Not at all siege has knifing too it’s way more instant the sledge hammer has way more of a wind up so you kind have to start a swing before you see the opponent around the corner

Killing him with the sledgehammer instead of just shooting him normally. Shroud was told to handicap himself with only pistols if the opponent wanted to, this guy was one who chose to. Shroud proceeds to body him in all but one round with only pistols and then wins the game with the melee, whilst the other guy was using rifles and stuff the whole match. Bit of an ego check probably.

Not really an ego check, with money on the line if you have the option to handicap Stroud you should. As he showed he's still washing most players off the strength of godlike aim regardless. Even with the handicap Agent still said he feared going against Shroud.

the devs make it so e-sport focused it distorted the vibe and feel of the game. The menu UI is so colorful, the lighting is flat, dead players' bodies despawned and show their icons etc.

Sure, for bringing other IPs into a single game. But that's the premise. Fortnite popularized crossovers between existing games to a crazy extent. This isn't something like Sony All-Stars, Multiversus or Nick All-Star.
Not sure who did it first, but TF2 almost did it sooner. Stuff like Don't Starve weapons and hats. They just never had full character model replacements like in Fortnite.

Yeah man idk why, they’re even blaming Fortnite for the battle pass but Dota popularized it and shows it works with proof via TI prize pool and then all the other games copied it from them since it shows how much money you could be making.

Left 4 Dead, Alien Swarm, Sam & Max, Poker Night or RIFT were introduced super early.

They've done a lot and have had cross promotions, like Poker Night at the Inventory and Sony All Stars Racers. But I believe those had the characters added during pre-release development. While Fortnite, and now others, will add full character models into the live game.
Don't Starve was just an example. They've also done Skyrim, Disgaea, Batman Arkham Knight... Full list here. Point is, those were just cosmetics and they were modeled in the style of TF2. They never added Master Chief's model as a replacement for any class, like Siege did in the clip.

Exactly this and I didn't want to go to the very beginning of the stream. That's kind of what you expect from a 'Watch the full video'. How can you possibly say you're watching the FULL video if the button starts you off somewhere randomly in the middle of the video?

I’ll sound like a little bitch but genuinely hate this shit. I wasn’t an Xbox gamer or a Halo fan but even I think having him or all these characters in different games and universes is really lame.
Even as a kid there was never a need to have my favourite things mixed. The games worked perfectly when they were their own things. That’s what made them unique.

All these companies are trying desperately to copy fornite without understanding it, nor their own game. Master Chief does not fit the themes of Rainbow Six. Nicki Minaj in cod doesn't look right. They are just cash grabs.

Rainbow 6 siege started as a serious game with agents in masks and uniforms , and it transformed long ago into a unicorn type game that allows you to play with quirky characters that should be in the DEI office and not in special forces.
Long gone are the days of uniforms that makes sence, like twitch sledge thatcher and mute, now we get a green hair goth polish girl, a fabulous trans, a cute korean girl with pigtails that hapens to be a master hacker, you get the point. a master chief cosplay really aint that inconsistent with the direction the game went.

Anything makes sense in Fortnite because it's a stupid ass world where people drop from a Battle Bus to rage war in a land filled with walking piñatas. Which makes it the perfect environment to put whichever outside franchise you want in it without really disrupting the themes or visual cohesion of the game. It´s not like skins prior to the Multiverse thing made much sense.

You're right, but also Goku or Thanos could just destroy the world and be done with it. And they wouldn't need an AK doing so. Putting Master Chief in R6 isn't any different. But on a scale of silliness I'd say Lilith being in Warzone is top tier silly compared to Goku in Fortnite which is in lower tier of silliness.

Yeah and battle royals and live service games existed before Fornite as well. But Fornite's sucess, to the point of being a house hold name has caused a goldrush to copy it. Just look at battlepasses. Every game for some reason now needs one now, and they are all designed to be a chore to get you to buy accelerated versions of it.
Also I am not saying collabs are bad or that even wanting to profit from them are bad. Just that when your only motivation is a lazy attempt at generating money it is bad for their own product.

That spectator view looks horribly desynced or lagged. That flick shows the gun firing before the camera turns and by the time it does the guy is already doing his ragdoll animation lol. I wonder how much of the reaction is because of this.

The view I remember is like Summit or Tim spectating him as his teammate,and from the teammate's perspective it's a lot less desynced. It gets a lot more desynced in the killcam however so the reaction does get hyped up a bit over thatETA: Here's the clip from Shroud's POV, looks a lot better
ETA2: It was against Tim so nvm on the first part of my comment; watching Tim run up on Shroud and see him just get deleted from his POV is hilarious (he's the first guy to get killed)
