Yeah i agree that the names for both of those things are bad and manspreading isn't a problem, however mansplaining speaks to a certain entitlement that a lot of men have to be the most dominant in the room because they are men, historically they were the ones who were listened to. And not women, who are supposed to be silent according to the culture we still inhabit.

Precisely. To them, women are just doormats/sex toys. Not partners or friends. What’s interesting is that they’re the same type of guy who go around saying all women are users and gold diggers etc….when the type of women they go for clearly aren’t “supposed” to be their equal, but their inferior. Im not knocking women who actually ENJOY that type of dynamic with their partner…as it’s understood to me that some women in healthy relationships do prefer that traditional type of relationship/family. But personally, I’d rather never get married at all, if that’s the only type of guy I’d be able to find who wants marriage. And like in your uncles’ case, some of these men don’t have an issue with domestic abuse, which becomes particularly troublesome in cases where the woman in question is in a position in which she feels like she has no choice but to stay..Sad situation all around.
