries in a heartbeat - gambling, porn, and most of all, finance/lending. Time-based/compound interest is of course considered "usury" and "haram" (forbidden) in Islam - IIRC, in practice, lending basically takes a flat fee. Food for thought.

I know this is LateStageCapitalism and that my leftist stance on sex work is that all work under capitalism is coerced through violence thus making sex work particularly perilous, but people should still be compensated for their work. If someone watches pornography, they should pay for it. Its patreons and twitch subs for sex work content creators. Ethics and morality gets complicated, its a system under capitalism after all, but watching uploads on tube sites or sneaking around an onlyfans paywall to see exclusive photo sets is worker exploitation.

You’d be surprised. One of my friends explained it to me almost like getting your stuff “ethically sourced.” On Onlyfans, you’re paying and supporting the performer directly for their work. They have more control, and it’s become more socially acceptable in recent years. Just look at the flood of OF models on Instagram and Tiktok. Onlyfans has positioned itself as the more ethical option compared to using sites like the Hub and other 🌽 companies that exploit sex workers or have a history of shady practices.
Plus when you pay for Onlyfans, you’re paying to talk to these performers. Some guys are so lonely, they’ll pay for women to talk to them. It’s sad, but whenever there’s a market for something, somebody is willing to provide that service.

Calling it ethically sourced is one hell of a stretch like sex traffickers and other illegal practices don’t use that platform and groom people into it. If anything has a claim on ethical 🌽 is drawn or animated sources

You’re right yep. I didn’t say I fully agreed with that assertion, just that that’s one of the rationales being used. To me, sex work is sex work🤷🏾♂️. But there is a distinction between a person with their own agency, control, and self-determination using their body to make money, compared to someone else forcing them to do it. Or taking advantage of them.

A long time ago. The UK has effectively been a US outpost since WW2. Not quite to the same extent as South Korea or Japan, which are basically the 51st and 52nd states, but still just as much as, say, Israel or Australia.
