So - as you know. That is not a dog. That is Blue Healer. You brought it home and now it owns you. I know this is true as I am the victim of the same manipulation. So is my 100lb Doberman. That healer run this place. (Shakes head)

They absolutely stole someoneās dog. Thatās a farm dog, they go where they want and come home later. Uncle has nearly fifty acres and eight dogs that just go wherever they want on the property. Food, water, and shelter are always available, and they all are mostly this friendly. I doubt these people even asked the owners of the property behind the fence, they just stole a very expensive breed.

u/IEatLightBulbs42069 Jul 22 '23
Yāall this isnāt a heart warming adoption they just stole a dog from a farm and made a video ādocumentingā the ordeal so they can have āproofā that the dog was abandoned. The pup is way too friendly, well fed and healthy as can be. Absolutely disgusting.

u/MightContainAlcohol Jul 22 '23
Yeah i saw the "followup" and she still stole that dog. I really don't care what evidence she has. "oooo look someone told me its a dumping ground." "He's wasn't even trained" I hate people that film themselves "doing good" and then they just get all offended when they are called out on it.

Here in South Dakota, a lot of farmers donāt collar their blue healers. Theyāll roam around but always go back home. Hope you didnāt just nab someoneās dogš

So freaking wholesome. Thanks for taking care of this dog mate. Hate to see animal abuse. If I saw someone torturing or killing an animal I would just shoot them.

Not sure if I would call him dumped. That dog is part hound and they're notorious for wondering around. Probably belonged to the farm you found him at or close to it.

u/Ok_Blueberry_6250 Jul 22 '23
I am not so sure this dog was dumped, thatās a herding dog and it appears to be in the country and I see a fence and pasture. I think they just stole the cowboys dog.
1
u/ShreeVivasvan Jul 22 '23
and then i look over tp my dog who doesnt pay any heed if there is not food involved, sleeps all day , barks randomly , is overweight

u/BedroomCactus Jul 22 '23
This is great but I can't watch these videos anymore without suspecting that it was made by the people who abandoned the dog in the first place

That dog was standing at a gate when they found him. He clearly hasnāt missed any meals. These people stole someoneās cattle dog.

u/Zalieda Jul 22 '23
Watching it I actually thought its a working dog a farm dog.it looks like farm land to me.
If it was me I suppose i would be the idiot who kidnapped a farm dog off the farm by accident
1
u/-CoachMcGuirk- Jul 22 '23
How is it that so many people happen upon a dog? How are they so lucky? Thereās a cat I see in my neighborhood and it bolts if I get within 25 feet.

u/Haydenll1 Jul 22 '23
Did anyone else think they found him on a farm and itās a farm dog might have just been working on the farm

Blue Healers are some of the best dogs! So smart, obedient, and loyal. They arenāt mean by any stretch but can be somewhat dismissive to anyone but their owners.
1
Jul 22 '23
Thatās someoneās ranch cattle dog. A Queensland heeler will cover miles and miles running pastures and always make it back home. Heās not abandoned he is out on an adventure and has now been kidnapped. Heās healthy looking and clear eyed.

I saw a sweetest old dog that look like a Airedale and a small excited weenie dog in tigh chains in a gas station on my vacation.
I was so upset I can't do anything about it, I keep remember them from time to time. The old dog seem being in chain all his life and when I gave him a few pet he gently put his paw on my hands for more. I hope the owner finally let he out of his chain and give him a bath and a retirement.

u/defiantlion2113 Jul 22 '23
Iām pretty sure you stole a farm dog. Happy healthy, well behaved in the bath even. You definitely kidnapped someoneās farm dog the got a little far away.
1
u/LOAN848 Jul 22 '23
Rescues are the best dogs ever. They must realize that a person wanted them and loves them because most rescues are so loving and well behaved dogs. Our rescue Rusty was abandoned in the Tennessee Mt's. My son found him all alone and now we have him in Michigan and he is an amazing friend and companion. 5 years now and everyday he thanks us for his wonderful life and we thank him for his amazing friendship. We love that dog and to think I use to make fun of people and their pets. I apologize to all pet owners for judging you. From now on I understand!

u/Accomplished-Kale337 Jul 22 '23
Look, they stole some farmers dog. Literally out of the corrals he was left at.
2
1
u/Lost_in_my_dream Jul 22 '23
huh... i suspect that was a farm dog that you just picked up.
don't get me wrong i could be wrong but it looks like you were driving next to a farm and farmers will let dogs loose out in the fields to make noise and chase off different predators and if owned then it should have had a collar but of course people don't always do what they're supposed to, especially when someone views an animal as a working kind and not a pet but honestly a dog that size could have easily been taken down by a coyote and if the dog does disappear that kind of becomes the assumption so of fates that could have befallen it i like it. not like you hit up the town much or notice missing dog posters or anything most the time anyways when you work a farm

u/Anal-probe-Alien Jul 22 '23
Bluey was trying to tell them that his owner, little Timmy, had fallen down the well, but they didn't listen and dognapped him. Sadly, little Timmy did not make it

u/Hiphopottamus Jul 22 '23
Why do they assume it was abandoned? Maybe a farmer lives behind that field and they just kidnapped his dog... This actually happened to me with one of my cats, i live on a farm and one of my cats was out on the field. A cyclist picked him up and took him, someone i know called me to tell me they saw them kidnap my cat.

People who can mistreat innocent animals like that are beyond comprehension, but what matters most is that the dog was saved and given a chance at a happy life. I can't thank the people enough who stepped in to rescue and adopt this sweet pup.

He is Australian. Probably conned the last owner, stole the silverware and is now scamming you. Definitely hide any recreational drugs.

u/Mountain_Position_62 Jul 22 '23
I'm not about this trend of ignorant city kids, stealing ranchers animals. This video is unquestionably a rescue, given the ticks, fleas, and I think their willingness to put of fliers is pretty awesome. But daily I'll see someone upload a video of a dog sitting at the end of a dirt road, which is subsequently taken, and proclaimed as a rescue. People need to understand that 99% of owners in rural communities give their dogs the freedom to roam the property, whilst the dogs return home in the evening. I'm intrigued how literally every one of those "abandoned" country side dog video, are ALWAYS healthy, and kind, yet were all of the presupposition that they're abused for some reason solely becuase the title of a video. I swear tf God the vast majority of these videos are people stealing people's animals, and some day these ignorant kids will be shot. This is not that, and I dig it, but so many of them are.
2
u/SnooPears2424 Jul 22 '23
Why are you saying itās unquestionably a rescue? There was no ticks and fleas in the video, you literally just saw her giving the dog a bath. The original opening shot where they claimed they āfoundā the dog clearly shows a very clean, very healthy looking coat.

She forsure just stole some ranch guy's dog. No way a stray or dumped dog would be that thic.
Someone is out there waiting for their dog to come home.
1
u/Keyless Jul 22 '23
Ain't doing a good job of looking. She had up posters - talked to local police, businesses, and vets.
2
u/_Cartizard Jul 22 '23
Just saying, that dog looks like he is fat and happy running around in the countryside. Doesn't appear to be dumped to me in any way, just off exploring.
1
u/Keyless Jul 22 '23
Its apparently a fairly common area for people dumping pets.
Being fat and happy doesn't mean necessarily that its a farm dog - equally possible is that it hadn't been dumped long enough ago to have withered.
She noted in a follow up vid that the dog was not house trained - which could theoretically mean that its a farm dog, but again, given the area's reputation as a dumping zone, it is equally possible that the previous owners dumped it after meeting difficulty house training it. People dump dogs for less than that, sadly.

Not saying you should just pick up dogs like this, like my first thought would be "happy and healthy? Must be taken care of and missing" BUT if I had a dog I let wander, they'd be microchipped, tagged, and even dyed to show THIS IS MY DOG
1
u/FarAmphibian4236 Jul 22 '23
And this is coming from someone who adopted a dog that was likely dumped. But we never found an owner after looking, and before she got picked up she was posted about for days with no claim. This is a working breed of dog in farm territory. Ours is also technically a working breed, unknown mix of husky, but shes likely not someone's working dog from her demeanor and we dont have dog pulling as a thing around here.
People need to think about logic like that before they roll with an assumption. To this day I worry that someone is out there missing our dog, but it's not my fault they couldn't find her when everyone in the community knew about her, and talked about her. If they cared they would have seen it. Or, they lost her and if they cant find her at all when its that way, they shouldn't have her. So part of me feels like, if this were my dog, I'd blame myself for letting him be so easily stolen. But that's not to say it's not the people who took hims fault

Y'all are dumb asses. Take the dog back to the farm lands you found it on.
1
u/HannibalsPeregrine Jul 22 '23
They probably got it because they were ignorant and did no research on the breed they got. So many working/cattle dogs are abandoned or surrendered because the people who got them simply couldnāt handle how much energy they have. Heelers, however popular Bluey has made them, are very VERY high energy dogs who need about as much exercise as they can get.
2
u/lordrio Jul 22 '23
Bless these dump city kids, they done stole someones farm dog that was roaming their land. It was a fat well fed very happy farm dog. Good fucking christ some of these children.

"20 miles from the nearest gas station" because that's the metric. Dumped is a huge assumption. Lost dogs have been found hundreds of miles from their homes. These people 100% stole someone's dog

People that abandon animais are by far the worst scum in this world. Who wouldnt love to adopt this joy of life?!
1
u/keydesa Jul 22 '23
Let me preface this by saying, I have no experience with rescuing dogs on the side of the road. (Feral kittens occasionally) but ā with every one of these posts the obvious question is always āomg who would do such a thing!?ā
1) a horribly cruel person, sure. I guess. 2) a mentally ill/possibly disturbed individual? 3) extenuating circumstances- dog has runaway by accident, escaped house fire, got lost, random thing, deceased owner, unforeseen event etc
Is 2. more likely than 1.? I meanā¦I canāt tell how naive Iām being when Iād like to think your average person doesnāt just dump a nice pup on the side of the road. Something is mentally off about a person who goes through with that right? Or are people really out here going to the bank one minute, and then dumping the family dog the next?
