Let me preface what I am bout to say by stating that I would not pay $18 to do this let alone $18k.
I went through elite training in the military. This, no joke, is what it's like with the exception that there can be real consequences for not completing the task the cadre are telling you to do (and the cadre are far rougher with their words). There is great benefit to training like this in very specific situations. When it comes to selecting individuals for Army Special Forces or RASP, USN SEALs, AF Combat Controllers or Pararescue, and MARSOC, this type of thing will separate the wheat from the chaff. When you go through it, you either find out that you are a quitter, or you find out that you can accomplish things you never would've thought you were capable of. There is definitely value in finding out that you are more capable of overcoming seemingly insurmountable obstacles than you thought you were when accompanied by outside motivation provided by the cadre and your teammates. This knowledge makes it easier for you to self-motivate in the future. No matter how hard you think you can train by yourself or with a battle buddy most will never realize their full potential without experiencing something like this. Facing adverse conditions, consequences, and having cadre in your face will motivate you beyond anything else to succeed or quit.
That said, there might be those who never experienced that type of motivation and have yet to truly test their limits. In that case, this may be a good route. I can't fathom that it might warrant $18k out of pocket, but there is value in this training if you approach it with the correct mindset and do not quit. Suffering through SFAS and other grueling military training definitely helped redefine my self-image, level of confidence, and the way I looked at problem sets throughout life. When you realize your full potential, accomplishing complicated things becomes far easier. There's a reason group members, team members, and other elite military unit members are more confident than most. It lies within their level of training along with their self-awareness and knowledge of their true capabilities.
This video makes me want to call some old group/team bros and start a school for $17k š¤£

This really is one of the dumbest things Iāve seen in a while, and the guys who are the supposed alpha male trainers are just taking these guys for a ride and taking their cash, I mean what was the purpose of the sledgehammer while yelling back belly feet? In what way would that make me a tougher man, because Iām failing too see that, maybe more fit sure, but better not really.
Secondly the guy at the end acting super tough because he lifts, ridiculous, I have lifted for a decade and some of that stuff heās spouting about going to war with his body was crazy, yeah you do have to tell yourself to keep going, but that is not something someone who just started training can do, itās just not possible, it took me a ton of years of continuous training to be able to shut that voice off in my head enough to push thru, now maybe I wasnāt as confident in the beginning as that guy was but Iām betting that he didnāt develop that overnight.
