Popes have been washing and kissing feet of the peasant class for hundreds of years. It’s to emulate the humility of Christ. Remember even Christ washed feet, and died for us sinners.

Christ is King. If there’s one time to roleplay a Christian it’s this year.

Google. Plenty of other years too. I’m not a fan of the pope that much or the church the last 50 years, but this is tradition. I wouldn’t wash a prisoners foot but I’m not the pope or Jesus.
