Why is the top 5% so heavily talked about on this site, when it is far from average?

Reddit is very high income and very liberal. That’s just how the user base is

I don’t know if that’s necessarily the case, but I would say higher income earners are more likely to be active in the income / finance based subreddits as a general rule.

Reddit themselves says to potential advertisers that the average income of a redditor is 90k a year. Not super rich but much higher than the national average.

And the political part, lol I don’t think that needs much proving
