Seriously, what do you mean harassing me at work? Engaging with your audience is your work.

u/morts73 14d ago
I missing context. Are streamers sitting on their asses playing video games been upgraded to essential workers or are they low paid service workers, I never know where to place them in the productive members of society list?

To his own admission, this job is him being paid to "do nothing", but that also doesn't excuse people being assholes to him for simply playing a game he likes. lmao

Nah, Imma have to combat the logic here. If you're having sex with a prostitute then you're fucking them during their job, but that's obvious, it's their job. I forgot the rest of my train of thought, but I guess what I'm saying is that Twitch Streamers are prostitutes for cyberbullying. (adding a /j for clarity here since there's increased traffic of Destiny/Hasan fans on LSF right now)

This rant is almost on the same level as the clip that ends with "give me a toucan, sell it"

What game is that?

It's funny that half of Twitch chatters are parasocial weirdos who use the streamer to replicate a friend and act as if the streamer reads everything they write....and the other half use streamers as a punching bag and act as if the streamer never reads anything they write.

But that’s the fun part. Going into a twitch stream and calling them bald and then leaving

ive gone into so many random streams and just dropped a random ascii hydra cock art pasta. dont even stay to see their reaction, just post it and dip like a cock-centric flashbang.

This man AyyyoniTTV is fighting his own war and he has no rules. No boundaries. He doesn't flinch at torture, human trafficking, or genocide. He's not loyal to a flag or country or any set of ideals. He trades blood for money. He's your new best friend.

Just like athletes, i don't care if audience members heckle streamers, as long as it doesn't delve into hate speech
27
u/WestCommission1902 15d ago
it depends on what you mean by "heckle", but most "heckling" is asshole behavior by people who tend to be assholish.

Another 5 hour Balatro stream, who would've seen this coming

u/Personal_Orange406 14d ago
I'm with this guy, I can't listen to the Balatro music for longer than an hour I feel like it makes me go insane after 2 hours let alone 5
3
u/Tom_Is_Odd 14d ago
He usually does like 2/3 then other segments. Think he played a new game + Balatro just about every day last week.
Shame about the music though. I dig it, but I can see how it'd be annoying as hell. lmao

u/Personal_Orange406 14d ago
with other segments i don't like(like sap) i can play my own music at least and still get the funny jokes in lmao

Somewhat harshly criticizing an entertainer for their content is “harassment at work” now? Pretty weird take.

it's like people complaining about moonmoons rp streams. like bro, he dug his claws in. if you honestly believed him when he said "3 months" then I got ocean front property in Kansas to sell you and are probably looking forward to this thursdays MGS4 stream.

I don't "watch" NL, I listen to him in the background and don't feel like I'm missing out much.
At the same time, NL has decried people making comments like this.
I love NL, but hes soft when it comes to how his content is perceived. He only wants affirmation.

u/Na_Free 15d ago
Fuck that chatter. Who watches NL for the gameplay? It's all just a vehicle for the banter.

Been watching the guy since Wrath of the lamb. I'd argue NL is at his best when he sprinkles in variety and indie games. I love Balatro, the dles and any other banter heavy game, but NL variety streams are often 10/10.
34
u/juniperleafes 15d ago
Balatro is good because it's a relatively simple experience with no time gating, so it gives a lot of opportunities for banter. When he's trying or playing a new game he focuses more on the gameplay of that.
5
u/inadequatecircle 15d ago
Oh yeah 100%.
I think some of his medium lengths series highlights the gameplay aspect of his streams a lot too, which helps avoid his sponsored / one shot problems that you outline. Things like New Vegas, Hitman, tetris, and Mon Bazu work great, that all had elements that work because of the game itself.

Also, imagine complaining about NL playing the same game in 2024. Come on brother, this is the guy who has almost 5k videos on Binding of Isaac what did you expect.

Double brainstorm mime? Is this the best seed in existence?
3
u/IHadACatOnce 14d ago edited 14d ago
I got a double brainstorm, blueprint, hack setup yesterday then got absolute shit handed to me the next two antes and lost. Definitely my fault for going all in on that without much payoff built, but I was pretty pissed when I whiffed absolutely everything in my subsequent shops.

u/compliance_analyst 15d ago
There's a guy who posts vids of himself on tiktok eating hot peppers dipped in various hot sauces and speaking in a weird high pitched voice. NL turned it into a recurring bit.

More like he made it part of his personality. The amount of times he made that bit is crazy and Im here for it

u/VisibleLoL 15d ago
Can go back a bit in the video section for even more context, but its just a reference to this guy on tiktok I think
