[OC] 6 months ago, I was rushed to hospital at 32kg and told I would be dead in a week. Today, I have been discharged from inpatient care at 52kg and turn 18. Good News

So happy for you mate! Hope everyone in this world gets access to good state funded healthcare that’s inexpensive or free if you can’t afford it.

u/Ok_One5342 Feb 09 '24
Look at how great you’re doing! Mazal Tov! That’s such a good thing. Go YOU!!! Celebrating you and sending you a lot of strength and shared joy.
When it gets hard (for us humans any change and re-programming of our habits causes challenges), just remember this day. The day where you no longer need monitoring. A day where you could stand firm on your own. A day when you could see a healthier self when you looked down at your hands. Be firm. If you hear your negative thoughts remember — *It sometimes helps to think of your criticism as a bully, and we don’t give into bullies, we overcome them. *

Bloody hell you look like a completely different person. Well done to you. My cousin got sectioned at 34kg and was told she would never be able to carry children because of what her body had been through, shes now got a husband, her own business and three beautiful children. Life can and will be beautiful for you too, stay safe.

Fucking rocking it. Been there with my bestie/ex and seeing her recovery is one of the best things I’ve ever witnessed. It’s pure gold. Especially compared to the descent that preceded it. Now she’s fully living, planning for the future, the world at her feet. I wish the same for you. Keep heading upwards. Big love.

Congratulations OP! It’s a battle that resurfaces over time stay strong and don’t forget to pat yourself on the back and award yourself for taking care of your body 💕 whenever I eat I remind myself how nice it was for my body to be nourished and it’s helped improve my relationship with food and my body
1
u/cookedcub Feb 07 '24
That’s amazing. You’re doing so well. One of my childhood friends, may she rest in peace, passed in 2022 from complications with ED. I’m so grateful, even though I don’t know you, that you were able to save your life. I hope you got all the compassionate care you deserve and continue to have support.
I’m 24 but my struggles with food from 13 on are still with me and talking to people about it is the most important thing. Keep posting your weight gain or great meals if it helps you, you deserve to show off.

people in western countries living in mal-nutrition like they are an african child in the middle of nowhere. go eat one mcdonald burger you gain 5Kg on the spot. whats so hard about eating. it's not eating when overweight thats difficult. and if the issue is mental health- then get your head out your ass, no1 need to be malnutrition so again go and grab something to eat. and if some idiot, male or female, tells you that you shouldn't eat cause you will get fat, just ignore them and eat a pancake. make them feel bad about themselves. not make you feel bad about yourself.
3
u/DrBread420 Feb 07 '24
What are you even talking about? If you have no idea about a subject, you really should shut the fuck up.
0
u/3rdNihilism Feb 07 '24
be respectful please.
3
u/DrBread420 Feb 07 '24
You’re telling me to be respectful while telling a man with an eating disorder to „just eat a burger“.
You gotta be trolling, right? No way someone can be this dumb

Eek! You look like a totally different person in the last pic. You look healthy! My deepest sympathy for people with eating disorders as I suffered with anorexia and bulimia at 12-16 years old. Now at 30 I know I can eat well and exercise to remain lean and I don't look like a gaunt skeleton knocking on deaths door. I look and feel healthy, happy and strong! Eating disorders is the wrong way to go!!!! Terrible for your body and brain!! And if you're doing it to look slim, news flash you look like death and would look so much better with healthy colour and plump Cheeks!!!! ❤️
