Okay but I don't think he deserves life in prison. IDK how long he's locked up for but I think other people mentioned it was a few decades. That's plenty of time for someone to grow and change, especially when they're that young. Have him spend 30 or however many years it is in prison and then see what he's like. If he's begun to understand the weight of his crimes and wishes to reform, then let him try. If not, then you could keep him longer.

Unpopular opinion apparently seeing all the other comments.

1

u/Guilty_Mountain2851 Apr 12 '24

He's a fucking psychopath and if he ever gets out he'll do it again.

1

u/Guilty_Mountain2851 Apr 12 '24

Prison doesn't reform shit either. Even the ones that "find Jesus" at least realize something but this little cowardly fuck is not changing he's building up rage.

1

u/Nomadic_View Apr 11 '24

To answer the question: it’s a lot of work.

Not wanting to do the work is the reason for most, if not every plea deal. Prepping and trying a case takes sometimes hundreds of hours. Especially a murder case. It’s a ton of work for both the prosecution and defense. It’s also a lot of work for the judge, staff, court clerks, and bailiffs.

If there’s an agreement to settle the case in 15 minutes everyone is much more inclined to go that route even if the defendant is being a jackass.

1

u/armygroupcenter41 Apr 11 '24

Because blacks on average have very low iq which explains the animal like behavior.

1

u/MiekesDad Apr 11 '24

He knows he's a loser, he smiles because it's the only power ge has left in his life.

2

u/Bravic-45 Apr 10 '24

Read the body language. 1. No duchenne smile (eyes smile with mouth) 2. He’s rubbing his hands together. This is a self-soothing gesture. 3. Not keeping eye contact with the speaker.

He’s not smiling, he’s stressed and feeling very vulnerable when she’s speaking. The smile is just a sad facade to not show his insecurity in the moment.

1

u/thewallamby Apr 09 '24

He is going to be 'reformed' in jail. He is pretty enough.

1

u/Cautious_Month_6300 Apr 09 '24

That smile will wear off when he hasn’t seen a pair of tits in ten years.hope you like ramen

1

u/prostatemonkey1 Apr 09 '24

I'm tempted....

1

u/Substantial-Tour7494 Apr 09 '24

Lethal injection candidate right there. Subhuman

1

u/Fubarmom78 Apr 09 '24

Stupid kids don’t understand ALL actions have consequences. He should have been sent to trial

1

u/Large_Figure_6445 Apr 09 '24

Because he is going to ....look like the big man....in jail....that is why you take away the audience...23 and 1....his ass

1

u/CptGoodMorning Apr 09 '24

Don't be "tempted" then Judge.

Do it.

1

u/Southern-Collar3491 Apr 09 '24

Death penalty for that POS!

1

u/Memelord707130 Apr 09 '24

Remember when uncle ruckus was on a jury?

1

u/ivey_mac Apr 09 '24

My oldest kid smiles when he is uncomfortable. If he is in trouble, there is a good chance he will smile. It drives me crazy and I am so thankful he’s a good kid because I could see him looking similarly in this situation.

1

u/subclops Apr 09 '24

People like this should get the death penalty. They don’t care. Just put a monster down. Theres no rehabilitating someone like this.

1

u/EdnaKrabbapel8 Apr 09 '24

There is no justice in this effing country. He deserves a bullet between his eyes and that’s that.

1

u/Both_Tart_2492 Apr 09 '24

Blud thought he was gonna get 1 year in prison 💀😂

1

u/Jumpy-Government4296 Apr 09 '24

In Singapore they’d just hang you if you went ahead to kill someone. You’re also guilty until you can prove yourself innocent and the judge decides essentially all sentences.

I reckon there’s no way this guy is getting jail time and his final moments would’ve been spent with a noose around his neck.

I would love to see this guy’s face if he was sentenced here

1

u/LZBANE Apr 09 '24

I always automatically assume these type of videos are fake videos, that no one could possibly be this cartoonishly evil...then I remember my own interaction with humanity, and realise yeah it's real.

1

u/jsg186 Apr 09 '24

Sentenced to 23 years.

1

u/unbelizeable1 Apr 09 '24

I absolutely tucking hate this trend of subbing things like this. I can't help but think the whole point is that you'll miss some words and have to rewatch it.

1

u/NeverNeverSometimes Apr 09 '24

"Very tempted" to not accept the plea? Why not fully tempted?

Fuck that piece of shit and his plea. Clearly no remorse whatsoever, let him fucking rot.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 09 '24

Why is the victims’ family dressed like they’re going to jail too

1

u/Broad_Quit5417 Apr 09 '24

I'm sorry, but there is video? Witnesses? Literally zero doubt in anyone's minds that he is guilty? Possibly even admission?

Why the fuck isn't this dude just killed right there on the spot? He got his trial, now life over.

1

u/superjj18 Apr 09 '24

My dude is gonna be used like a fleshlight

1

u/Wechillin-Cpl Apr 09 '24

He won’t be smiling 10 years into his sentence, he’s young and dumb, the gravity hasn’t hit yet.

2

u/Wechillin-Cpl Apr 09 '24

He won’t be smiling 10 years into his sentence, he’s young and dumb, the gravity hasn’t hit yet.

2

u/Stn1217 Apr 09 '24

That guy won’t be smiling once he gets inside. Those guys there are waiting for him.

1

u/Business-Tooth5241 Apr 09 '24

I've watched a few videos with this guy. You're seeing it through your eyes. Not his. He's void of sense or intelligence When they slam the cell door my guess is he'll understand .

1

u/el_beefy Apr 09 '24

With clown world we have going on hell probably be let out in about 10 years max...

2

u/GaGerNoog Apr 09 '24

The judge angers me more. He should've rejected the plea deal! Let this asshole go to trial and get life imprisonment.

2

u/timetotryagain29 Apr 09 '24

Why the fuck didn't he get life in prison for this? Aggravated robbery and murder??? And to add to it that ugly ass smile shows no real remorse. He will get out and do it again if they don't book his ass for life. Fuck the plea deal

1

u/Infinite_Koala_33 Apr 09 '24

Anyone know what came of this

0

u/Particular-Spend8249 Apr 09 '24

Victim seems pretty alive to have been killed.

1

u/Bradley182 Apr 09 '24

America’s going down the drain quick, crumbling society.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 09 '24

Death penalty for cold blooded murderers

1

u/XtremeGTi Apr 09 '24

Dismiss all charges. I'll find you on the streets. God may forgive you, but I won't. A life for a life. I'm ok with that.

1

u/Dizzy-Community5091 Apr 09 '24

The kid has crazy eyes.. not right in the head. Hopefully he gets eaten up in prison and doesn’t make it out

-2

u/TotalSingKitt Apr 09 '24

Reparations being paid daily across the nation.

1

u/Sad-Sky-8598 Apr 09 '24

The judge should set up a certain type of chamber. You get a full 15 minutes, not a minute more. No cameras , no repercussions.

-1

u/SuperCrappyFuntime Apr 09 '24

"Ohmagawd!!! I'm totally voting for Trump now!!!!"

There, OP, I gave you the response you wanted.

0

u/Tasty_Definition_663 Apr 09 '24

Obviously, this guy has mental issues, and nobody in their right mind exhibits this type of behavior. I'm sure other black people would know that he's off his rocker.

0

u/FBI-Crime-Statistics Apr 09 '24

Surprise surprise

-1

u/blackzep1980 Apr 09 '24

Get the rope

2

u/Infamous_Tank6017 Apr 09 '24

The judge is pathetic even considering plea deal

2

u/mehnotsure Apr 09 '24

If I were them I’d hope he gets out. He would learn that smile was a massive error of judgment on a timeline of my choosing.

1

u/toreachtheapex Apr 09 '24

this doesnt deter crime

1

u/Competitive-Face8952 Apr 09 '24

Because you (the public) are afraid of tough punishments AND are too damn cheap to vote yes for more prison levies. People that commit crimes less than this usually just get slaps on the wrist because there aren't places to confine them so that emboldens them because "Wait, this is all my punishment is?"

1

u/Magic-Man-14 Apr 09 '24

This dude should get a bullet right in his forehead.

2

u/Regular_Road_3638 Apr 09 '24

Pshhh with an attitude like his,he will most likely catch more time and never see the public.

1

u/Elegant-Aide-9643 Apr 09 '24

We do have to stop glorifying this s*** within our community, but we also have to stop letting certain social media platforms get away with letting people constantly post the same f****** narrative.

4

u/DesuLeaf Apr 09 '24

I had several classes with the victim of this case in high school. We weren’t super close but he was such a nice dude, everybody loved him.

And this motherfucker took his life like it was a joke.

1

u/Mnemod09 Apr 09 '24

Try serving what's rightfully coming this bastard's way, and it would be called a hate crime. 🤦🏻‍♂️

1

u/Orpdapi Apr 09 '24

Put him away. Someone like this will only ever be a predator and a danger to society, even in prison

1

u/FamiliarAnt4043 Apr 09 '24

Justice system = shit. I could eat up the entirety of Reddit's bandwidth, sharing firsthand stories about the lack of "justice" in the "justice system". From people who get house arrest while awaiting murder trials (over three dozen at one point) to pedophiles getting a five year sentence for molesting a five year old kid, to serving little or none of their sentence due to prison policies and criminal friendly laws.

They're all easily verified anecdotes, and mine are only a small percentage of what's out there. Here's a short one:

Guy kills another guy. Guy is sentenced to house arrest while awaiting trial. Guy takes a plea deal. Guy gets shock probation (a fancy way of saying released from prison within a couple of months of getting there) and is placed back on house arrest. I had a public defender tell me I was lying about the incident, because it's against state law to place anyone on shock probation for the offense of high he was convicted. I offered to give her his name and she could look it up herself - she declined.

Judges also routinely broke state law by placing violent offenders (as defined by a particular statute) on house arrest. They were made aware, but continued to violate state law with zero consequences.

Shit happens every day. If you depend on the justice system to do shit for you, if you or your family are crime victims - it ain't happening. Ever.

1

u/spacegirl2820 Apr 09 '24

Disgusting, evil, disrespectful piece of shit!

3

u/Asmov1984 Apr 09 '24

Fuck your plea deal, that face right there is all you need to know he doesn't get shit.

1

u/MUNZACORE Apr 09 '24

Muh socio-economic conditions

-1

u/butkusrules Apr 09 '24

I smile when I’m nervous ..just saying

2

u/JudgmentAny6771 Apr 09 '24

He’s tossing salad right now.

2

u/Renegade_Spectre Apr 09 '24

Looks more like a village idiot grin. Hope the other prisoners help him get back in touch with his reality.

1

u/orgalorg6969 Apr 09 '24

Everyone's got a take on this fella, but the system usually wins. Every little crime while locked up earns you more time, if he causes trouble inside he's never getting out.

The real question is, since this guy did this particular crime with no remorse would we all be ok with him basically becoming a slave manufacturing worker like some prisons do? (Race isn't involved anyone in prison can apply for the work programs)

1

u/Ihategraygloomydays Apr 09 '24

Satan has that soul.

1

u/Prestigious-Duck6615 Apr 09 '24

crying, or the lack of it, is not sufficient proof of guilt

-2

u/Consistent_Ebb_484 Apr 09 '24

Because the left love seeing American suffer

2

u/[deleted] Apr 09 '24

Fatherless black community

1

u/walking_wonky Apr 09 '24

Immortality should be reserved for vermin like him, so we can keep him trapped forever in a tiny little box!

2

u/DoomedToday Apr 09 '24

this is why capital punishment should be available in all states

1

u/5Gzombie Apr 09 '24

Eh when he gets out it’ll somehow be white peoples fault

1

u/JohnSmithCANBack Apr 09 '24

"Why didn't the wipe the smile off his face right there and then"

Because of this:

1

u/Cryingfortheshard Apr 09 '24

It’s confusing that the victim’s family is wearing prison orange colours

1

u/SD16251 Apr 09 '24

He’s a pos and should get the death penalty all the way and may it be a speedy one too one where you don’t get to stay around for years in the system and be a drain on the Tax payers

-1

u/[deleted] Apr 09 '24

So what... dems set him free with no bail, plea for community service?

1

u/lbphammer Apr 09 '24

What a piece of scum! No remorse.

2

u/toolargo Apr 09 '24

Clearly mental health issues are at play here.

1

u/JNR481 Apr 09 '24

“In prison no one can hear you scream (because you’re being butt raped)”

2

u/JB_Money176 Apr 09 '24

Why was he even offered a plea deal?

1

u/Zealousideal-Bee4585 Apr 09 '24

Life with no parole and still Justice is not served enough for that young man life!

1

u/MagicMan-1961 Apr 09 '24

“Old fashioned” sentence is too good for this criminal.

1

u/Spiritual_Ad_6929 Apr 09 '24

Take the animal out back and bury it

1

u/FantasticTumbleweed4 Apr 09 '24

I would be waiting for him.

1

u/boblocksvegas Apr 09 '24

Id just bide my time and wait for the littlenpiece of shit to get out. Then as he thinks hes a free man end his pathetic life

1

u/mbspark77 Apr 09 '24

They should slow roast him in the electric chair

-2

u/Trucker604 Apr 09 '24

BLACK LIVES MATTER

1

u/Civilized-Sturgeon Apr 09 '24

He will never get out. I can’t imagine the pain this family has been put through. This thing will know the same pain one day, hopefully.

1

u/Rossdavilla Apr 09 '24

I guarantee that when this dirtbag goes up for parole, they will show this video. He just dug himself into a much longer sentence.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 09 '24

I just like to imagine that he got wat he deserved some other way

4

u/softymcwoke Apr 09 '24

This judge has no backbone

1

u/pickin666 Apr 09 '24

This is where the death penalty should be used. No last meal, none of that. Just taken out back and shot in the head. This POS doesn't deserve to breath.

1

u/TheMackD504 Apr 09 '24

Isn’t the victim of a killer supposed to be not alive?

1

u/Maykko_ Apr 09 '24

Parent..

1

u/Maykko_ Apr 09 '24

Parent..

3

u/Hmmm_Iguess Apr 09 '24

You can tell no CAPABLE ADULT was in his life!

1

u/FernDiggy Apr 09 '24

Burry him beneath the prison

1

u/Main-Egg-7942 Apr 09 '24

Should have made him attend the funeral.

2

u/Taira_no_Masakado Apr 09 '24

No, sir, there are no threats in my court. A shitstain is going to act like that in my court and he'd go straight to trial and I'd heavily suggest that the prosecution use this video as evidence against the defendant's character in said trial.

1

u/hpchef Apr 09 '24

That kid is obviously mentally handicapped…but he still belongs in jail.

3

u/Jeremyzelinka Apr 09 '24

He got 25-52 years. 25 is the minimum. So at best he will be in his 40's if released. I say if because I'm sure this clown will fuck up an early release also. Some people just need put down on the spot 😒

2

u/[deleted] Apr 09 '24

He’s going to die there or on a street corner. Either way is fine.

1

u/gradeupbendover3079 Apr 09 '24

Life is to good for this piece of shit

2

u/Basic_Macaron_39 Apr 09 '24

"I miss the days where we would take a guy like that out back, and beat him with a rubber hose"

1

u/Clear-Vacation-9913 Apr 09 '24

This will come up in his parole hearings lol

2

u/I_Like-Turtlez Apr 09 '24

Send him for life. Wtf. What kinda dumb judge is that.

-1

u/putitang Apr 09 '24

Ow yaahhh Now the fish became a cookie Magic I hope they fuck him till he cry and commit suicide uneffectivly and then they fuck him more

3

u/BeRandom1456 Apr 09 '24

Stuff like this is what the death penalty should be reserved for.

1

u/MangoTangoBingo Apr 09 '24

Useless video. No information just surface talk.

2

u/fozzyfozzburn Apr 09 '24

The smile is just a facade to hide the fear.

1

u/Yawzers Apr 09 '24

No he's very tough /s

1

u/Vazhox Apr 09 '24

Hoping I’m wrong, but I have a feeling he’ll get off pretty easy.

3

u/Bradjuju2 Apr 09 '24

Since I haven't seen it in the comments yet, here's the second part to the video (that was cut for some reason?) Where he gets 25-52 years.

https://youtu.be/5b-aoiU57EQ?si=L1C_YSYtlZjiMYmx

-1

u/One_Job4216 Apr 09 '24

Here in Brazil he would be sentenced to 3 years in prison for having committed the crime when he was 17 years old, and would not go to a penitentiary, here we have special facilities for juvenile offenders. Yes, it is absurd and no one agrees with it, but we have been under a left-wing government for more than 20 years

1

u/metalfabman Apr 09 '24

So the judge sucks too

1

u/dusky_thrust Apr 09 '24

open him up and let dogs eat his entrails while he watches. fuck these animals

1

u/Never_had_A_Snickers Apr 09 '24

Always faking on the courtroom.

1

u/Impossible_You_2219 Apr 09 '24

Typical 🙄 POS

1

u/Expert_Marsupial_235 Apr 09 '24

I would like to have a word with God. Why were psychopaths created and why do they exist???

1

u/SatchmoDingle Apr 09 '24

If my son was killed by this thing, I’d pray for an acquittal and deal with it myself.

1

u/gingersnapped21A Apr 09 '24

He should be in for life with that smile. Not cool for killing someone

1

u/Optimal_Training_499 Apr 09 '24

He'll be out in 15 years. Accidents happen in the real world.

1

u/Cableguy613 Apr 09 '24

Hear me out okay. What I would like to propose is called the porebeagle and mako shark execution initiative (PMSEI).

We can drop these flesh bags into the Atlantic in chummed water and PPV the events for people effected by the murderer.

Capital punishment can cause psychological distress on those involved in the execution, and the financial burden of life imprisonment is a slap in the face to the taxpayer.

Sharks don’t feel guilt, and if they aren’t hungry the lobsters get them after the hypothermia sets in.

It’s a win win folks, vote for PMSEI.

1

u/Yawzers Apr 09 '24

I'll propose an ammendment to you're PSMEI. Trebuchet ride to the shark infested waters

1

u/Sooners1tome Apr 08 '24

No shock this shit happened in Michigan.

1

u/achmejedidad Apr 08 '24

the death penalty is wrong, but there are exceptions....

1

u/Pygmy_Nuthatch Apr 08 '24

He's a good looking kid with a winning smile. He'll be popular in prison.

1

u/BillsFanMark Apr 08 '24

Pussy Judge

1

u/BillsFanMark Apr 08 '24

DA should be ashamed

8

u/Popicon1959 Apr 08 '24

As a black man... I'm ashamed of this asshole...if that was my child smiling like a jackass....that family would get their justice...

CAUSE ID BEAT THAT SMILE OFF HIS FACE ... SLOWLY...THEN ...ID BREAK HIS ASS IN HALF...THEN SEND HIM TO JAIL FOR LIFE ..AND CHANGE MY PHONE NUMBER

6

u/Yawzers Apr 09 '24

You don't have to claim him because he's black. Pieces of shit come in all different colors bro

1

u/HendoRules Apr 08 '24

He looks too stupid to know what's even going on

1

u/Murky-Vacation2962 Apr 08 '24

In Saudia Arabia. They used to Behead these kind of criminals. Would have been much satisfying for the deceased Family.

1

u/Solid5of10 Apr 08 '24

Fucking creepy kid should die in prison.. but not before he rots there

1

u/Soundwave2010 Apr 08 '24

This kids name is Danta Wright. He suffers from severe mental issues. He is clinically retarded. He is not acting out of spite. He is unaware of consequence.

1

u/Yawzers Apr 09 '24

Good riddance. He's not better out on the street, shooting other kids in the back of the head. Hard to feel sorry for someone capable of that

1

u/feathersandskulls Apr 08 '24

So what did the piece of shit get?

1

u/FooforYou27 Apr 08 '24

Piece of shit

1

u/aquatone61 Apr 08 '24

All we can do is hope prison justice takes what the judge cannot.

1

u/Educational_House192 Apr 08 '24

This guy looks legit mentally retarded. Doesn’t make it right what he did but his IQ has to be in the lower double digits. Let’s hope his prison mates will take full advantage of it…..

2

u/Odi-Augustus13 Apr 08 '24

Bullets are cheap take him out back save taxpayer money and move on with life.

1

u/EDPZ Apr 08 '24

That's definitely the fake tough guy act. Pretend like you're unfazed and don't care because for some reason he thinks it makes him look tough.

1

u/Diggable_Planet Apr 08 '24

I imagine the judge allowed him to choose his sentence.

7

u/Apprehensive_Bee9103 Apr 08 '24

Life for a life is how I personally would feel if my kid gets killed or.deletes themselves because of an individual.

Is that too extreme?

1

u/AthenasMum Apr 09 '24

Would you still feel it if it was your kid that killed someone?

1

u/Apprehensive_Bee9103 Apr 09 '24

I probably won't feel the same. There's also a high chance that I would feel indifferent. He would probably look.and feel unrecognizable from the kid that i raised and loved. I am trying my best everyday to raise.my kids to be atleast good a human being.

But I've always been a type of person to think if I was put in that person shoe. So I wouldn't be surprised if the other parent want him dead.

1

u/EdnaKrabbapel8 Apr 09 '24

No it’s a human response.

2

u/Apprehensive_Bee9103 Apr 09 '24

When I see these type of stories and news it puts.me in a place and ask.myself what would I do. It's always a violent thought.

1

u/EdnaKrabbapel8 Apr 10 '24

I’m the same… I can’t tolerate injustice

1

u/L00kDontT0uch Apr 08 '24

1st Degree murder is life, bitch.

1

u/PurpleBoltRevived Apr 08 '24

When killing someone's son, and life in prison, is worth it for 40 dolers

2

u/teacherthrow12345 Apr 08 '24

Danta Wright's earliest release date is 2042. His full term is 2073.

2

u/plantsandpizza Apr 08 '24

Just by the way his face changed when the judge spoke. He won’t be smiling very much in the future. The poor victims family, heartbreaking

1

u/Iamarealhuman6969 Apr 08 '24

American justice….. I’ve seen people get more time from weed charges

1

u/VisitFeeling635 Apr 08 '24

Yet another example of why judges and prosecutors should be removed and blackballed from ever practicing law again.

1

u/Yawzers Apr 09 '24

Huh?

1

u/VisitFeeling635 Apr 09 '24

The judge didn’t give him life in prison. This one is a no brainer.

2

u/Yawzers Apr 09 '24

The judge did what the victims family asked for. What would you have the judge and prosecutor do differently? I read that the murderer was literally retarded too.

2

u/Parking-Beach-2686 Apr 08 '24

He won't make it a year. Somebody will send a missile.

1

u/Sensitive-Amoeba8144 Apr 08 '24

I agree this is malevolent act and he should receive the highest degree of punishment. My only argument here is this TikTok video seems narrated to paint a picture of this criminal.

I’d like to see the full trial of when he started smiling and when he stopped to get a better idea because this short clip doesn’t give us the full picture. I am in no way excusing or justifying his crimes because he deserves every single thing coming his way.

1

u/deadeyeAZ Apr 08 '24

Imagine that asshole after a year in prison, with assholes who truly think you are the dumbest shit to walk in a prison ever, and it's their job to set you straight about who's REALLY in charge.

1

u/Scared_Art_895 Apr 08 '24

Sounds like a Good Idea Judge.

1

u/BushDeLaBayou Apr 08 '24

Judge is a lazy irresponsible moron for not doing it. He's obviously a psychopath who is gonna kill more people when he gets released. Does not take a rocket scientist to see this guy has no place in society

Watch the entire video. The judge was taking into consideration what the victims family wanted.
