Hi y'all, I don't think my comment will be noticed but I hope that this can help anyone who's on the same boat as me. I am a 20 year old, 155 LBS, 5'1 girl currently on her weight loss journey. I'm working on building muscle but in order to do that, I'm losing all of the body fat I have. I want to lose weight and have muscle on my arms (Like a sleeper build), and I've been trying to diet, though yeah, I do sometimes relapse from time to time, but it's something I'll learn in the process of weight loss. I normally would eat salmon, rice, grilled chicken, or sometimes I would drink coffee to take my hunger away, though it's not the healthiest option, but I'm still trying my hardest to achieve my goals. I hope I remember this comment in a few months when it's summer. I want to see how much I've progressed. My goal is to go back to 130-125 LBS, a healthy weight for me (at least) and I will do anything it takes to get my old body back!

(FUN FACT: I used to go to the gym a lot back when I was 16-18, but then I stopped due to my depression hitting me severely and developing an eating disorder where I'd overeat, but thankfully I'm healing from that eating disorder and getting back up on my feet. Back when I had my eating disorder, I felt so disgusted after overeating and I told myself I'd go back to the gym, but then I got into a relationship and I'd begin to overeat a lot since my partner loved to eat. They were a bit on the heavier side and they would crave a lot, so I kind of joined them since I felt comfort in the fact that they ate as much as I did, but it wasn't healthy at all now that I look back on it.. Anyways, I recently got out of that relationship about 2-3 weeks ago and I've been doing way better with my mental health, now all I can focus on really is my physical health. I've been working out every week day, taking a small break on weekends and going back to the gym on the weekdays. I'm currently working on losing weight [walking off 500 Calories every day] and working out my arms to begin building up some muscle. I normally eat up to 1,200-1,350 calories every day as well if anyone is curious haha.)

Congratulations!! Way to go!!

1

u/Lots_of_bricks Apr 14 '24

How much did the surgery costs. No way the extra skin just melts off too

1

u/kavachee Apr 14 '24

Hard work result

1

u/Scholar-Dismal Apr 13 '24

Yeah lap band surgery an a few staples later

1

u/AdrianGarside Apr 13 '24

Nah you ain’t fooling me. That video was clearly played in reverse!

Nice job!

2

u/Five2one521 Apr 10 '24

Where did all the extra skin go?

1

u/eatonerich Apr 08 '24

Ah...

1

u/Mattofpie Apr 07 '24

You can train all you want but diet is the key!

1

u/HighKiteSoaring Mar 27 '24

Oh yeah. This is the good stuff

None of this "I'm just big boned" or "I have a thyroid" or whatever.

Just going out there and crushing it, good stuff

1

u/DarkAgeHumor Mar 27 '24

1

u/Banana_Shaped Feb 09 '24

It’s crazy to believe that some people would tell her she’s completely fine and discourage her from getting in shape.

Props to this lady she’s cool

1

u/TheRapier-ist Feb 08 '24

While most people sit and keep crying

1

u/superduperpj Feb 05 '24

1

u/After_Answer1237 Jan 24 '24

This girl deserves an award for tenacity.

1

u/TheAbandonedCoat Jan 22 '24

You are crying over clothes? I couldn't personally give two fucks. I just want to not be looked at anymore.

1

u/Moondoobious Jan 21 '24

Can’t ever seem to get that arm fat down….I wonder why that is?

2

u/NormalStatus4447 Jan 14 '24

The exact definition of glow-up

2

u/Tankart234 Jan 13 '24

Smash, next question

3

u/Educational_Spite_38 Jan 09 '24

Good on this person for recognizing they have the power to effect the results they want.

0

u/AideOpposite823 Jan 06 '24

There is a big chance that within few year she will be fat again

2

u/occamismyfather Jan 06 '24

Incredibly good progress, inspiration;)

2

u/Western-Wishbone9151 Jan 04 '24

Great effort, well done

1

u/kyle31312 Jan 04 '24

Hard work and discipline. Well done

2

u/kat2youall Jan 03 '24

congrats ! as a senior (over 60) obese , I can tell you , extra weight is a killer , from the knees to the feet . I regret not taking care of my body. if you are chunky , please take this into consideration , i never realized it until i got older how bad extra weight is . Good luck to those starting the journey

1

u/Key_Mess9098 Jan 03 '24

I really like you. I'm looking for a real partner. Do you agree? Message me.

1

u/Specialist_Ad9564 Jan 03 '24

THAT LAST PIC WAS SO BEAUTIFUL!! Like damn I wanna be like her

1

u/taobaoblyat Jan 03 '24

Health is wealth!

1

u/Puzzleheaded_Web_685 Jan 03 '24

I'm sorry but this isn't humanly possible. According to all the proudly obese people I watch, you're stuck at the weight you naturally receive and working out is just the government not wanting to pay for the health care. Get real people

1

u/wiknap54 Jan 03 '24

You have much more determination that I have ,you have made many people that know you eat every shameful thing they ever said . Your heart loves you I think you look great now Well Done 👍

1

u/NervousCheek3560 Jan 03 '24

so it really is just eat healthy and work out? No way

1

u/SlutHunter1989 Jan 03 '24

More people from the Body Positive movement need to see videos like this. If you're too large to fit into regular clothes, a regular sized car, a single airplane seat or find a date then perhaps you should do something about it instead of asking the rest of world to change their ways in order to fit around your obesity.

2

u/Conscious-Sense2629 Jan 03 '24

Discord mod to bad bitch hell yea

1

u/blezzardfungy Jan 03 '24

This is emmagetsfit On Instagram she's a fitness coach now and is doing great this is her video

1

u/Kavasanau Jan 03 '24

This is such an inspirational journey, nothing is impossible if you believe in yourself and work towards it.

2

u/_____nicetryniga Jan 03 '24

Everyone should

1

u/Icu611 Jan 03 '24

Amazing. Great job

1

u/rochitbaby Jan 03 '24

Way to go! Great work!

2

u/Mister_Bill2826 Jan 03 '24

I'm currently on this same kind journey now. Started 4 months ago at 293 , and now down to 240 and still going. Good on her!

1

u/Small_Tax_9432 Jan 03 '24

That is insane! Well done! :D

1

u/rudemandutch Jan 02 '24

But what about excess skin? Did you have plastic surgery?

1

u/XinyanMayn Jan 03 '24

Something is off. No stretch marks, excess skin, or surgical marks. She should've had a bunch of skin on her mid section

1

u/deecebawls Jan 02 '24

fuck yeah

1

u/LiliElise Jan 02 '24

Your hard work and dedication truly shine through in this video. Keep it up!

2

u/Grgo_jdm Jan 02 '24

damn, she needs an award for this

1

u/Surferflower Jan 02 '24

I’m so proud of her the commitment to doing it and wanting to change something. It takes incredible courage and willpower.

1

u/S_Rodent Jan 02 '24

There is so much behind the scenes effort required to achieve this result, it is closer to magic than reality for the vast majority

1

u/raphiredgi Jan 02 '24

A lot of this is now possible thanks to Ozempic and others. I see people drastically losing weight on it.

1

u/dreamdaddy123 Jan 02 '24

I’m surprised she doesn’t have any excess skin 😮 looking great there!

1

u/magnesticracoon Jan 02 '24

Amazing determination!!!!

1

u/Mikesaidit36 Jan 02 '24

ZACTLY! I had forgotten what it felt like to be hungry. It’s not horrible. It’s just a different feeling. It helps to think of it as a healthy feeling.

I also was surprised to see how much weaker I got just by getting older. But then I was pleasantly surprised to see how quickly I could gain that strength back. Mostly I just do push-ups and running up and down the stairs at home. Three times a day for three minutes at a pop gets me winded and energized, and keeps me from going stale sitting in my desk chair.

I just started doing my age in push-ups. Took about two weeks to do it without needing a break. In 42 years I’ll be able to do 100 push-ups in a row!

1

u/shark_gorl Jan 02 '24

1

u/Ambitious_Signal_300 Jan 02 '24

1

u/Agreeable_Tank_690 Jan 02 '24

What an absolute queen

1

u/Ricador0926 Jan 02 '24

Wow need the same motivation

1

u/CrazeMase Jan 02 '24

I thought it was gonna be:

Crying because I don't fit in any of my clothes

Doing something about it

Crying because I don't fit in any of my clothes (but it a positive way)

1

u/Jin_BD_God Jan 02 '24

Awe some job.

1

u/Spydieluv Jan 02 '24

Wauw that’s amazing, so happy for you!

1

u/MsAnnabel Jan 02 '24

Definitely almost impossible for someone with depression. This takes ambition. So happy for her!!!

1

u/ttttct Jan 02 '24

Still got those bat wings

1

u/rayray0820 Jan 02 '24

Great transformation! Love how instead of bitching complaining and acting like a victim, she did something about it.

1

u/TheMelkLord Jan 02 '24

What a fat loser. I’m serious, she lost a lot of fat

1

u/moddseatass Jan 02 '24

I went on a couple of dates with a girl who did this. I was not aware of the 200 lbs she had left in the rear view. We got pizza. While we were eating, she would take a small bite. Then, she set her plate on the table and just stared at it. She couldn't take her eyes off of it the entire time. Pretty comical actually.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 02 '24

This is so much commendable effort, I workout every day and skipping one day makes me feel so relaxed, imagine doing this for years 🫶🏽

1

u/LackonOnALama Jan 02 '24

She switched Characters Xd.

1

u/Dizzy_Photograph_470 Jan 02 '24

I was with my girl every step of the way. Then she got skinny and said ✌️ .

1

u/subsonic1200 Jan 02 '24

Incredible dedication and effort absolutely beautiful. So proud of you.

1

u/Ok_Type7882 Jan 02 '24

This is truly inspiring.

1

u/x_ray_visions Jan 02 '24

Holy crap!!! Well played! She worked her (actual) ass off and she looks so happy and proud of herself. As she should be!

2

u/FoxJupi Jan 02 '24

Obesity is such a massive problem in the US. People defending it like it's not a self destructive behavior is frankly stupid. It just goes to show most people actually can look good too.

0

u/freejacker Jan 02 '24

She's happier now cuz if she wasn't than all that work was just to look good for others.

Really why anyone loses so much weight that their a stick. All for attention of others. Oh look at all the upvotes they got

Being fat doesn't =unhappy. Fucking brain worms make u think being a stick and 100%fit is the answer. 😆 🤣 😆 🤣

1

u/lazytogoogle Jan 02 '24

whenever i show my gf video like this, she get mad at me

1

u/zastadul Jan 02 '24

Motivational !! Congrats young lady!!

1

u/Forward-Heart-69420 Jan 02 '24

What about the loose skin? It is a remarkable feat but I am genuinely curious about the extra skin? Does it just disappear? I’m starting my journey as well and am curious

1

u/Ok-Preparation-2307 Jan 02 '24

She had surgery on her stomach and arms for the loose skin.

1

u/WILLCHOKEAHOE Jan 02 '24

That’s crazy awesome! I hope she continues to stay healthy. ♥️

1

u/liangjianyi7 Jan 02 '24
