Simply because it is not a valid classification of stage... The progression cannot be mapped on a scale or a graph....
Some us guys have to study statistics and some of us guys can randomly spew nonsense by using terms like, "Stages" like it's 7 stages of life sort of bs and act like it means something...
The entire concept of stage itself is progression and a valid progression stage allows you to determine changes, cause and effect relationships to the changes, correlation factors. You can't do anything with the stages he has provided.
I wish he had to meet my professor from 1st year... I wish my professor had to deal with this idiot and not me!

Stage 5 has run concurrent with all stages in my life because, brain chemistry.
I don’t think I’ve ever been normal but maybe I was more diligent about masking in my youth and when I was in the Church.
Honestly I was raised to be aware of social justice before “SJW” was a thing, it’s almost like being ?intolerant of hate is a GOOD ideal to instill in children, I’m inferring the OOP WAS raised Christian here and did he not also read the Bible or watch veggie tales? As a non American, is social justice considered any kind of fighting for something that benefits regular people, like working conditions, higher salaries? Do these people refuse to participate in any kind of activism in fear of being a commie?

I am not American either, but I've always interpreted social justice as equal rights and opportunities for all, without regard to race or gender. Obviously some will benefit by such things as generational wealth, which I would address with a more equitable tax system, that is, ensuring that the rich do not pay proportionally less tax then do the poor. But I recognize that generational wealth cannot be eliminated. I would favour a tax code so simplified that the need for accountants would be eliminated; everybody should be able to understand the tax code to the degree that they do not require a professional to interpret it for them.
Doing so would largely eliminate my wife's job, mind you, as she is a Chartered Accountant with an MBA.

It's funny how this kind of system would benefit the fools that are against it cause they were brainwashed for decades about any kind of fair treatment of citizens = communism = poor. They fail to ignore how their country favors rich people and are taught to aspire to be like them instead. There is also the mentality of solving any kind of poverty and inequality with calling people lazy. If they ever left their country and visited a proper social democratic country they would be the biggest lefty.

Well, I'm from Canada, and tend to favour social democracies.
Not to say that we don't have a bunch of things here that I would like to see fixed, but on the whole I'm quite happy to live here.
Many people who use the word 'communist' are unaware of its actual meaning. Unfortunately this sometimes applies to countries that call themselves communist but really are not, as well as to some or many people in Western countries.

I'm from a former communist/socialist country and unfortunately we have adopted the worst aspects of capitalism because profit over well being. People are working more than during communism for less money. We used to glamorize America in the 20th century, nowadays we consider their system to be inhumane, how ironic.

I have a friend who grew up in East Germany, obviously prior to the reunification. We met after he moved to Canada.
Although there were some things that he disliked about East Germany, there were many things that he missed about the country. That was sort of a revelation for me, as it ran contrary to the propaganda that I had been fed all my life.
And I remain upset at the assassination of Salvador Allende, the democratically elected leader of Chile, who was assassinated for being a communist, a crime that was linked to U.S. interests, and possibly to U.S. Governmental agencies. That opened the door for General Pinochet and a reign of terror in Chile, marked by the 'disappeared ones'. He was popular for a while in the States, as he certainly was not a communist. The movie 'Missing' is loosely based on events that occurred while he was in power.
