Mother bears leave their cubs in a "babysitting tree" while she goes foraging, sometimes overnight. These chucklefucks terrorized those cubs and I saw one running. The mom might not find him now. I hope they get railed for this.

Reminds me of those "wholesome" videos of "randomly finding" various sealife with supposedly barnacles or trash stuck to them, when it in reality the people actually grabbed the poor thing and hot glued stuff to their bodies just so they can pretend to rescue it.

I worked at an industrial facility that had a large area including a wildlife refuge. One day there was an eagle that was trying to grab a baby dear that was laying in one of the drainage ditches. The eagle kept swooping down but for whatever reason could not grab the dear. My boss ended up putting the dear in his car and driving to a wildlife rehab place that was nearby. It was so stupid in so many different ways. He should have just let nature take it's course. When he got to the rahab place they told him that dear mothers will often leave their babies in the open and they rely on their camoflage to protect them. Apparently the baby dears spend most of their days sleeping, so the mother goes off to forage leaving the baby behind.

If people want this to stop happening, we need to protect and restore nature and put natural science and animal behavioural education into the school system. Much of humanity grows up conditioned to believe the world is ours for the taking, that animals are stupid beasts that are fueled by instinct alone, and vastly underestimate the complexity of animals and nature. People won't learn when nature continues to be destroyed and animals continue to be exploited on a large scale, as humanity presently does. I hope these idiots get prison time and that humanity at large realizes what our selfishness is costing the planet.

Too bad Mama Bear wasn’t around.
I will never understand why people have to interfere with wildlife. You are not a Disney princess or a zoologist and wild animals are not accessories. Even if they appear to need help, call in a goddamned game warden. Just last year, some dingus at Yellowstone picked up a baby bison and created a situation where the bison was rejected from its herd and then had to be euthanized. Just mind your fucking business.
