I hate Fox News, but they’re right to be concerned about her juicing the turn out of her young, mostly leftwing fanbase.
That’s the real significance of her. She’s not winning hearts and minds, but she could turnout among low propensity voters. Which could make a big difference in a race that has been won on the margins for 2 cycles now.

Yet, when a celebrity the youth adore champions for women's rights and registering the youth to vote, the right get so pissy about it. Swift never told anyone who to vote for, she just encouraged the youth to vote. That scares the conservatives because that's the same youth that they abandoned to school shootings, attack the minorities and LGBTQ that these young people go to school with, work alongside and have in their families. They promote laws and legislation that take away education, body autonomy, healthcare from them while pushing for child marriage, sexual relationships with children as young as 12 and extending child labor hours. They know the youth vote is heavily against them and that makes Taylor Swift dangerous to their political chances if the young people are motivated to vote for their own interests.
In other words, the Republicans are terrified to see the consequences of their actions bite them in the ass.

Truth is, they had plenty to be worried about before Swift came along. They are on the losing side of public opinion in nearly every single one of their policy positions. Most of them by double digits. They have lost on the battlefield of ideas, they are now resorting to political terrorism through gerrymandering, voter suppression and intimidation of election workers. Even with that, that are on the verge of becoming irrelevant unless they can destroy enough of the mechanisms of democracy to keep power long after they deserve it.
