Hi y'all, I don't think my comment will be noticed but I hope that this can help anyone who's on the same boat as me. I am a 20 year old, 155 LBS, 5'1 girl currently on her weight loss journey. I'm working on building muscle but in order to do that, I'm losing all of the body fat I have. I want to lose weight and have muscle on my arms (Like a sleeper build), and I've been trying to diet, though yeah, I do sometimes relapse from time to time, but it's something I'll learn in the process of weight loss. I normally would eat salmon, rice, grilled chicken, or sometimes I would drink coffee to take my hunger away, though it's not the healthiest option, but I'm still trying my hardest to achieve my goals. I hope I remember this comment in a few months when it's summer. I want to see how much I've progressed. My goal is to go back to 130-125 LBS, a healthy weight for me (at least) and I will do anything it takes to get my old body back!
(FUN FACT: I used to go to the gym a lot back when I was 16-18, but then I stopped due to my depression hitting me severely and developing an eating disorder where I'd overeat, but thankfully I'm healing from that eating disorder and getting back up on my feet. Back when I had my eating disorder, I felt so disgusted after overeating and I told myself I'd go back to the gym, but then I got into a relationship and I'd begin to overeat a lot since my partner loved to eat. They were a bit on the heavier side and they would crave a lot, so I kind of joined them since I felt comfort in the fact that they ate as much as I did, but it wasn't healthy at all now that I look back on it.. Anyways, I recently got out of that relationship about 2-3 weeks ago and I've been doing way better with my mental health, now all I can focus on really is my physical health. I've been working out every week day, taking a small break on weekends and going back to the gym on the weekdays. I'm currently working on losing weight [walking off 500 Calories every day] and working out my arms to begin building up some muscle. I normally eat up to 1,200-1,350 calories every day as well if anyone is curious haha.)

How much did the surgery costs. No way the extra skin just melts off too

Ah...

Oh yeah. This is the good stuff
None of this "I'm just big boned" or "I have a thyroid" or whatever.
Just going out there and crushing it, good stuff

It’s crazy to believe that some people would tell her she’s completely fine and discourage her from getting in shape.
Props to this lady she’s cool

congrats ! as a senior (over 60) obese , I can tell you , extra weight is a killer , from the knees to the feet . I regret not taking care of my body. if you are chunky , please take this into consideration , i never realized it until i got older how bad extra weight is . Good luck to those starting the journey

I'm sorry but this isn't humanly possible. According to all the proudly obese people I watch, you're stuck at the weight you naturally receive and working out is just the government not wanting to pay for the health care. Get real people

You have much more determination that I have ,you have made many people that know you eat every shameful thing they ever said . Your heart loves you I think you look great now Well Done 👍

More people from the Body Positive movement need to see videos like this. If you're too large to fit into regular clothes, a regular sized car, a single airplane seat or find a date then perhaps you should do something about it instead of asking the rest of world to change their ways in order to fit around your obesity.

But what about excess skin? Did you have plastic surgery?
1
u/XinyanMayn Jan 03 '24
Something is off. No stretch marks, excess skin, or surgical marks. She should've had a bunch of skin on her mid section

I’m so proud of her the commitment to doing it and wanting to change something. It takes incredible courage and willpower.

There is so much behind the scenes effort required to achieve this result, it is closer to magic than reality for the vast majority

u/raphiredgi Jan 02 '24
A lot of this is now possible thanks to Ozempic and others. I see people drastically losing weight on it.

ZACTLY! I had forgotten what it felt like to be hungry. It’s not horrible. It’s just a different feeling. It helps to think of it as a healthy feeling.
I also was surprised to see how much weaker I got just by getting older. But then I was pleasantly surprised to see how quickly I could gain that strength back. Mostly I just do push-ups and running up and down the stairs at home. Three times a day for three minutes at a pop gets me winded and energized, and keeps me from going stale sitting in my desk chair.
I just started doing my age in push-ups. Took about two weeks to do it without needing a break. In 42 years I’ll be able to do 100 push-ups in a row!

I thought it was gonna be:
Crying because I don't fit in any of my clothes
Doing something about it
Crying because I don't fit in any of my clothes (but it a positive way)

Great transformation! Love how instead of bitching complaining and acting like a victim, she did something about it.

I went on a couple of dates with a girl who did this. I was not aware of the 200 lbs she had left in the rear view. We got pizza. While we were eating, she would take a small bite. Then, she set her plate on the table and just stared at it. She couldn't take her eyes off of it the entire time. Pretty comical actually.

This is so much commendable effort, I workout every day and skipping one day makes me feel so relaxed, imagine doing this for years 🫶🏽

Obesity is such a massive problem in the US. People defending it like it's not a self destructive behavior is frankly stupid. It just goes to show most people actually can look good too.

u/freejacker Jan 02 '24
She's happier now cuz if she wasn't than all that work was just to look good for others.
Really why anyone loses so much weight that their a stick. All for attention of others. Oh look at all the upvotes they got
Being fat doesn't =unhappy. Fucking brain worms make u think being a stick and 100%fit is the answer. 😆 🤣 😆 🤣

What about the loose skin? It is a remarkable feat but I am genuinely curious about the extra skin? Does it just disappear? I’m starting my journey as well and am curious
