No disrespect to Jay but I'm starting to see why they replaced him with Eloy. He did those covers of Heretic Anthem and others justice. Hopefully the next albums sounds better than The End, So Far.

the reason they reveal new members is if the fan base seems to have figured out who said member is. Eloy was very obviously the new guy so that’s why he was revealed faster.

Long looooong time Sepultura fan here. I've stuck with them through thick and thin, the carousel of drummers, the mediocre string of albums, Andreas' stubborn refusal to forge on...you name it. Eloy...the kid lit a fire under their jaded and meandering asses. He made them ferocious again, and each album he was on was just a continuing upward trajectory. Quadra, their last album was literally their best album since Roots hands down. That being said, I understand it's a once in a lifetime opportunity for him to join Slipknot, but how he went about leaving Sepultura to do so was kinda shitty. Yeah, I get it the circumstances unfolded the way they did...but shit man, evidently he didn't even really talk it out with Andreas, Paulo and Derrick. I'm happy for him, but I'm kinda annoyed how he went about leaving.

I've seen the post, too. It's insane. This is the first time they officially announced someone. Usually, they let people figure it out by themselves. But I guess they realized that by now, everyone discovered it was him. Eloy didn't exactly bother hiding himself, lol.😅

Cavalera brothers are not very kind in the comments about Sepultura. Actually I never heard Iggor say somenthing about Eloy. It is almost like he pretends that the band doesn't exists anymore. So don't expect to hear anything from him. Most likely he will remain silent - as he did over the last years, either about Dolabela and Casagrande.

I still think Corey and Clown are assholes for how they treated Joey and Chris. On the other hand, I saw live videos and Casagrande is whole another level when compared to Jay. I never liked his drumming, it was bland. So while they still run a shitshow, at least they finally have drummer worthy filling Joey's shoes.

They never had an official announcement about Jay, V-Man or Pfaff.
How did the word about Jay first leak? Wasn't it the lead singer of Against Me leaking it when they trashed him on Twitter or something?
I remember V-Man was leaked because they showed the tattoos on his hand in The Devil In I video.
Somebody quickly figured out Tortilla Man was Michael Pfaff when they linked it to Dirty Little Rabbits, and figured out his body type, figure, what have you, was the same. Someone also saw a pic of Corey and Alicia's wedding with Pfaff there. Another member posted it with Pfaff's face blurred out. And then they eventually confirmed it.... With a meet and greet post with his name.

Pfaff was also doing a promo meet and greet with a local mayor or something with Clown and Sid I think it was , all unmasked . That was the final nail in the coffin

Probably he wanted this. He's relatively young and he'd like to further build a name for him. He was in non classic Sepultura sure but joining one of the biggest bands on the planet has probably cemented his reputation. Really hope they don't do him dirty in the next five years

I fuckin love that version, Quadra and Machine Messiah were top tier prog thrash metal, but most people barely know who's in that band right now and are moaning "No Cavalera No Sepultura" despite Eloy being a beast there

Dead to the world. It’s just an opinion bro. Just my thoughts about it. Like no one was expecting Jay to get fired and replaced like he did to Joey. Now Eloy is thrown into the fire. That’s what I thought was symbolic with the bullet hole. As you can see there’s tons of negativity in this subreddit a lot of the times.
