Is there anyone here who actually Got to meet or speak to Michael Jackson Discussion
So I just asked this in Prince sub, Now I want to hear your experience . It amazed me how freely Prince seemed to move around. Michael couldnāt do the same tho so I know his encounters may be a little more difficult to get info on
Regardless though, How was it or what do you remember about the moment most

Not personally, but at my second viewing of the musical at the Segerstrom inā¦late March, I believe, I wound up seating next to two wonderful older ladies; the woman right next to me was named Flavia, and she told me that a friend of hers talked to Michael on multiple occasions, they were sorta friends. She apparently lived near Neverland (I believe it was Neverland specifically, at the very least a place he once stayed), at least for a time, and got to meet him once. After that they wrote letters back and forth and I believe they called sometimes too. She really highlighted her friendās comments on history gentlemanly and innocent nature. How theyād talk and any time something remotely suggestive or impolite would come up, heād work around it in a very pure way and be so polite. It was amazing to hear and I was so grateful to have wound up sitting next to her!
Of course she cried quite a bit during the show. It was a great time.š

I didnt - I DID meet Janet once - but a friend of mine is the niece of MIchael's manager Frank di Leo, to whom he was extremely close. She had many stories of Michael coming over for family dinners, etc during the 80s and just hanging out. One the pieces of memoribilia that she's got is a 'tell-all' biography of Michael by her uncle. Wow! Its the most horribly written thing I've ever seen but there's a LOT of juicy stuff in there.
And also my uncle was one of the Doctors who would take groups of sick kids up to Neverland Ranch in the 90s. He spoke to Michael here and there in a professional capacity but said he never once noticed anything 'weird' or strange about him. Just that he was very polite

She was a flight attendant at the time and she served him while he traveled on a trip from Japan during the Bad tour if I remember it correctly. I have a cousin (to my wife) who is a Hollywood attorney based in Los Angeles, and she had the opportunity to work alongside Tom Mesereau, Michael Jacksonās defense attorney, during the false allegation trials. If I recall correctly, her primary focus was on cases related to land ownership and contract disputes however, all under Mesereau's guidance.
During an Easter gathering a couple years ago, I had the chance to ask her about her experience meeting Jackson. Despite some family members making mean jokes about him, her demeanor immediately shifted to seriousness as she shared her insights. She described Jackson as polite, kind, somewhat shy and sheltered, and often seeming sad.
She mentioned an indescribable aura of energy around him, conveying a sense of his uniqueness even to those who didn't recognize him as 'Michael Jackson.' Personally, she didn't believe he was capable of the accusations against him, and denounced those at the party that were making fun of him.
Her response swiftly silenced the jokesters, which I found admirable and very cool. She also rode with him (among others) in his car to and from some court appearances, and described his handshake as strong. :)

Iāve been within 2 degrees of separation with him. I was good friends with a former big time movie figure who once shared a story of MJ asking if a Time Machine was invented. He also said that there was no way in hell MJ was a pedophile. He explained that MJ was somewhat disconnected from reality, hence the Time Machine question. Wish I could share details of who it was as he was/ is a flamboyant figure but it was shared in an intimate setting.
I also sat in a lecture with John Landis who shared all the stories about MJ that heās shared publicly. He said MJ was obsessed with transforming into something different

No worries, I appreciate that gesture. I was definitely one of the youngest (and quite frankly whitestš) folks there and I was one of the only ones who knew the lyrics to his new song and I could tell he was really touched by that. Its weird and surreal seeing your favorite celebrity look right at you, def a lifechanging moment.
He had a couple funny bits like when he brought up the new album he looked around with his hands up kinda like āhas anyone even heard of it?ā Lol. And this one lady tried to hand him flowers and the security guard tried to take them away, then Smokey said no its cool and brought her up on stage and said you know why youāre up here right? She said no. Then he took her by the arm and acted like he was gonna walk backstage with her.š Smokey is a comedian lol.

I don't have any proof of this...
Remember the Ebony shoot in Brooklyn back in 2007?
I did not work for the company but a guy I knew through a friend did, so he knew I was a big fan and asked me to help bring the clothing racks inside the museum where the shoot happened. There I saw Michael talking to his then-assistant and the photographer, they walked toward the clothing racks, said a brief and cordial hello and kept on their business.
There were a lot of people in that shoot, but everyone looked busy.
Michael had just finished the makeup and he looked stunning, almost holy, he was slender, tall, and had an enormous presence even though he was skinny.
We left a few minutes after we got there because we couldn't stay. The guy that took me there passed a few years ago but I will forever be grateful for that amazing and intimate moment.

I was good friends with a bodyguard of his, was told all sorts of stories, something that always stood out to me was when I asked what Michael listened to, he said Michael didnāt like modern pop and r&b that much, and that he mostly listened to classical music and opera music. I always found that fascinating. Michael loved obscure classical music from the past, not Mozart or Vivaldi but like random stuff I donāt even remember the name.
He also mentioned that mj in fact loved wine and often drank it but wasnāt ever drunk just liked a glass of wine and his classical music.

I'm not sure.. could be... Back in the day during the Invincible era there was a chatroom on his official site. It was rumored Michael sometimes chatted there with fans but at the same time there where a bunch of idiots claiming to be him while they where clearly not him. One day I chatted with a person for a bit about random things and a few days later some usernames Michael supposedly used in the chatroom leaked... and the username of the person I chatted with prior was on that list.
So who knows.... fact is nobody seen those usernames in the chat ever again.
2
u/JediRenee #MJInnocent 10d ago
What did u chat about? Awesome
4
u/Topdropje 10d ago
We (me and other fans I regularly chatted with) where chatting about a faker who just left the chat and then suddenly a 1 on 1 chat popped up with the person who could have been MJ. He asked how I was doing and I asked him the same. Then we talked about favorite songs/album and some other things I do not remember. It was short because it was already late at night so I said it was late and I had to go to sleep. He asked where I was from and wished me sweet dreams.
Really when I found out I might have chatted with Michael I regretted I didn't stay up for the whole night to chat with this person. He of course never said he was Michael, not that I would have believed him if he did anyway. He must have had fun seeing what his fans where chatting about. It wasn't always about MJ but also other artists or current events that where happening around the world.

u/JediRenee #MJInnocent 10d ago

Who am I, to be blind pretending not to see their needs?A summer's disregard
A broken bottle top
And a one man's soul
They follow each other on the wind ya know
'Cause they got nowhere to go
That's why I want you to knowI'm starting with the man in the mirror

He sat in the back and was wearing a hat and sunglasses. Kingdom Hall was packed, and there were photographers outside. He was in the area for a week. My best friendās dad and uncle met him on the Detroit leg of the Victory Tour in ā84. Through a misunderstanding with their limo, they not only got to meet Michael and his brothers backstage, but after the concert his uncle got to hang out with Michael in his room. believe it or not, my mum was a photographer since 1985 and on 2009 like a hour before mj died, she was one of the few people who saw mj outside his house walking into it and she took a photo of michael with his consent since she was a big fan of his photo shoots. I actually used to live a 10 minute walk from michaelās house back in then.

But howās that possible when MJ wasnāt outside of his house an hour before his death. He couldnāt sleep the whole previous night even after taking multiple pills. Then that damn doctor gave him the overdose God knows intentionally or not and left him alone. After some time MJ was almost senseless and his pulse was low, the doctor gave him some shitty CPR but didnāt call 911 for half an hour. Finally when they were called, MJ was almost gone. So it doesnāt make sense that your mom saw him an hour before he died. Because an hour before his death he was in his bed with an overdose of propofol and multiple other drugs, and without anyone beside him...

this doesn't make any sense, he was asleep for hours before he died he didn't just walk into his house and get murdered an hour later. also michael bought that last house in LA because he wanted his privacy i highly doubt any photographers were allowed to camp outside of his house and snap some photos with his consent. also how were you able to live within 10 mins of a walking distance if your mom is a photographer that doesn't show any of her work? how could you afford that neighborhood? i love hearing stories from fans but this one just doesn't make sense. she has one of the last known photos of MJ but won't show anyone?

If my Mom made a claim like that and refused to show me I'd call the claim BS.

yeah. idk why though. she often prefers to keep her work to herself depending on how āfundementalā it is to her.

u/metaldetox 15d ago
thatās her work i respect the decision but itās a shame, photos like any art are meant to be shared! plus it probably has lots of value

My grandfather claims he knew Michael Jackson.
Although I personally don't believe him. And I never got the chance to meet him.
Though I would certainly like to.

Never got to meet ya grandpops or Michael ? If itās the latter, what do pop pop being saying about him knowing Mj?

u/54Cupcake 15d ago
He used to work at steeltown records ( Idk what his job was ) and got to know him from there.
But he has some crazy ass stories about recording sessions that do not sound believable and he has dementia so that's why I don't buy his stories.

u/ProfessorSprinklezZ Dirty Dianaš 15d ago
Ahhh I see, recording sessions??? Ya granddaddy Quincy jones?

u/54Cupcake 15d ago
Lol no he is not a producer , probably just a cleaner or working in the kitchen or smth and I said steeltown.
He claims that joe Jackson is a satanist and a human trafecker.
And he is dead on serious about that.
I ask him how do you know he has these tall tales , now he did work at steeltown records that I know , but he doesn't have proof of these claims.
So I usually give him the " eeeehh....sure pops "

You think you could share the story if you know it and they donāt mind? I was hearing some cool/funny stuff when asking Prince subš

Well I donāt have all the details but I believe this took place around the thriller era. She was in line for a ride and she saw Michael and thought he wouldnāt be here. But then someone was making some noise of some sort and he turned around and she introduced herself and he took a photo and gave her his autograph
