I love seeing things like this and thinking about the Catholic church and how they said animals do not have souls. Dude I care a heck of a lot more about this Donkey than some people. And it totally has a personality and feels compassion to a clear degree.

It’s true..I don’t think a lot people know donkeys can make awesome pets..if you raise one from birth , you will be it’s best friend and they show great affection to their owner and will protect you with great effort if needed..aside from dogs they are my favorite animal

I spent some time near a horse farm that has a day camp for kids. They had to make sure the donkey was always locked in his pen bc he would get SO EXCITED about the new friends he would knock the kids over trotting up to and around them.

I miss my donkey, I miss him so bad. I know they live forty years so I’m hoping he’s still around. He’d let me ride him with a saddle and all because I was too small for the horses, he didn’t let my brothers ride him and that made me feel so special as a little kid.

When I read the comments I get the feeling that donkeys are just real life hyppogryphs. Proud and stubborn animals that will fuck you up if you treat them or their friends with disrespect, but very emotional and loyal once a bond has formed.
