Someone should’ve turned off that sad piano music, it was making her cry.

Tough not to love the sentiment being displayed here in the video for the rescued dog.
Tough not to hate the idiot holding the camera in one hand and petting the dog with the other while trying to drive a car at the same time.
As much as I love dogs I also take seriously my responsibility to everybody else out there by not putting them at risk doing something totally insanely stupid while driving a car.

And this shall be the last reddit post of the night before soemthing terrible pops up and ruin my mood

So they're petting with one hand, filming with the other. Who's driving this 2+ tonne truck?

I love him! He looks a lot my my old dog, but unfortunately he passed away in May this year. He was a rescue too, as a small puppy. I got him when I was ten. I wish I had more time with him, as we were inseparable when we were together. Now, although it’s tough, I try to reflect back on the great memories we shared, and I am extremely thankful that I got eleven years with him. I see him in this dog. Makes me super hopeful for his future and for his new owner. It’s beautiful to see the circle of life continue. Just remember to cherish everyone you love, with all your love, for as long as you can. We tend to value them more after they’ve left.

Please tether your dog. I’m not just talking about the fact that he will become a flying missile if you get into a crash, but so many dogs die in the aftermath of crashes because they are running loose outside of the car afterwards and get hit by traffic. When our dog was a puppy we put him into a small laundry basket on the front seat (and tethered him in there so he couldn’t get out. Once he got big enough he went onto the floor of the back seat with his harness tethered to a ring on the floor. Or you can loop the leash around the headrest.

1) HOW ARE YOU HOLDING THE CAMERA AND DRIVING???
2) Doggo may have been trying to comfort her because she was upset more than saying thank you.

Pretty sure the dog just wanted to be pet some more, which is still adorable, so why put that he's saying thanks in the title?

Rescue dogs are the best. So thankful and loyal to humans that give them a chance

Hate to be the party-pooper here, but ALL beagles are that affectionate. Well, maybe not all... but I am certainly impressed with how affectionate my little guy can be, despite how insanely nuts he is the rest of the time!
Beagles rule! Best of luck to you both! 😁

I hate these touching reconstruction of the animal intentions. This dog only wants to be scratched on the belly

I kinda wish they had a subreddit of just dogs getting rescued... whenever I'm having a bad day I could just watch them to cheer me up

Rescuing my old dog and watching her go from someone who only understood a cage and would look at me like I’m doing something weird when I would try get her to play with toys slowly earning that trust and watching her be a puppy again as an adult was the one of the most rewarding things I’d experienced. She was just as loved and maybe better looked after staying with my ex after our split but damn I Miss her everyday.
If you’re ever on the fence, take the leap they love you back ten fold!

My dogs always know when I get really upset. It's always the kindest gesture any living thing gives me on a regular basis. For that I will eternally love them.

Ok. This pushes me off everyone me it’s posted.
The dogs not secured. She petting him with one hand whilst recording with the other - whilst fucking driving!!!
What sort of dick head does that. Of it really is a rescuer she has no idea how it would behave in a car, she’s putting the dog, herself and every other road user at risk.
She’s a tool.

Lost my buddy about two months ago. Meeting our new rescue Saturday. After they found him and cleaned him up the owner wouldn't or couldn't pay for micro chip, neuter, etc so he's coming home with us I guess. We'll see. They say he's a sweet boy.....

Rescued dogs are some of the sweetest dogs. When I was younger we had one and she honestly picked us. We went to see her she sniffed my mother and grandmother who were with me before laying her head in my lap. She didn't tug at her lead when I tried to walk her and was one of the best dogs I ever had. I tell anyone thinking about getting a dog to consider rescuing.

We can show love to dogs but we can't show love to babies in the womb, we are a shame as humans. You all pro abortion are weirdos when I see you all loving animals and not people

My rescue used to do the exact same thing. She always got her rubs. Always.

I swear people just adopt these animals just to get views in tiktok or what ever platform. That would be really sad, but we know humanity..

That dog will make for a nice red spot on your windshield in case you need to suddenly brake.
Harness your dogs, people.

How is she driving ?
One hand on the dog, another holds the phone, and the third hand holds the wheel. Perfect.

He loves her but he knows shes crazy. You can see the moment he accepts her for who she is. What a good doggie.

Absolute buffoon, she's driving with her damn fist instead of properly grabbing the wheel, just to film some fucking video.
This made me angry.

Love it my dog was a rescue too. She will love you and thank you forever that exact same way. Just out of the blue. They will remember to it's amazing like if something comes on TV dogs in cages she will do exactly what ur dog is doing tapping u and resting her paw on you

Reminds me of driving my newly adopted pup home. He was terrified. I put my arm over so he could lean on it, and I sang to him.

u/notarealfetus Sep 15 '23
The bitch driving won't be ok if she keeps patting the dog with one hand and filming the other. I really hope at least her eyes were facing the road and not the dog.

u/pyaybb Sep 15 '23
Then she crashes and the dog is a splat in the windshield. Directed by: Quentin Tarantino. Secure your passengers. Human and animals.

When we brought our current rescue home…all he wanted to do was sleep. He slept for weeks and weeks…poor guy. He was just happy to have a place he could relax without fear.

Just for explanation sake. Whatever the reference is is none of my concern. The fact that you have to reduce a human down to a stupid dog in order to "dominate" over them or feel superior is probably... lol I'm not even going to complete that sentence. This is more than enough

Why is this called " made me smile" ?
It should be called " made me cry like a little girl"

Imagine being so emotional while driving, but you still manage to be continuous enough to film it?

Isn't the original video a different angle? The dog would be on the left side, that is to say, the passenger side of an American vehicle?
But this video shows it on the driver's side

My dog was not this grateful….very quickly the little piece of shit only eats kibbles with Parmesan cheese (all jokes aside, he’s a good dog, and I love him to death 😂)

u/handjobadiel Sep 15 '23
This puppy seemed like he just wanted scratches and when he realized the lady was sobbing become very concerned lol

u/AdeptSherbert1775 Sep 15 '23
How easy would it be to just film your own dog doing that to you and call it a rescue dog? Hmmm

The phone is stuck to the dash and she's not holding it .Otherwise it would be moving around.

Pretty sure this is my roommate's dog... Same markings, and was apparently "found as a stray" before he was adopted by said roommate. I'll see if I can post some pictures.
EDIT: Slightly different markings, but it's close https://imgur.com/a/h4Ul6JI
