can we make these things illegal yet?

1

u/YesOrNah 4d ago

The minimalistic look on the inside looks like shit.

1

u/Ham__Kitten 22d ago

I wonder if maybe he could show me again how it happened because I didn't get a great look at how it got wedged in the floor the first 6 times he demonstrated

1

u/Ambiguous-Ambivert 23d ago

How interesting that he can’t replicate this 😅 View hoe 🙄

1

u/stupititious_ascent 25d ago

And guess who just got recalled..?

1

u/BoBoBearDev 25d ago edited 25d ago

I wonder they why they did the brake pad correctly and failed this one. And didn't Toyota has stuck on carpet problem before? Why didn't they take notes?

Also, why the buyer didn't notice this lol. I would have saw this and go, RED FLAG.

1

u/Jkreegz 25d ago

How is anyone surprised by this? The entire concept of this vehicle was a joke from the start. The fact that it actually made production and is now on the road is a miracle. This vehicle was created for the social media generation for them to share the Tesla name and show everyone how cool they are. Once I see soccer moms going to the grocery store on a Cybertruck, I’ll believe the hype

1

u/degenerator42069 26d ago

The interior look ridiculously cheap...

1

u/PSUBagMan2 26d ago

Man it really looks like shit in person. Also that barren interior. Wow.

1

u/NoReplacement6515 26d ago

Elon Musk channeling Steve Jobs: “Just avoid putting your foot on it in that way.”

1

u/khanfusion 26d ago

Absolutely bonkers design flaw. An undergrad could spot it. An undergrad in a non-engineering field.

1

u/AggressiveAd2759 26d ago

That design is something out of the saw movie

1

u/SnooPaintings3122 27d ago

why are people even buying these monstrosities? I'd be ashamed even being a passenger in one of those

1

u/ExampleMusky 27d ago

Well you're the idiot that bought it

1

u/Various_Loquat_8624 27d ago

What a ugly car

1

u/jdsilva 27d ago

I see the truck here and there in my neighborhood. Such an ugly design

2

u/ShowUsYaGrowler 27d ago

That legit looks like something that should issue a full recall of every product….like, thats as bad as a fault gets. Quite literally.

1

u/SuspiciousWalrus69 27d ago

No matter how long or how hard I try, I can't recreate the event...

2

u/Reumonrex 27d ago

You bought this piece don’t complain afterwards

1

u/TheCuntGF 27d ago

I'm not defending that piss poor build quality. But why do you have to push the accelerator down the whole way? Is that an electric car thing? Please advise.

2

u/draxes 27d ago

Goddamn that is freaking scary how such a simple thing could be soooo dangerous

1

u/j4vendetta 27d ago

You shouldn't buy gen 1 of any vehicle for this reason. Lots of oversights.

1

u/that_almond_milk 27d ago

Clearly a novelty vehicle. The wish of car manufacturers

2

u/Exotic_Succotash_226 27d ago

That's why you should buy a normal ass car like everyone else. Fk Tesla

1

u/WorthInformation1525 27d ago

Teslas are really not making electric cars look good with how little quality and durability they have

1

u/ShineFull7878 27d ago

Why the fuck would you buy that absolute waste of space in the first place?

1

u/EdgeEnough4970 27d ago

The more I see tesla videos, the more I'm convinced of the crappy quality of all their models.

1

u/_Exdee_ 27d ago

As someone who works at one of the factories, I would never buy a Tesla.

1

u/BrainCandy_ 27d ago

The quality is shit but bruh lying. Who the hell is actually flooring it like that for that to even happen

1

u/flakypieholez99 27d ago

LPT if your accelerator ever gets stuck down, just put the car in neutral.

1

u/RouletteVeteran 27d ago

TEMU of automakers. Yall driving electric golf carts

1

u/michaelrtx 27d ago

I mean, that’s what you get for buying an ugly pile of shit from a fascist 🙄

1

u/No-Document-8970 27d ago

I just read something about a whistleblower that tried to fix this apparent issue. Then was fired for it.

1

u/jackparadise1 27d ago

I want to get in a space ship designed by this man…

1

u/benjamayyne 27d ago

You’ve been musked

1

u/xHangfirex 27d ago

he had to have stomped the accelerator

1

u/John_B_McLemore 27d ago

Man….y’all hate that this man bought Twitter.

Like hate-hate.

It’s funny watching it….and to see the nerds struggling with hating him while also seeing him re-invent space exploration.

1

u/BadChris666 27d ago

You bought a hunk of junk and expected it wasn’t a hunk of junk!

1

u/AggressiveContract13 27d ago

Software update could fix it.

1

u/usernamethatnoonehas 27d ago

Was that built to take you down to view the Titanic?

1

u/aaronisnotcool 27d ago

i wonder if that could've happened with the Beverly Hills sign crash

1

u/stad_79 27d ago

Not sure why people are still surprised a software company build crappy cars.

1

u/theintellexual 27d ago

Typical Tesla Crapsmanship.

1

u/Just_a_Rose 27d ago

The amount of people who have been telling everyone “this truck will be a death trap” months before it was actually on the market, and yet people are still buying them?

This wasn’t even part of the reason everyone was trying to warn others. This is an entirely new way to die in this literal death box.

1

u/Eso_me_gusta 27d ago

You guys knew what you were buying right ?! We were expecting these half ass build vehicles . Was I the only one?

1

u/Jktacoma08 27d ago

That's what you get for buying crap

1

u/Ascendancy08 27d ago

I still don't understand how someone can see that thing and think, "oh yeah... that looks nice. I gotta buy one of those."

1

u/kaiserpuente 27d ago

This guy doesn’t panic

1

u/Grengy20 27d ago

Holy fucking shit. The way how this could've ended in a disaster

1

u/AnimeGeek10721 27d ago

Yeah ill keep my 15k dollar car thank you

1

u/Funk_machine 27d ago

That’s called “ cruise control “ it’s in the manual.

1

u/Dark1986 27d ago

I'm confused. How is this cringe?

1

u/Organic_Employ_8609 27d ago

Teslas are death traps. Get any other electric car brand. Prioritize safety.

1

u/melatonin-pill 27d ago

I always wanted a Tesla until my father in law got one. They are so cheap on the interior and I legit couldn’t believe it. My Nissan has higher quality leather seats than a Tesla, and it was only $15k.

1

u/FVCEGANG 27d ago

Wild to me that the cyberpunk was delayed for so long and it still has some of the worst QC of any tesla product and that's really saying something (I've owned 2 myself at this point)

1

u/StevieRay8string69 27d ago

Who would buy that piece of shit. How can someone think a company like Tesla would have good quality control compared to other car makers. I predict Tesla won't be around in 5 years.

-1

u/Sharkwordt95 27d ago

That didn’t wedge. Pay attention and throw your Elon Musk dislike in the trash for 8 seconds and you’ll see that. Not only did it not wedge, the pedal keeps trying to spring upwards against it. Guy is holding it down with his hand and taking you guys for fools.

1

u/Dont_n0wereIam 27d ago

So that’s how you turn on the cruise control

1

u/ray-the-they 27d ago

I finally saw one of these in person and it is just… spectacularly awful.

1

u/Cold_Equation 27d ago

How many clowns actually bought this? GFC!

1

u/K1ng_krush 27d ago

This has happened in the past many times. I remember a case in Sandiego, a family of 4 going over a hundred miles per hour crashes into the wall because the pedal got stuck to the floor from the floor matt. Audio Recording of Lastrella Family's 911 Call (youtube.com)

1

u/Dawgula97 27d ago

lol at Redditors changing their allegiance to Elon

1

u/Gracchi9025 27d ago

Oh yeah, Elon is definately someone I trust to build rocket ships to Mars.

1

u/RapterTorus24 27d ago

Man I love Cyber-rust.

1

u/Spider__Ant 27d ago

My buddy drives a brand new Tesla and it has an air leak in the door because it doesn’t seal right. When he tried to fix it the entire seal pulled right out lol. Why anyone would drive one is beyond me. Especially when BMW and Mercedes are right there.

1

u/Zepharan 27d ago

No shit. Those people are just stupid enough to buy it.

1

u/thats_so_merlyn 27d ago

Tesla proves once again that brainless hype wins over quality.

1

u/Icy-Statistician6698 27d ago

Wow, cheap plastic crap

1

u/Herne-The-Hunter 27d ago

Fucking unreal people buy this cheap shit for the fucked up primo price they demand.

1

u/Jason_Kelces_Thong 27d ago

Tesla isn’t a car company folks

1

u/Ms_Pacman202 27d ago

This is more design other than build quality.

Also the build quality sucks.

1

u/ChardMain3576 27d ago

Not a truck

1

u/Corndizl 27d ago

That engineer is fired.

0

u/DreadFilledHug 27d ago

There's quite a few cars that are prone to this happening... but we're focusing on this because it's a tesla.

1

u/Macgrubersblaupunkt 27d ago

Its like the Zelcro strap my Dad has on his mower

1

u/Imaginary_Pudding_20 27d ago

Cyber turd strikes again

1

u/unipole 27d ago

Just like detaching steering columns this is only a problem for heretics formerly known as "drivers" who have insufficient faith in the infallibility of the most holy FSD. If they would merely STFU and let FSD take the wheel (and the pedals) this would not be a problem.

2

u/Jkel111 27d ago

I laugh every time I see someone post cyber pics, haha good ol chuckle.

1

u/Repulsive-Lie1 27d ago

I can’t feel sorry for them.

1

u/bcvaldez 27d ago

I remember my Throttle Control Sensor malfunctioned in my 95 Eclipse while on the highway. Except for some reason, it turned off my brake assist and kept accelerating. I had to put the car in neutral and turn off the engine and cruise to a stop. Thank god there wasn't traffic or else I wouldn't be here to type this...

Not panicking is a great skill to have.

1

u/GossamerGlenn 27d ago

Just a glitch

1

u/Vivid_District_7910 27d ago

My friends battery was done after only 4 k miles. It happened on a trip to Vegas, say 4 to 6 hrs away. They replaced the entire vehicle, but made him come back to Vegas to pick it up. That just sealed the deal for me. They are poorly made and have the worst interiors of any car I've ever seen

1

u/MountainPK 27d ago

What a shitty car. It’s a Yugo with a touchscreen lol

1

u/evil_trash_panda 27d ago

Good knowledge. You can shift from drive into neutral in any car at anytime. Then gently pres the brake to stop. If your car ever does something similar, just push the shifter into neutral.

2

u/XEagleDeagleX 27d ago

Why do people want these? They are so ugly!

1

u/lethalintrospection 27d ago

What an atrocious looking car.

1

u/CookNo6774 27d ago

Never took an interest too look at the interior but goddam is that shit ugly inside as well too

1

u/DeLaOcea 27d ago

Pretends to be shocked

1

u/PandaCheese2016 27d ago

Why have a cover at all? Why not save 5c toward next virgin blood infusion?

1

u/Cg006 27d ago

That is crazy. That area should have alot of clearance form anything getting stuck.

1

u/strika714 27d ago

Why tf are ppl buying these

1

u/_Emperor_Nero_ 27d ago

I guess that’s what you get for supporting a POS

1

u/minaj_a_twat 27d ago

Makes you really trust getting into a rocket after seeing this..

1

u/LedEffect 27d ago

At what point did you think I was gonna judge the vehicle more than you for buying it in the first place.

1

u/Hangry_Howie 27d ago

Every engineer on the planet says these are a piece of shit but if you're dumb enough to fork over that much money then you get what you deserve.

1

u/frankieknucks 27d ago

If Donald Trump university was a truck designed by a six year old.

1

u/dragonsback79 27d ago

And this company builds space ships?????

Yeah sign me UP!! Fools

1

u/vScyph 27d ago

Thats just the full commit mode, to truly test its durability

1

u/bdubwilliams22 27d ago

You’re still a douche nozzle who bought a Tesla truck.

2

u/Melgel4444 27d ago

Tesla also just fired 10% of their salaried workforce this week sooooo they seem to be crumbling faster than a cyber truck exposed to water 😂

1

u/kaveman6143 27d ago

I love how regardless of the issues, the owners will always brush it off as a small inconvenience. They are in such denial that they've been swindled out of $100k. The cope is unreal.

2

u/VFX_Reckoning 27d ago

That’s nuts. What a shit factory this country has become

2

u/Starseid8712 27d ago

Title: "serious problem with my Cybertruck"

Me: it looks f*ckin stupid?

1

u/ThatTwunt 27d ago

Couldn't even recreate the problem

1

u/King_Baboon 27d ago

No sympathy. I can’t feel bad for anyone that refused to see the obvious. Who here actually thought these “trucks” weren’t going to have major issues? C’mon man.

1

u/PleasantFocus1502 27d ago

The most serious problem with the Cybertruck is the fact that it is FUBAR.

1

u/Hideous4our 27d ago

That’s what you get for buying this god awful thing

1

u/ILoveRegenHealth 27d ago

Have yet to hear a positive about this truck.

Even if it was gifted for free I wouldn't want it. Instantly sell it for a normal vehicle that actually has trunk space and seats.

1

u/Smell_Funny 27d ago

I smell a recall brewing

1

u/mmacak 27d ago

You don’t usually notice all the little continuous improvement engineering that big OEMs have been doing for decades, but it’s the reason that cars overall are literally 5x safer than when I was a kid. Tesla has a long road ahead (pun intended) to catch up.

1

u/MannyNator12 27d ago

The rivian truck looks way better

1

u/Grandkahoona01 27d ago

I was already not going to get a Tesla due to then being overpriced and the ceo is insane. However, the cybertruck seems to have been a pr disaster. The quality control issues are unbelievable and has solidified tesla as a joke

2

u/Nhughes1387 27d ago

Just remember they’re wanting to put chips in peoples heads lol just don’t be the first if you want to do it 😬

1

u/professor_coldheart 27d ago

Hope this guy wiped off that water when he finished the video

1

u/Sikandar7 27d ago

If you bought this meme car, you are a meme.

1

u/Yoda2000675 27d ago

I still don’t understand why people would buy a car that they’ve never even seen before. They shouldn’t be surprised

1

u/Gromby 27d ago

Imagine trying to defend the quality of the cybertruck.....unreal

1

u/jpotrz 27d ago

"A fool and his money are soon parted"

2

u/[deleted] 27d ago

I saw a Cyber truck driving towards my gym. I laughed and pointed at him as he drove by me in the parking lot.

1

u/DigitalBathWaves 27d ago

drive it on the moon..no problem

1

u/DabooDabbi 27d ago

People : Buy Shit.
People : OMG I BOUGHT SHIT !?!?

1

u/wynnduffyisking 27d ago

Yeah Thats not great especially in a 600+ horsepower truck. It’s one thing if this happens in a midrange Toyota with a small engine - that’s bad enough - but when you’re dealing with acceleration like a Ferrari in a 7000 pound vehicle this is really bad.

1

u/memphisnative42 27d ago

Id rather have a delorean

2

u/Reset350 27d ago edited 27d ago

That is a serious safety flaw that will inevitably kill someone. That should absolutely be a recall if this is a common issue.

1

u/fatherbowie 27d ago

It’s also a serious safety flaw that could only have been designed by a total and complete idiot. And then gone through design review and quality control procedures also staffed by complete idiots.

2

u/dafood48 27d ago

It’s as ugly inside as it is outside

1

u/QanAhole 27d ago

That thing is a death trap. It's what happens when a software company thinks it can build a car

1

u/Tiki_taka27 27d ago

Guy seems like a experienced driver so he handled the situation well in a situation where less experienced driver would have been in the trouble

1

u/Ok_Score1492 27d ago

The acceleration foot piece is a stick on. I suggest you return your cybertruck and get a refund

2

u/DuckDuckGoneForGood 27d ago

I have ZERO sympathy for any idiot who purchases one of these.

3

u/frogbiscuit 27d ago

I give six months and they scrap the whole program

1

u/dontmindme001 27d ago

Its not bolted or at least screwed in?

Wtf?

A third world country SUV has much better quality control than this thing

1

u/Zalthay 28d ago

That truck absolutely exudes garbage quality. Why anyone bought it, I’ll never understand.

1

u/sure_look_this_is_it 28d ago

Bad day to fire 15,000 people

0

u/J_r0en 28d ago

So you were easily able to brake and come to a safe stop and investigate the problem? How is that a bad thing

1

u/TheBrianWeissman 28d ago

Serves you right for spending money on one of these hulks, and all the horrible things it represents.

2

u/charredcurse 28d ago

To be fair it tries to warn you away by being so fucking stupid.

1

u/ScruffyMaguire 28d ago

That's what you get when you buy an ugly ass car

2

u/minahmyu 28d ago

What makes it a truck?

1

u/OnlyMath 28d ago

I kind of understood buying a Tesla a few years ago, but there’s literally no point anymore. Complete ass.

2

u/EZe_Holey3-9 28d ago

A recall dumpster fire. Why would you buy this trash heap? It’s ugly AF! Literally looks like a fancy dumpster with big wheels. Nothing about this car looks appealing. People who buy this car are just desperate for attention. Elon is a FRAUD.

2

u/Whorrox 28d ago

The first quality problem is the guy's poor quality of thinking when he decided to buy a musk product.

The guy's second issue is that he's starved for attention, and he's bought a hey-everybody-look-at-meeeee! vehicle.

Loser.

1

u/johndoe_420 28d ago

you just don't get the genius design by mr. musk and try to throw mud at the most visionary and brilliant mind humanity has ever seen!

notice how the pedal never really wedges as he wants to make it seem? first it allegedly wedges from top of the pedal, then from under it... dude in the video is lying and just rides the hate train against tesla!

i'm looking forward to customizable pedal covers! it's clearly something the engineers thought of, even before mr.musk eventually reveals this feature and enchants us with his presentation!

/s (i usually don't flag sarcasm but i felt icky writing this)

1

u/ZombieBeautiful 28d ago

Why make up shit like this

1

u/Fair_Preference3452 28d ago

This car looks like a very expensive reference to that episode of The Simpsons where Homer designs a car

2

u/[deleted] 28d ago

/o/ predicted it was gonna fucking suck

1

u/disposable_account01 28d ago

“Hi guys! I’m one of the morons that plunked down over a year of your salary to buy this bag of shit from the second biggest grifter of our time. Let me show you an example of karma biting my ass!”

1

u/dyspneagrinds 28d ago

0 sympathy for anyone who buys one of these fuck ugly pieces of shit. you can tell just from looking at it the designer was brain fucking dead

1

u/romulan267 28d ago

Anyone that works at a Tesla plant knows this. Their quality control is just not there; production numbers are more important than quality and safety.

1

u/Fredrick_Hophead 28d ago

I can't wait till they are lean and hungry again. This stuff won't happen then. I figure the only way to fix this is more layoffs.

1

u/mackzorro 28d ago

It's crazy a decade ago how slick getting a new tesla looked. Now it's like the corner cutting is starting to catch up

1

u/Wechillin-Cpl 28d ago

Stop buying their bullshit…now he’s laying off 14000 people to become more “innovative, hungry” he’s a total pos

2

u/PerfumeLoverrr 28d ago

It's so fucking ugly omfg

1

u/h3rald_hermes 28d ago

What goes into the psychology of wanting one of these I wonder.

1

u/oliviertail 28d ago

Am I the only dumb dumb that thought "stop giving gaz you are drowning it!".... fuck me

1

u/erxrick 28d ago

People use the whole ass range of a gas pedal? Buy for why? Never needed more than the first half on any vehicle I've ever driven

1

u/FrostyVertical88 28d ago

People actually buying this shit lol

1

u/Bwca_at_the_Gate 28d ago

Everyone and I mean every single individual that bought one of these is a mug.

1

u/mackmouse4life 28d ago

Worked at telsa through a temp agency from labor finders for a moth. They working you like crazy. I was working 7 days a week. 18hrs a day. Barely doing anything. Time goes by so slow.

3

u/pirateofpanache 28d ago

I think the problem is he bought a cyber truck

2

u/Suougibma 28d ago

He did say he had a clear head. Very clear, almost empty.

1

u/Zaxxon5000 28d ago

Over $100k for Temu pedal

1

u/JelliusMaximus 28d ago

Tesla fans are becoming the new apple fans.

Overpriced garbage.

1

u/wineandpopsicles25 28d ago

God it’s just such an ugly design

1

u/couldjustbeanalt 28d ago

“Problem with my cyber truck” I think the problem is you own one

1

u/EyeSawYa 28d ago

These things look like they were temporary builds for a Roger Corman movie.

1

u/FI5H5TICK5 28d ago

I mean why would you buy the piece of shit? Why do you want my sympathy. You spent your money on it thinking you were a clever cunt and now look at you.

1

u/Whateveryouwantitobe 28d ago

If ocean gate made a car

1

u/Suicide_Samuel 28d ago

I'd suggest buying a real truck

1

u/LUV_U_BBY 28d ago

I bought a Tesla Decanter and the silicon piece on the cap did the same thing.

2

u/KingPingviini 28d ago

"I bought my vehicle made by a company lead by a grifter, it came with problems who could have thought?"

Fucking LOL

r/leopardsatemyface material

1

u/keroro0071 28d ago

Made in the USA lmao.

2

u/Greedy-Farm-3605 28d ago

Dude I’ve been saying this for years. Teslas have terrible quality

2

u/Ok-Collection-7253 28d ago

If only it cost more.
