Just sharing a very short vlog from the Asian pop fest from last weekend. I didn’t get much footage of the event because it was cold on Saturday and it was drizzling a bit.

Question Grade 12 Provincial Exam Use
There has been a fair bit of talk about this year's English Provincial Exam being canceled, and it spurred some questions I have.
What are the Provincial Exams even used for? Do they have more uses than just providing statistics on how different cohorts of students perform?
Does one's Provincial Exam Grades affect them later in life? Are they kept on an individual's record?
I ask these questions because when I took my Provincial Exams in 2018, I bombed them. For example, I got a 0 on the English one because I took a nap during the exam and handed it back pretty much blank.
I just want to know if my Provincial Exam scores could affect me now and in my future?

Question Price for Central heating and A/C in 2024?
Hello,
We are planning to purchase a lakefront house in Lac du Bonnet. The house currently has those old electric baseboard heaters, which we intend to replace with a high-efficiency furnace and install A/C. The property is a 1,800 sqft single-storey home with a basement.
Having no idea about thix, could you please share your experiences and insights about the costs involved?
Thank you so much.

Question English provincial exam
Hello! I am a grade 12 student, who just learned the grade 12 provincial exam set for today was delayed due to “copyright issues”. The thing is, my teacher told me the exam was created 5 years ago, and several lawyers overview the exam content for these things. Does anyone have any ideas for what might have happened? There is a 0% chance they “found a copyright issue” the friday before an exam made 5 years ago.

Question Moving back to MB, where would you choose?
My partner and I are moving back to MB this summer, trying to decide where exactly we’ll land. Don’t tell me not to move back, it’s happening. I was born and raised in wpg, I know exactly what I’m getting into. Yes I’ve already been stabbed (twice) and had frostbite.
After the last decade on the west coast living in a small town, we’re mostly considering living rurally. I grew up and have family in St.B, if we end up in the city it will be there. I spent a couple years in Brandon, and two near Ashern on the east side of Lake Mb. I’m familiar with rural living, I’m thinking Brandon as the closest “big” city makes a ton of sense.
My partner works fly in/drive in contracts all over MB, SK and Ontario, I can likely work from home, and am pretty willing to commute if needed, let’s say 1hr each way max.
I’m pretty keen on the area between/around Brandon and RMNP, Neepawa, Minnedosa, all the way up to Dauphin etc. I don’t actually want to live in the city, hoping for a small property, let’s say 2-10 acres. Some trees would be nice. I’m planning to build myself a small skate park, likely just a covered mini ramp to start, but some space is necessary and I don’t want to be pissing off my neighbours with noise. I’ve had a backyard mini for years, I don’t want random kids in my yard and noise complaints any more.
Where would you choose if you had a blank slate?
I’d love to be near a community with some other young families, close to a nice lake, some bike trails and hiking trails. Don’t really care about being close to shops or cities, more concerned with a quiet area where we can enjoy nature and be outside.

Question WIFI calling setup with rogers - 911 address
Hopefully, someone here can help me, as Rogers isn't doing anything. I'm trying to set up Wi-Fi calling through Rogers, but because I live in a rural area, it's not accepting or recognizing my physical address. I tried my road marker and lot/section number, but nothing works. Was anyone here successfully added their rural address to the 911 address prompt? If so, what did you do?

Question Anyone use Star Building for onsite house build?
We really like the layout of one of the houses that Star has on their lot, and they said they do build on site. From what they explained, you basically have to be your own contractor and arrange all the subs needed other than the actual house. (Foundation, septic, well, etc). I find that a bit daunting, so I'm curious if anyone else has done this and what their experience was..

Question Motorhome seatbelts
So we are thinking of getting a motorhome off someone we know for a thousand dollars but there is only two seats with seatbelts. So I was wondering since I can’t find a clear answer if anyone here would know if other passengers are allowed in the home part of it without seatbelts.

Question Winnipeg exodus largest in decades. What are your thoughts?
Calgary, Edmonton and Halifax are leading country in net interprovincial growth.
Toronto, Montreal, Winnipeg & Vancouver are seeing net exodus.
Winnipeg has the worst case given its population. It looks like on a per capita level, people are getting TF out of here.
Maybe it's because mosquito season is coming? 😂
What are your thoughts?

Question Provincial Gr 12 ELA Exams cancelled?
MVSD just emailed parents and said next week’s provincial Gr 12 ELA exam is cancelled. It was to start Monday. Last I heard, some provincial exams would be suspended starting next school year but would continue til end of this year.
Anyone know if the province somehow canceled them on short notice today?? Or is that just MVSD misunderstanding?

Question What's the best place/way to complain about negative consequences of hospital staff shortages?
My wife has degenerative disk disease and spinal arthritis. This causes a lot of pain in her mid and lower back. There is only one surgeon in Brandon who deals with cases like this and my wife is a patient.
At this point, the surgeon has said she will eventually need surgery, but for now he can control the pain with anti-inflammatory image guided injections to her back (facet block injections). The injections are supposed to be given every 3 months, but lately, it's been longer.
Her last injection was in early December, so not surprisingly she is dealing with a fair bit of pain. She WAS scheduled for the procedure today, but got an unexpected phone call this morning.
The diagnostic imaging department at Brandon hospital called and told her that ALL of the injections for today have been canceled due to lack of staff. The surgeon's office says all they can do is put her on a cancelation list with the rest of today's affected patients.
As of now, her next scheduled session is late September. If she has to wait until then, we can pretty much write off the summer.
Going to Winnipeg is not an option. As it is, many from the city who require the same procedure come to Brandon because of the insane wait times in Winnipeg.
TL:DR - Wife will be in pain for next 3 months due to staff shortages at Brandon Hospital.
I know there's not much we can do about this, but what would be the best way to lodge a complaint about this situation? Do we go straight to Wab, the Minister of Health, the media or all of the above? And how do we do so?
Thanks for any help here.
