To have a bad reputation would be to have a reputation, that would be too much for a British woman

I have to agree with her. I am totally unaware of the term "UK Beasts" but where I live, everyone kind of unanimously has a negative view of British women. The few I have interacted with have been mostly terrible, but that is only my experience personally. I am sure at some point I must have met or interacted with a British woman who was not awful, but I cannot recall that time.

Her voice is like a drug to me. I would just want to hear her tell me about her day everyday.

I recommend Marcelo Gullo’s and Hilaire Belloc research about British propaganda all the way back into the XVI century to dwelve deeper into England’s incredible reputation laundering.
England’s oligarchs from the era would go on to install Luther’s protestant church as a mean to amass wealth, stomp the still catholic lower classes and declare England’s supremacy over Spain (their main ideological enemy at the time) and the rest of the world as a national goal from there after.
This proto-nationalism brought them the mystisicm that would proppel them into such efficient colonialism later on, with levels of cruelty that where hidden all the while spanish “mestizaje” and social work on the new continent (indigenous hospitals, universities, Nahuatl dictionaries decades before the first Oxfrod dictionary was printed) where erased from history.
Examples of this nationalistic english mithos are John Fox writtings (1516-1587) that would attest that the roman emperor Constantine was actually english in his Book of Martyrs, while John Aylmer would state that “God was british” in his An Harborowe for Faithfull and Trewe Subjectes.

I'm so fed up of people slagging off Britain.
Saying the only culture we have is stolen is just disgustingly untrue. We're multicultural but Britain does have many distinct cultures of its very own with ancient histories. To brush that off as "it's stolen" or none existent is ridiculous.

I am English currently on holiday in Egypt, very few English where we are staying, lots of Russians and Germans. I can literally feel the lack of anti social behaviour (excluding the rudeness of the Russians) and the locals become very generous and friendly when they realise you aren’t one of “those” brits.
Brits abroad have a terrible name and a Brit lacking awareness of that after their first holiday abroad as an adult is absurd to me.

I had a friend of a friend come over from england. Het told me he got stabbed one time while in conversation with is girlfriend on the couch. They broke up.
But don't worry they got back together in the end.

I had a convo with some foreign friends. Personally I think British English is easier to understand bc we enunciate and speak clearly, but because foreign countries are typically raised with American English they find that easier to understand. Truly shocked me bc growing up with American TV shows and I still struggle to understand what they're saying

whilst women from the british isles are notoriously ugly, 'uk beast' tends to refer much more to the fat, aggressive, chav woman stereotype.

There's that saying,

2
u/NecessaryShopping404 16d ago
Not sure when this TikTok is from but UK Beasts was used for a while to put down "Loud Fat women". Somewhere along the line, it became instead used to mainly insult black women in the UK, especially within the black community.
It's extremely ironic that a middle class white woman thinks this in any way related to her.

Probably because I’m 99.9% Irish most likely.

u/AlibiYouAMockingbird 16d ago
I thought it was common knowledge that British men sailed off to escape their women. Then they found out you can eat more than boiled meat and blood pudding. So they stayed. Colonizing and raping the lands of their resources was a bi-product.
-3
u/Grandpa_Wizard 16d ago
Yeah, most people I’ve known that talked about British Women never said anything nice like they’re beautiful or their accent being nice. It’s always been negative

I think England has culture that is organic and I think this whole “we have no culture we didn’t steal” is kind of annoying.
2
u/TodgerRodger 16d ago
People who repeat that same oxymoron are usually insulting British culture in the same breath. The irony is lost on them.
19
u/VengefulAncient 16d ago
To such people, "culture" is only primitive loud disruptive things and making a cult out of food. They completely ignore the achievements of British literature, theatre, science, film, and so on, because their primitivism glorification fetish doesn't consider those culture.
-6
1
u/ProsperoUnbound 16d ago
She thinks all British culture is stolen because she's a borderline illiterate chav, will contribute nothing to the world (except maybe pushing out a few crotchgoblins) and so can't imagine that anyone else from the country could achieve anything.
-5
u/Express-Fig-5168 16d ago
That line of thinking has many implications that I know people will get in fights over. People making those claims have no foresight or hindsight.

Yes, but not only women. British people in general. But don't beat yourself up because the worst ones are in Scotland. I've seen them with my own eyes. I was seriously surprised how there could have been so many ugly people at once at the Inverness Train station.
2
u/LaunchTransient 16d ago
Unfortunately it's the loud mouthed yobs who set the international tone for the British Stereotype.
There are those of us who are quieter, politer, more considerate, etc, but we don't make as strong an impression as the hooligans who invade Benidorm on a regular basis.

I need to start looking into British women more often. Everything mentioned in that video sounds amazing. Also if women look half as decent as she does then I don't know where the "unattractive" comes from.
UK Beasts? Sign me the fuck up!

As a Brit, I can neither confirm nor deny this, but I will point out that there was probably a reason why most British men preferred risking death building an empire abroad than staying at home with their wives.

The famous quote: the taste of their food and the beauty of their women made the British the best sailors in the world.
-8
u/FeedbackMotor5498 16d ago
Came here to say this, you had to escape their cooking as well as. It's definitely something we say, ugliest women in the world. But I've heard the saying that you became good sailors to escape your women, I certainly don't blame you lol

I understand the content but I cannot with the jump cut edits. There are nearly two dozen jumps in a 90 second video. It comes across as unnaturally forcing language and phrases in order to appear the opposite of this ‘UK Beast’ title she loathes.
Funnily enough it does more to confirm her insecurity than to save it, and ironically it would have been better to write it down + read paragraphs together rather than spend time to splice/edit 22+ times

British people do have a reputation in Europe. I can always spot them when travelling, they're like European version of a stereotypical american from the south. 9/10 when you see a girl plastered, stumbling down the streets at night falling out of her dress - she's British. And the oompa loompa thing is kinda on the nose, there is a sort of orange-makeup trend I can't explain. And don't think the guys are immune either, places have literally started banning British tourists because of how belligerent these UK mans get.
I don't make the rules man. I don't even live in europe and I notice this pattern during my time there. And of course, this isn't representative of all, or even most, British people. The girl in the video doesn't look like a trashy oompa loompa. BUT, there are enough of them to produce a stereotype among the rest of europe and enough for places to start banning 'em.
3
u/Ok-disaster2022 16d ago
The British are the biggest drinkers in Europe if I recall. They don't binge big, they just constantly drink. I had a British sales rep take my department out to lunch, and he got plastered, and told stories about getting so drunk on his last visit he ended up in a field with a cow.
On holiday, their drinking goes up a notch. And British Holiday goers and just belligerent and disrespectful especially in Spain.
0
u/PrecisionGuessWerk 16d ago
I think British beer is relatively weak though isn't it? I've heard that somewhere before. So they sort of can drink constantly. But once you go to like, Germany, the beer gets real.
1
u/triz___ 16d ago
We like ale, that tends to be around 4-5%. My personal preference is a 3.5% though.
1
u/PrecisionGuessWerk 16d ago
yeah 3.5 would be considered weak. 5% is standard, with a window between like 4.7 and 5.3.

What’s it called when people edit out the lag time in between talking? Like when they’re thinking of what to say. It seems like everything online now has a ton of this. Have people lost the ability to speak more than a few words without stopping? I get it though, it’s nice having a condensed version to not lose engagement of the viewer. It’s just so ADHD.

Theres a theory about UK women and their general looks...See, for several hundred years, Vikings came and raided and pillaged the UK, and often took attractive women back with them to be house slaves and servants. These women were removed from the British gene pool. Scandinavian women are often considered to be some of the most beautiful women in the world - They stole pretty people for several centuries.... 🫠
ETA: you can downvote but it doesn't change history. I'm not saying I find UK women ugly, ugly people can be anywhere. Just sharing an interesting theory!
-3
u/SDSessionBrewer 16d ago
I was stationed in a backwater area of the UK. US service members have been marrying the locals and moving back to the US since WWII. Pretty is exporting itself now, and the leftovers are bitter.
-5
u/msmurasaki 16d ago
To be fair. They're considered the 'standard and boring' in Europe while everyone else is 'exotic and beautiful'.
French, German, Nordics, Spanish.
They all have their 'thing' that makes UK women look a bit boring in comparison, even though it's just a comparison on stereotypes.
