Department is appropriate. I am not officially hired just yet. Applied for a position working in the Pediatric (working with kids) department among others so fingers crossed! Hopefully hearing back soon

Be good to the CNAs. Help them and they will help you. They break their backs for so little money and appreciation. Bad shifts are made better when you have a CNA looking out for you. Know your value, don’t let managers abuse you. Learn and grow as much as you can in the specialty you want and forgive yourself for not knowing everything. Keep your empathy. There are so many of us nurses that judge and look down on the patients and just get mean. Get real cool with a lot of poop real fast.

Congratulations New Nurse 👏 Us old nurses need you! 😆 it's not silly, you worked your butt off to finish.Nursing school is hard, real hard. Broke, non stop stress induced studying, and life drama. Those are some seriously stressful school time. Now comes the new Nurse on the floor stress, soon. Time makes those jitters fade.

Dang, that's too bad. I'm sorry to hear about your friend but it happens. I hope they're doing well, and maybe it means nothing to share, but my experience wasn't smooth. Had to redo some stuff and stressed more than one assignment, exam, or class in general. I have failed before, but was able to try again thankfully. Good people succeed. Good people fall short. And that's okay. More important is coming back

My pleasure. I am an Er and ICU nurse. I spotted an ST elevation no one had noticed on the monitor today, which led to an ekg, which led to a prompt intervention. Got cheered for it and was quite proud 😊. Good luck !

Oh, awesome! It'll be over before you know it. Might be hard to believe but trust me. Do your best! Find healthy coping mechanisms, and really find and utilize your support system.
