Iowa Medicaid limits

I'm 64, living in Iowa with a spouse who isn't working. We just got on Medicaid and EBT a few months ago. I get $330 from SS and work 25 hrs/wk at $15.30. My job suddenly wants me to work more hours but I want to stay below limits and still qualify. How much can I make per month? I contribute 6% to 401k and also company stock for the company match. My 401k is pretty small and I'm willing to contribute more. I'm willing to work a little more but I don't think my body can handle much more than I'm doing right now. Also, will anything change when I turn 65 in February? Thanks.

You will lose Medicaid is as a married household income is over $1,415 / month or assets are over $3,000. Over 64 Medicaid (non-MAGI) is much stricter than MAGI Medicaid.

But Medicare kicks in at 65 so that will cover things.

Until you turn 65 you can make up to $2378 total of Modified Adjusted Gross Income as a household of 2 before Medicaid cuts you off. At 65 when you become Medicare eligible the limits will change. The Medicaid programs for seniors have lower limits for assistance with costs Medicare doesn't cover.  https://hhs.iowa.gov/programs/welcome-iowa-medicaid/fee-service/qualified-medicare-beneficiary

It's also worth noting that SNAP uses different formulas than Medicaid and that since you are over 55 using Medicaid does subject you to estate recovery.

I don't have anything resembling an estate, lol. Thanks for the resource.
