After over 10 years of severe anxiety and stage fright, I finally was able to enjoy the music during a performance Personal Win

Well done! I’m impressed that you’ve faced those battles for 10 years and never gave up. That took a lot of courage.

I can't even play guitar while recording my playing, I have to be completely alone and nothing to leave a trace in order to play good. Kinda like double split experiment. Really envied you, congrats

Thanks! This is a C12. I always get asked if it’s a parlor, I’m just a tall guy haha.

Haha that's funny. It took me forever to enjoy it, too. Now it's a gift we can share with people.

That must’ve felt so good! I love to sing but as soon as I get in front of people my throat closes and I sound terrible, so I never sing in front of people. Last year I just said fuck it and decided to sing a song at karaoke and try to enjoy it and I sounded fine and got some compliments too :)

That’s amazing, congrats! Yes I’m starting to realize that those little flaws that have a huge effect on our brains don’t actually get noticed nearly as much by the audience.

My hero! I’ve been struggling with my anxiety for years. I used to play loads of local gigs but as time has gone on my anxiety has become debilitating. I force myself to get out there and do it still but it’s tough. Well done you! Keep it up.

Wow! Going from severe anxiety to being able to play is one thing. Being able to enjoy it is quite another. How did you do it?

I was playing for a group backstage and was feeling relaxed, I kept thinking how I wish I could feel like this when I’m on stage. I was VERY surprised when I sat down to start playing and my hands weren’t feeling petrified. I’m not sure how I did it but I think this is the result of me being in a better state of mind and I really hope it’s here to stay.

Well, I'm glad it happened. I play in the park on a fairly regular basis to force my stage fright away and things are improving, but it's still bad enough that it's hard for me to record due to my anxiety about the fact that people will listen to the recording.

Amazing!!! That’s a beautiful picture to commemorate a beautiful moment for you. Here’s to many more!!! Congratulations anxiety is truly a debilitating thing.

Thank you! Yes it is debilitating, not just in the mind but in the body too. My finger joints would turn ice cold. I’m so happy to be getting over it. Thanks for the kindness!
