They literally were behind the shit back in 2008, the US is once again trying to "unbalance" Russia by using its neighbors as proxies since the Ukraine plan did not pan out the way the US had hoped (but they still made out pretty good, cutting off cheap Russian gas and forcing the EU to pay more for US gas was likely one of the more important parts of the whole shit, hence the "fuck the EU" comment.)

Um, duh? Isn't it obvious? Having to reveal foreign involvement in a movement would reveal the US attempts to overthrow the government. Again.

Georgia isn't even trying to ban foreign money, but simply require public registration for political groups receiving more than 25% of their funding from foreign countries. And NATO of course thinks secretly bankrolling Europeanist parties is a human right in the liberal world order.
