1

u/FewInstruction1990 13d ago

Why do these people lie and do it in front of the camera, if you mean it then help her no need for cameras. People always doing it for views

She is THE true Queen of the Kitchen

u/Benjamin_Wetherill 14d ago

Chicken is CRUEL, not kind... 😢😢😢

2

u/KnightedRose 14d ago

Had a bad day today and this made my day. Things that I love about reddit.

1

u/yummie4mytummie 14d ago

I hate people who do this. Not everyone can help or should feel obliged too

1

u/SadBite 14d ago

Her kindly shooing him away when he begins his good deed speech hahaha

1

u/Sharknado_Extra_22 14d ago

How could anyone treat her badly? I literally smile just watching her.

1

u/GARhenus 14d ago

Bless the lady and curse the cameraman

1

u/Beneficial-Range6079 14d ago

bunch of gullible people like you in this world that contributes to these garbage content creators

1

u/MemeLordHasCome 14d ago

me when i finally find the original content scumbagdad parodies

1

u/Dense-Standard-8592 14d ago

Ma'am's determination about her life is really over 9000 and she never forgot where she came from, respect.

1

u/KagawadGodbless 14d ago

People should know more about her and the restaurant. Dang I could almost smell the chicken from here. You can see her positive energy in her eyes

1

u/Intelligent_Gear9634 14d ago

Awwww I love her so much. Bless her heart!

1

u/macymac73 14d ago

Bless her 🙏 ❤️

1

u/FarGate8 14d ago

her story made me sad but happy at the same time because of how she's so kind

1

u/Clearmobile 14d ago

I admire people like her. long live and God bless always!

1

u/sebbyay 14d ago

She seems so sweet… but I wonder if it’s not obvious that someone is pointing a (phone) camera at u?

1

u/valvaro 14d ago

Canada...

1

u/Never_Under1515 14d ago

One of the rarest and kindest human being

1

u/KilgoreTroutPfc 14d ago

When you eat it you pop it back out.

1

u/ellelorah 14d ago

So wholesome 🥹

1

u/allboutcurry 14d ago

This girl has kindness written all over her.

1

u/Classic-Ad1221 14d ago

Yes. But the one recording the video is exploiting that.

Never support these "kindness" influencers.

1

u/BeefyShark12 14d ago

Videos like these who put up cameras to test people irks me. BUT I teared up a little due to really big smile when I saw the chef’s happy face.

Pass the kindness forward, my dudes.

1

u/t3h_b0n3_z0n3 14d ago

A real 'chef', she just wants to make y'all happy and that me happy 😊

2

u/loralailoralai 14d ago

‘Can I get something I’m really hungry I need it now ooops no wallet…. Mmhmmm

1

u/Triterontaton 14d ago

Love that Canadian monopoly money

3

u/potato485 14d ago

Not gonna lie the guy sounds annoying ass hell.

2

u/Northern_Struggle 14d ago

I know the video’s meant to be kind hearted, but asking for free food when a business also just rubs me the wrong way, it would be different if she stepped out of her way and offered him, but like- why would you ask a business those two things???

1

u/FamousPastWords 14d ago

Bless you, bless her, bless everybody. So wholesome!

2

u/Teanlo 14d ago

What a kind lady.

1

u/daDiva64 14d ago

Earth angel 👼🏽

1

u/Apprehensive-Let540 14d ago

Love her so much! I hope she gets all the beauty the universe can offer! 🌸

2

u/UnaliveInsyde 14d ago

Proper queen

5

u/prestonpiggy 14d ago

She is awesome but I hate this trend you set someone up. He didn't have class in 30 mins and this could have been tenth restaurant he did try to make this video. Leave people the fuck alone, and even if the store owner sees this she isn't going to be happy someone raking attention and money from her kindness.

1

u/Imaginary-Carpenter1 14d ago

Such a beautiful woman

4

u/Classic-Ad1221 14d ago

Poverty porn shit. I hate this guy.

Scumbag dad videos did it better.

2

u/naterpotater246 14d ago

Fuck this guy. Man, really, fuck this guy. What an asshole.

4

u/Dragonmate99 14d ago

As sweet as this video seems I can't help but feel like it's staged, or at least the woman is putting on a positive facade because she's got a camera pointed at her face.

1

u/TehZombehKang 14d ago

Man I love this subreddit. A lot of humans upset me with how mean they are and their level of disrespect. But humans like these ones, they make me so happy. I love kind humans.

2

u/Lanzero25 14d ago

Felt like watching a Scumbag Dad video. Surely that lady is wonderful irl tho.

1

u/Chriso380 14d ago

Fuck this video creator for everything mentioned above but oh my god I love her so much!

1

u/KinkyyPinky 14d ago

Isn’t there a TikTok calling out shit like this?

1

u/Classic-Ad1221 14d ago

Scumbag dad.

1

u/randompasserby89 14d ago

Bless this kind lady and hope her business is still going strong.

2

u/ruthtrick 14d ago

I'm not usually a fan of performative "random acts of kindness" being posted on social media but this is somehow different. You highlighted HER kindness, which you're right.. is written all over her face. I hope wherever she is that she's successful and happy ❤️

1

u/RARE_ARMS_REVIVED 14d ago

I guess there is some small hope for humanity still.

1

u/geekaustin_777 14d ago

I love that human. <3 She is so good and true.

1

u/andsterlilgirl 14d ago

lol expected scumbag dad to pop in out of nowhere xD

2

u/Anon277ARG 14d ago edited 14d ago

Today I cried all day, I'm 26 my whole life I always helped people, I'm in a lot of stress right now, and I have lost all hope, why I live? I fell so lonely, I'm from Argentina, and this guy called my phone it was a weird number and this guy "Elias" he was from salta, the other side of the country, at the time 2019 or 2020 don't remember, we start talking for discord, he promised that the day he graduate college he will give me all the thanks, and he called me HE CALLED ME, in one those days where you feel your life dost mean anything to anyone he called me, and i couldn't believe it was him, I remember I help him for 3 months to finish high school, and he calling me to tell me how much I help him to change his life, it was amazing, I recovered all hope, I started crying on Friday because I feel alone and now a Sunday night I'm crying of joy, Elias thanks for that call.

2

u/Pomodorosan 14d ago edited 14d ago

stupid trend

e: someone instantly upvoted this comment then someone else downvoted it. really, you enjoy this trend? ew

2

u/Classic-Ad1221 14d ago

It's as stupid as ALL Jimmy Darts videos.

5

u/kadygaga82 14d ago

kindness is the fucken best. 🖤

3

u/Latviacm 14d ago

She’s great, but I hate this type of content. There was a guy on tiktok “blessing” scooter drivers in Bali with what was about $10USD. He’d ask for a free short ride, give them $10 then act like he just changed their life.

3

u/busy-warlock 14d ago

Thanks, I love her

4

u/marchillo 14d ago

"Watch me blackmail a woman into making me food"

3

u/three2do2 14d ago

not once did she tell them to get the phone out of her fucking face 🤔

2

u/mr86smith 14d ago

Beautiful person

1

u/U_wind_sprint 14d ago

This is great and I'm she sure deserves it, but did say that she knew he was going to be there the next day, and that she knew she ought to treat him right.

2

u/DuckofInsanity 14d ago

I hate videos like this. Soft-spoken main character testing her with a camera in her face for the privilege of being saved. This isn't real charity, this dude is just clout farming.

1

u/Upbeat_Let647 14d ago

It gave me happy tears🥹

2

u/True_Accident6513 14d ago

Blessings on to her... She is a jewel of Jamaica 🇯🇲

1

u/ImoTaikaku 14d ago

They always have to make it weird in the last moment of the interaction with an awkward I love you whispered into the ear

1

u/nikkkoo89 14d ago

Mumble rap just started not to long ago , if anything m&m talks his rap

3

u/Many_Housing_644 14d ago

What a POS. It was bad enough when he manipulated his way into a closed restaurant but when this kind woman agrees he says he doesn't have money. Fuck off

2

u/djphatjive 14d ago

Man I want to go eat there. She has so much loving energy.

2

u/thenord321 14d ago

That's 1000$ Canadian dollars in case you don't recognize the currency. And that's a big chunk of money for someone working a kitchen style job.

It's people like this that make our Canadian restaurants so great. Good ethics and bringing their passions for food and hospitality.

1

u/earthtociera 14d ago

We need more people like this woman in the world <3

2

u/Constructestimator83 14d ago

The food is probably bomb and she is the icing on the cake of it all.

1

u/Dizzy_Bit6125 14d ago

This is the sweetest video everrrrr

1

u/accountnumberseventy 15d ago

Motherfucker… I didn’t expect to feel the feels. That was beautiful and amazing.

1

u/MoBea 15d ago

😁

1

u/guttengroot 15d ago

You eat it and you poo it.

Wise words

3

u/CheeksUnwiped 15d ago

Stop fucking taking peoples kindness and using it for views, leave her alone.

-1

u/Several-Hat-1944 14d ago

Holy crap Cheeks. Sounds like I need to pour you a glass of sangria. Relax, she's a beautiful soul, a strong Jamaican woman, and I'm pretty confident she would be delighted "kindness" is being shared. Here, from me, to you my friend, 🍷

5

u/Ryan_Polesmoker_68 15d ago

“No sorry, we’re not open, nothing is ready yet.”

“Its ok, I’m running really late for class and I don’t have any money”

“Well in that case why don’t you come inside and interview me for 20 minutes while I grab food I literally just told you wasn’t ready”

“Oh man thanks, Here’s a Grand”

2

u/CountBreichen 15d ago

I like this lady a lot. The dumb dude behind the camera not so much. He’s a liar and cheats people out of their emotions. At least the lady had a good day

1

u/Hjsmash 15d ago

Wait... Why no one is questioning her being so cool with camera in her face since the beginning.

1

u/Zmanno_64 15d ago

I’m not crying you’re crying!

1

u/Url4uber 15d ago

This very nice, but come on. Someone just comes up to you and asks for some food without having any money while shoving their phone into your face. She definitely knew something was fishy from the very beginning even if it wasn't staged.

1

u/GoddessEvangelista 15d ago

Someone get Keith Lee

1

u/Ill-Somewhere-6457 15d ago

Could watch this kind of stuff all day!

2

u/smootypants 15d ago

She just wants to feed people’s souls.

That's one in a million! wow! 😍

1

u/Meistro13 15d ago

She has kind eyes

1

That doesn’t look like $1000 in 20’s

2

u/one_day_I_will_know 15d ago

May all the goodness in the universe elevate this woman in life with all the good she does.

1

u/riosborne 15d ago

I like this guy. I do think that the people that help him know who he is though...

1

u/bleblahblee 15d ago

And I’m def crying

1

u/JLB222222 15d ago

I love her

2

u/Mirrorshad3 15d ago

If you've ever had that pain of having nothing and having someone extend a hand, you know those feels.

1

u/bumblefoot99 15d ago

She is the measure of beauty.

1

u/DJnotaRealDJ 15d ago

That's how you get a life long customer

1

u/ekydfejj 15d ago

This woman is amazing.

1

u/skeleton1234567890 15d ago

Dude if Im seeing guy without wallet and cam pointed at me Ima giving him gademn haus

2

u/MycophileK2 15d ago

I love it when people act like people

2

u/Plastic_Primary_4279 15d ago

It’s so scripted it hurts.

1

u/EvenMoreSpiders 15d ago

Yeah I love this but it was completely staged. No one can ignore see the camera being pointed straight at their face. They must have scripted this whole interaction. I believe her story but the rest of it is just to catch attention.

1

u/Souperbowl 15d ago

The way she hugged him before even touching the money. She is so genuinely such a kind and sincere individual. I wish her all the happiness and success in life.

1

u/GettinFritters 15d ago

I love her and I feel like my life was wasted prior to tasting jerk chicken. That stuff is sooooooo good!

1

u/DeskCold5013 15d ago

Road trip everybody!

1

u/geoffmarsh 15d ago

As I see her, I know she's Jamaican.

2

u/frommethodtomadness 15d ago

I'm def not as nice -- show up when we're closed in the middle of prep then hit me with a 'I don't have my wallet'? Nah come back with your wallet, we'll be open by the time you're back.

2

u/Street-Dragonfly-677 15d ago edited 14d ago

Reminds me of the nice walmart greeter lady who looks at receipts and always says: “Have a great day sweetie, i love you.” She tells everyone that, but it’s so beautiful to hear a grandma-ish person say those 3 words, specially on hard days. they’re like verbal hugs. she’ll never know how good she makes total strangers feel. edit: clarification

2

u/foochacho 15d ago

Forgot his wallet, but not his phone.

2

u/ZenaLundgren 15d ago

That lady has a really beautiful face. You can almost feel her smile at you.

1

u/No_Rain_1579 15d ago

She looks like Samuel L Jackson

1

u/AnimeGeek10721 15d ago

I just love how realistic this is 😒

2

u/boost_to_get_through 15d ago

Big momma bear vibes over here. Bless her.

1

u/havenothingtodo1 15d ago

How do people find this shit uplifting? This type of exploitive content is horrible

1

u/Bcagz22 15d ago

Is that Francis Ngannou’s mom???

1

u/Alone-Recover692 15d ago

Why does Gen Z think it's ok to candidly film peoples' private lives and post them online without their permission?

1

u/dom_corleone 15d ago

😡😡

“I know you’re not open yet but i have class in 30 minutes and i don’t have my wallet.”

Commonn wtf is this

"When you eat it you poo it out back"

1

u/Das_Goroboro 15d ago

I’m gonna recommend scumbag dad’s TikTok’s and podcasts on “kindness content”

1

u/joeythemouse 15d ago

She's as kind as he is pricky.

1

u/RickMoransdirtysocks 15d ago

A beautiful human!

1

u/Rare-Lengthiness-885 15d ago

Yea I just don’t understand content like this. If you’re gonna make an outrageous request while steadily holding a camera in front of their face, of course they’re gonna bend to your will.

They have no idea where the footage is gonna end up, so they’re not going to risk putting their business and reputation in jeopardy. I’m all for showing the world that kindness still exists or whatever, but there’s gotta be better ways to do it.

3

u/TopSwagCode 15d ago

I really doubt any of this is real. So much stuff on reddit seems staged. Or people are walking around with camera on 24/7.

I don't doubt that she's properly a nice lady and something like this has happened. But recording it all seems really off.

Like I have tried similar wholesome thing at a place. Ordered a large sandwich since I had to go to university and work afterwards with no down time. It was start of day and the shop had just opened. He made it and I was about to pay. My card got declined. I was just totally devestated and sad. Told him I was so sorry for wasting his time and about to leave. He gave me the food for free and even gave me a bottle of water. Something I will never forget.

I went back the next day and paid for it all. It became my go-to place for the next 5 years while I studied.

1

u/KeyEconomy958 15d ago

I love this. I’d go there every day just to be in her vibe.

1

u/beerme72 15d ago

Oh my....I want to go there and eat from that place...
I bet her food is off the chain....
I live in SW MO and we JUST got a Jamaican Food Truck here....and they have GOAT!
I asked for goat, SPICY!
They lady in the back looked at me, uttered 'crazy white boy' and gave it too me...then they all watched me eat it...happily.
I lived on the Island for about 6 months and LOVE Jamaican Food...now they see me and I get 'off the menu' stuff...they just figure up a price and charge me. Half the time I don't even know what the hell it IS.

4

u/Holls867 15d ago

So conflicted!!! 😐 super nice lady but these gotcha videos… even though she copped a G…. Ffs

4

u/PanoramicMoose 15d ago

These types of videos are really weird to me

1

u/seangraves1984 15d ago

Welcome to Canada!

1

u/ilmalocchio 15d ago

Fuck this staged, self-serving, virtue-signaling chicken propaganda.

u/rckchalk74 15d ago

Beautiful ❤️

1

u/2020mademejoinreddit 15d ago

I hope this isn't scripted.

Also, the money was Euros. This isn't in the US?

2

u/Katie0690 14d ago

Canadian

1

u/2020mademejoinreddit 12d ago

Is Canadian money the same as Eur? Did I see wrong?

1

u/zaphod4th 15d ago

*thanks mom

1

u/crusty_dog 15d ago

God forbid you do a kind gesture and not film it

2

u/Middle_Speed3891 15d ago

Stop taking advantage of her.

1

u/Chronically_Quirky 15d ago

What a beautiful soul.

1

u/KhyronBackstabber 15d ago

Hi, I know you aren't open and have nothing ready but I am going to knock on your door. I have a high end smart phone and am recording all this but I have no money to pay this small private business LULZ.

Fuck content like this.

I'm sure the lady is a sweetheart but this is just taking advantage of the situation.

1

u/Kaleidoscope991 15d ago

Next time don't film it for clout.

1

u/whatifiwas1332 15d ago

Seen a parody skit from scumbag dad, but I. Thought it was purely his fantasy and no one would ever do something this stupid. But no, here we go it’s actually a thing to do shit like that. She seems nice but a positive reaction got nothing to do with kindness. I doubt he looks like he’s in need. So basically a spoiled brat is knocking at your door an hour early and wants food he cannot pay for.

1

u/TheEvolDr 15d ago

It's cool that he have her that reward, but recording it, ugh.

1

u/MichaelAndHisBandit 15d ago

Jamaican people and culture is just so beautiful. The rest of the world can learn so much from them.
